- Grace D'Angelo - 07-16-2012 [html] Word Count :: 379 Book worm ¬.¬
Deftly her hands skimmed through the delicate ivory pages, completely absorbed in the task of reading the faded black ink covering many of them, ocean eyes tracking the curves and harsh scribble of the author of the book she currently browsed through. The content was intriguing in the slightest; theories regarding right and wrong, the whole good vs evil stuff that was neither right or wrong in her opinion. No, she believed everyone possessed their own ideal 'right' and 'wrong' and many times one individuals theory on the matter clashed with another, although reading some strangers thoughts on the matter was intriguing even when she didn't agree to them. Flicking the page over she pursed her lips, scanning the page quickly. None of the content was new to her, having read through this particular work many times already in an hour or so of boredom; nor did she discover new bits, a new angle to look at something from or anything like that which strongly indicated that there was no use in keeping the book any more. Overall it was in fairly good condition; the text was readable and the ink not too faded, the pages only slightly yellowed with the odd corner folded down. Closing the book she lightly tan her hand over the leather cover that hugged the pages, picking it up she placed it in the donate pile before reaching over and grabbing the next one in which she needed to review and make the choice whether to keep or not. Whilst she worked she snuck looks towards the dark male as he worked, unable to repel the thought that a working man was a sight to behold. The slight stretch of muscle and the concentration upon his face made interrupting him incredibly tempting, although she managed just about to continue with her own task rather then picking up where they had just left off. Upon the completion of going through her books she rose lazily onto her feet, raising her arms over her head she stretched her muscles out, prolonging the action more then she probably needed to but she was all for giving her dark night a show. Moving into the doorway she eyed him with a smile upon dark lips, “Hows it going?” Photo courtesy of Analog Weapon, texture by SweettEmottion <style>.KMTT_GraceGRunge p {padding:0px 1px 5px 1px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .KMTT_GraceGRunge b {font-family:verdana; color:#a85f4d; margin:5px; font-size:9px; font-weight:bold; letter-spacing:1px;} .KMTT_GraceGRunge {background-color:#f5e9c5; font-family:verdana; font-size:10px; color:#000000; line-height:12px; width:500px; text-align:justify; background-image:url(http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/8329/gracetable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:321px 0px 5px 0px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d; -moz-box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d; -webkit-box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d;} .KMTT_GraceGRunge .inner {margin:0 18px; border-radius:0px; border:0px ; } .KMTT_GraceGRunge .ooc {text-align:left; font-family:verdana; color:#000000; font-size:9px; padding:1px 18px 0px 18px; border-bottom:2px dotted #000000; } p.template-credit {text-indent:0px; text-align:center; font-size:10px; font-style:italic; width:425px; text-align:center; margin:0px auto;}</style> - Niernan Stormbringer - 07-16-2012 [html] WC:: 715 - Aaand, done. (PP approved) Time had flown by as he had lost himself in the work. It hadn't taken long to get one side of the double bookshelf ready, and it had taken even less time for the other half to take shape. All he had left to do now was to nail the two sides to the central support. All the time he had been working he had been aware of the quiet sounds that came from Grace as she worked through her books; the subtle flip of turning paper, the swish of paw-pad against paper and the quiet hums that she still made as she read. These sounds and the scent of her and her house kept him happy while he worked, he still couldn't really believe that he was here, in her house, working away. He kept stealing the occasional glance at her, her dread locks falling around her face as she bowed her head to read the books she held so dear, her paws skimming softly over the pages. Golden light filtered through a window and illuminated her, gilding her fur with warm light. He paused in his actions then, forgetting about work to just gaze at her. .neicait04 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-family: verdana; font-size:9px; border-bottom:2px dotted #000000; } .neicait04 p {padding:2px 0px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .neicait04 b {color:#3f4f44; letter-spacing:-.2px; text-shadow:#090504 0px 1px 0px; } .neicait04 {background-color:#000000; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/exY3g.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:4px solid #596c5f; margin:0 auto; border-radius:20px; font-family: verdana; font-size:10px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:520px; text-align:justify;margin:0 auto; box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d; -moz-box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d; -webkit-box-shadow:2px 2px 3px #1d1d1d;} .neicait04 .inner {margin:29px 115px 15px 15px; padding:12px; background-image:url(imageurl); -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 20px; -webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 20px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 20px; -moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 20px; border-top-left-radius: 20px; border-bottom-left-radius: 20px;; border:0px solid #000000; height:335px; overflow:auto;} </style> |
