- Nala Garner - 03-22-2010
Nala, Tokyo, King and good posting order? 300+ words. As the others arrived, Nala looked at Kaena nervously, almost worried by the fact that everyone there seemed so much bigger than him. Nala had hardly any experience with fighting, but what he did have was recent. The scraps with Myrtle and Fae were seemingly good practice to the young coyote. Of course, he was nervous about this, since he'd kind of gotten his butt kicked when it had come to Fae. No one seemed to be looking at him, though, and as they all began to separate from one another, Nala crouched low, sneaking forward. He did not particularly want to be stuck fighting one of the big, scary Dahlian males, and it seemed that the woman with the puppy that had started all this was not wanting to fight. Since she was back up, Nala honed in one her, deciding she might be a good choice. With a very soft growl, the boy moved closer, tail swishing behind him. If he targetted the one that started everything, then everyone would be more proud of him than he imagined initially! Nala had told Anselm that he was quick, and it was true. He only hoped that being fast on his feet and his small size would help him now. For the second time, he faced himself against a canine standing on two legs. Like he had when Myrtle had come to Inferni, Nala tried to ignore this fact. He could not afford to marvel at the ability she posessed to stand on two legs. He did not really want to hurt her puppy, but if he could hurt the woman, then the puppy would probably run off. Maybe the woman would even run, too. That would be good for him. With a yip of a battle cry, Nala launched himself at Tokyo's legs, snapping at her ankles and the bend of her knee, hoping to knock her down and win. .nala001 b {font-weight:bold; color:#143214; letter-spacing:1px; } .nala001ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; text-align:right;} .nala001 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .nala001 {margin:0 auto; width:377px; background-color:#87726c; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... la001a.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #362e25; padding: 140px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Tokyo Chance - 03-24-2010
Annd it was looking like it was the child that was closing in on her for the attack. Wow, that was ridiculously lucky. Or was it? If it had been anyone bigger, anyone more threatening, one of the other males would probably have leaped to her defense. As it was, though, it seemed they were all distracted, all occupied by the more terrifying coyotes. Maybe this was an intentional plan of Inferni's - let the weak one go for the attack, no one would think him threatening, and then he'd kill her child! Or something. No, that was stupid. Only she knew how hopelessly inept she was at fighting. The default assumption for anyone else, for any other canine, really, was that they had some sort of motor control. She had the advantage of height, at least. The problem, of course, came with what to do with King. She couldn't do much else but kick while holding the boy, and her hesitation in the matter let the coyote whelp get in the first attack. Her reflexes were rather lacking. The little thing crashed into her leg as if he was expecting that sort of action to make her fall over or something but oh my god ow fuck shit what the fuck his teeth fucking hurt. Her ankle throbbed, and her other leg swung forward in a less-than-graceful attempt to kick the thing and dislodge it. Fuck, she needed her hands. Tokyo had backed far enough away from the main group of coyotes that King would probably be okay tucked in the grass here for a few moments.. Everyone was preoccupied now, anyway, and it wasn't like anyone could sneak up on her. If a coyote pealed off from any other battle to target her son, she would see. So she stepped back awkwardly, lowering King in her left hand and dropping him the last few inches to the ground. Murmured apologies and warnings to stay still, to be good, Mommy would pick him up again in a moment and take him somewhere safe.. In the process, she picked up a rock. This was war. She couldn't be afraid to draw some blood. To do some damage. Youth or not. They had been ready and willing, nay, eager to kill her baby boy, her precious darling, her life and blood.. How could they expect any different from her? If the easy opportunity arose, this young male was going to die. - King Chance - 03-25-2010

- Nala Garner - 03-30-2010
eeee, sorry. . . >_>; 300+ words. Unlike most willing or unwilling participants, Nala did not really have a personal stake in this war. He had no family in the area (and if he did, with the way his family had treated him, he did not think he would have cared), and he had not belonged to the clan for any length of time. The war had begun long before his arrival in the area, so he had not even been present to watch everything unfold. No, the war between the coyotes and wolves was completely foreign to him. He had never known the prejudice between the two species. The young coyote had simply come to the area at what could easily be considered a bad time, but he had been accepted, and so he had stayed. There was not much else he could have done, anyway. Nala was a follower with absolutely no concept of how to live his life on his own. Her advantage of having two legs instead of the usual four was something Nala wished she didn't have. His teeth had made contact and he had tried his hardest to knock her down by hurting her, but the swift kick that came in response caught him unawares on the side, sending him toppling backward awkwardly. Shaking himself, the coyote stood up, sputtering in annoyance as he watched her set the puppy down. For a moment, he did not know whether he should go after the puppy or the mother--obviously, both of them were targets in this big battle. Then his eyes settled on the rock she had picked up, bright eyes wide and fixated on the object. That answered his question, though. She had a rock and hands to use it with, so she needed to lose, not the puppy. Nala jumped at her again, scrambling in the air for some sort of hold with claws and teeth at her torso, so much larger than his small stature, being a normal coyote and all. .nala001 b {font-weight:bold; color:#143214; letter-spacing:1px; } .nala001ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; text-align:right;} .nala001 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .nala001 {margin:0 auto; width:377px; background-color:#87726c; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... la001a.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #362e25; padding: 140px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Tokyo Chance - 04-06-2010
It was probably a good thing that the young boy hadn't been stupid enough to go for her son. Currently, she only mostly wanted this coyote to die. But had he harmed a hair on King's body, this coyote would be dead. Even if Tokyo lost this fight, even if it took Haku to hunt him down later... Tokyo was sure that he would not last out the month. But instead, the adolescent had gone for the larger female, probably because the rock was something that commanded attention. The young thing jumped at her, claws and teeth scrabbling. The claws impacted first, scratching her just deep enough to draw blood. The force of the little thing's weight sent her stumbling backwards, making it easy enough for his snapping teeth to miss her flesh. Tokyo swung the rock at his skull, but the impact had thrown her off-balance. In reality, then, then rock swung at the little thing more at his rib-cage level, and with a little less force than she might have been able to apply otherwise. Strong enough to bruise badly if it connected, but probably not crack bone. - Nala Garner - 04-11-2010 Going to skip King because of the 2-day thing that is supposed to apply to all war threads and because the fight is between Nala and Tokyo, so it's not like the little puppy is doing much? ^^; Hopping back in for the next round is fine, I just want to get this moving because Nala's dying soon.
Nala was not as surprised this time as he felt his claws enter her and he felt her stumble backwards. It had been astonishing when it had happened during his first fight, with Myrtle, and he had even been surprised during his second fight, with Fae. Now, though, it did not bring him surprising joy, because it was not new anymore. Since his arrival in Inferni, he had become useful for his clan. He had never fought before coming here, but now it was not something he found strange or frightening. Nala only wanted to help those he cared about, and that meant helping Inferni. What did surprise him, however, was the blow to his ribs from the rock, sending him skittering sideways, making it difficult for him to remain standing on all four paws. He did it, but it was still difficult. And that had hurt! Nala growled, baring his teeth at the mother and child, before darting in again, snapping at her ankles and calves but being very wary of her feet and the possibility of being kicked again. He knew that his small stature was an advantage, in this case, as she would likely have to bend to do anything to him. .nala001 b {font-weight:bold; color:#143214; letter-spacing:1px; } .nala001ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; text-align:right;} .nala001 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .nala001 {margin:0 auto; width:377px; background-color:#87726c; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... la001a.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #362e25; padding: 140px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Tokyo Chance - 04-27-2010
~i fail~ also i pp'd a lil bit about her getting some room between them, lemme know if i should change it
Tokyo did not fully account for the way the rock would react to the impact on the young coyote. On connecting with his ribs, the rock slid out from her grip, the connection jarring it out from her grasp and falling some few feet west of King. Jumping backwards as he bit at her ankles, she managed to dodge most of the attack, but she felt some scratches form. She kicked at him twice with her right foot, not really intending to connect but simply trying to get herself a bit more room and keep him distracted. Tokyo shuffled a few steps further backwards, widening the gap, then committing a terribly stupid thing to do during a fight: she turned her back to fumble in the grass for the rock. There were plenty of stones lying around, but not many of sufficient weight to injure beyond the one that she had just let slip. So it was important to find it, right? It wasn't like that stupid little thing could do much damage to her, and she'd hear him launching another attack, and could whirl around pretty fast, and grabbing this rock would only take a second... .tokyo001 b {font-weight:bold; color:#ecd5b1; letter-spacing:1px; } .tokyo001ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#838279; text-align:right;} .tokyo001 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .tokyo001 {margin:0 auto; width:365px; background-color:#02020c; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/ ... kyo001.jpg); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #ecd5b1; padding: 0px 0px 220px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#838279; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:1px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- King Chance - 04-28-2010

- Nala Garner - 05-07-2010
It was very important to him that he not lose this battle, as it would certainly not reflect well on him if he lost. Of course, he did not know what he would do to win—he did not think he could kill either of them, and that was probably why they were here, right? Nala could not imagine actually killing someone! It was very unlikely he would ever do it if it came down to that; he simply could not, especially not the little puppy, even if the Dahlian wolves were big meanies who kept attacking Inferni. Nala backed away when she did, adding some more space between them so that he could catch his breath properly. For now, he waited, unsure of what his next move should be, his gaze flickering over to the unthreatening puppy for a very brief moment. The side of his chest hurt from where she had hit him with the rock, and he wanted to make sure he could see her fully to watch for her next move, eyes locked on her form, breath bated. .nala001 b {font-weight:bold; color:#143214; letter-spacing:1px; } .nala001ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; text-align:right;} .nala001 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .nala001 {margin:0 auto; width:377px; background-color:#87726c; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... la001a.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #362e25; padding: 140px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#362e25; line-height:12px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
OOC Ending! Rust and I agreed on this: Tokyo found another rock or stick or something, and Nala hid behind something so that he could try to surprise her. Tokyo turns around and sees he is gone, so she takes King and quickly flees. Nala jumps out to get her and sees that she is gone, so he leaves very proudly. Both think they won the fight. |
