- Eris Eternity - 05-06-2010
Goldsglen, in the Fornholdt. Set before this thread. :3 The sable-furred woman meandered through the trees, her chartreuse-colored eyes cast down to the earth. She hardly even looked around her to draw in the territory. There was something positively wonderful about this creepy old stand of trees, a tiny outcropping on the side of the mountain where the forest grew so thick she could hardly see the sun anymore. Eris wasn't quite sure if there was a god anymore—Ometeotl have mercy on her if he did exist—but she was certain there was magic in the world, and this was one of those peculiar places. Whether someone especially powerful had died here or spirits just lingered about, the air was thick with it. She could almost smell it beneath the explosion of spring pollen in the air. Eris's chartreuse gaze meandered about the forest, searching for a particular sort of plant. She was used to the foilage of the desert and the thin forests surrounding it—these deciduous and coniferous trees were a mystery to her. Most of what she knew was suited for far warmer climates. Her shadow-furred fingers reached out to brush against the leaves, seeking one sort of plant in particular. Zacatapayoli required thorns, and she had yet to find any thorned bushes. Maybe Kaena would tell her who her father was if she was more pure—the sable-furred Lykoi did not know whether or not her mother subscribed to any religion at all. It was not the Atotoztli's place to save anyone else's soul, however, and even if Eris had been devout anymore, she would not have attempted to convert the scarred woman. <style> .kae-akumu p {padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:40px; } .kae-akumu b {color: #E69E35;} .kae-akumu { width: 400px; border: 1px solid black; background-color: #1F0A03; font: 11px/16px verdana; text-align: justify; color: #C17121; } </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-06-2010
She was told to leave the cave and she did not ask questions and she turned and left as quickly as she could. There were no other words shared and she just disappeared from the entrance, her mind unaware of where to go but her feet took her to the garden she worked so had on. She stopped and glanced over the dry dirty with a frown, her brows raising, unable to focus on it and instead on what had been bothering Kaena. The scents she gathered were not out of the ordinary but there was one she assumed she gathered while on the borders. The familiarity of it did not bother her and she was unable to focus on the scent for too much longer.
Vieira left the garden with no real purpose but headed toward the mansion, having remembered Kaena mentioned the greenhouse up that way. It had been suggested she use that for the herbs but Vieira chose otherwise. Being near the mansion ran a risk of seeing the other coyotes and her hermit nature told her otherwise. Close to the cave was safe for her but she needed to go up there to find a
Locating a bucket was not hard, there was several on the outside of the greenhouse but what made her move so fast were the voices she heard nearby. She was not a sneak, or a thief, but when Kaena was upset she felt a little flustered and she lacked any social skills to begin with. Adding the awkward and upset nature was not the best. She shimmied a bucket from its pile and disappeared before the forms emerged and she was quickly out of there just as fast as she came. But the direction she moved was not the one back to her garden and instead farther north than she intended, one she did not realize until the time it would have taken to get back was well surpassed.
Vieira did not worry about her location even if she was not sure where she was but it gave her a chance to find a water source for the entire purpose of the bucket in hand and some time away from Kaena. But her mind was not worry free for long when the scent she smelled on Kaena was not some stranger but one she knew very well and one that bothered her still to this day in her thoughts, dreams, and every day work. It was not as troublesome as Astaroth of Sivaro but nonetheless plaguing. And why she had never thought to see that particular coyote again was suddenly unknown to her. She lived in a place that was Eris' family, owned by her very own mother, and she felt stupid for believing she would never see them again until she angered Kaena enough to be sent away.
She swallowed hard, her fingers locked in a death grip on the handle of the bucket as she lingered in the trees, the scent stronger than she liked. Her feet were planted and her stomach was nauseous, but none of her thoughts worked to get her legs moving and she was stuck in place in the same area as her former owner. - Eris Eternity - 05-06-2010
392 Vieira. The sable-furred woman knew that scent well—it had permeated her former home, hanging up with the rest of them. Eternians weren't generally prolific slave owners, but Eris had taken to it—they were her canines, ones that she could simply trade for, and no one could say anything about how she treated them. Slaves were a possession, no more alive and no more canine than the rocks beneath her feet. It didn't even cross Eris's mind that Vieira had been freed—Kaena wouldn't know such a ritualistic procedure. She didn't know the symbolism behind that piercing that was no doubt still embedded into the tawny canine's face. Almost instinctively Eris's sable hand brushed against her nose, touching the empty space where she had worn a similar piercing. One couldn't tell by looking, of course. The small canine's scent saturated the air, and Eris paused, lifting one of her dark-colored lips. She had tired of the smaller canine quite a long time ago, and she did not think time would have changed their relationship any. But how had she survived? Lazy curiosity overtook Eris, the same sort that overtook a predator presented with an opportunity in stumbling a weak prey. Even when fully sated, a good hunter invariably at least investigated the opportunity. The sable-furred girl had not had the chance to hold herself over another canine in quite a long while, and though she was certain she looked like shit, she preened the fur of her mane and shook her head to puff it out, strolling toward the source of the scent. “So you made it,” she said when she had drawn close enough. Eris strolled right up to the petrified canine, drawing around her in a circle, her sable-furred muzzle close to the woman's shoulders and the back of her neck as she passed around the rear of the other canine. Vieira did not deserve personal space; regardless of whether or not Eris was the woman's owner anymore, it was clear to Eris the tawny-furred canine hadn't been released. “And still wearing your pretties, too,” the hybrid said, reaching out a shadowed hand for the shiny piece of jewelry in the other canine's nose. Her own was a secret, still, and so it would remain—neither Vieira nor anyone else needed to know what had gone on in Eterne. <style> .kae-akumu p {padding:0px 10px 10px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:40px; } .kae-akumu b {color: #E69E35;} .kae-akumu { width: 400px; border: 1px solid black; background-color: #1F0A03; font: 11px/16px verdana; text-align: justify; color: #C17121; } </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-06-2010
Her eyes closed when her nose was touched, the brushing of the ring in her nose that pulled only slightly. Her jaw tightened and her hands dropped to her side, the grip loosening on the bucket which fell from her grip and hit the ground, rolling on it's side a few feet away. "Yes, ma'am," she breathed, her ears flattening against her skull as she tried to lower her nose out of submission but was unable to go far with the touch. She did not want to anger Eris for drawing away. Her mind was racing with questions and worries that Kaena had gotten tired and bored of her, that she had sent for this woman. Or this woman came back for her but none of it she understood. Vieira was driven to be good so she did not have to return to a mean hand of a woman or any other canine for that matter but all her worry that had once been sent away was flooding her mind, blinding her from anything else. - Eris Eternity - 05-06-2010
A look of complete disgust rolled over the sable-furred woman's face, and she peered at Vieira through now-slitted chartreuse eyes, still uncomfortably and unbearably close. At the woman's words, the coyote hybrid snorted and tilted her head backwards, rolling her brilliant lime-colored gaze skyward in a completely exaggerrated expression of disgust. “God, you're boring,” the woman said, crossing her arms across her chest. Eris was far better at interacting with Vieira than Kaena—she had plenty of practice, after all. The sable-hued coyote's face was permanently affixed into a sneer around Vieira; it had been for the last several weeks they'd lived together in Eterne, and the Tirones had grown no fonder of the slave-girl since. But her usefulness may have increased slightly—Vieira was closer to Kaena than Eris, for sure. “You know, we're not half-sisters,” the sable woman stated. Of course, there was no disappointment in the hybrid's voice. Why should she care if Vieira was her sister? “Astaroth isn't my father,” she added, relishing the dead man's name. More than anything, Eris liked seeing the smaller canine twitch and fret with he was mentioned. - Vieira Lykoi - 05-06-2010
She remained silent, her eyes closing again. Astaroth's laughter was in her mind now. Stupid whore. She cringed suddenly, his voice clear as day as he spoke to her and she lost her breath for a moment, holding it tight in her chest. Her words were gone, she had no right to speak, and silence held on to her in the meantime. - Eris Eternity - 05-06-2010
The sable-furred hybrid's chartreuse-colored eyes remained focused on the tawny-colored canine, dancing yellow flames licking through the woman's green irises. She saw the tightness in the younger woman's features, the rigidity that had overtaken her body. This was the fun in Vieira—Eris had nothing to fear. For one thing, the sable-furred woman was physically larger. For another, Vieira would never dare. “I think Daddy misses you,” she said, calling Astaroth what she'd always called him. The sable coyote had lowered her voice to almost a whisper. “Did Kaena tell you anything about who my Daddy really is?” she asked, straightening up, returning the aloof and condescending canine she had been moments before. - Eris Eternity - 05-06-2010
317! The coyote hybrid watched as Vieira squirmed, her brilliant chartreuse eyes growing bright with flame as she watched the other canine squirm. Eris had been quite fond of Asta, really—he had never lifted his hand in malice to her, nor subjected her to anything like what he'd put his very daughter through. He had been the reason for her good upbringing in Eterne—without claim to him, she would have died in the open wilderness, for sure. At the pale furred canine's response, Eris drew back again, growling softly in disgust. “Still useless, too,” she exclaimed, her arms still crossed tightly over her chest. Now she flung them down to her sides and balled her fists. The answer was right here in front of her, but she could no more grasp at it than when she had been thousands of miles away. She was no closer to finding the truth now than when she had first trudged through the desert, alone for only the second time in her life. No matter how hard she tried, the blood and the bones showed her nothing. There were limitations to the magic, she had known, but she had tried nonetheless—countless birds and squirrels lined the trail behind her all the way to Eterne from the numerous fruitless attempts the sable Tirones had made at seeing her own past. Frustration boiled in her, and her yellow-green eyes narrowed. “You're not even supposed to be here, you know,” she said sharply. “I sent you here chasing what I thought was a ghost,” the sable-furred hybrid said. Kaena was supposed to have been dead, and Vieira was supposed to have died on her way here. “How'd you even make it all the way up here?” she asked, tilting her head to the side. She was curious—Vieira didn't have Itzcitla or anything like him to give her sustenance on the trip. .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-06-2010
Vieira had to put faith in her owners even if she did not want to and when Eris crushed the faith before she left. She was sent out in the wild, after a ghost, to die. Her ears twitched upon her head as she remained still. She had faced death several times, had called out to it for safety, but it had never been granted. While her life in Inferni was padded with much more than Eterne, in this moment she wished she would have lost her life in those times before. "I—" she said, finding it hard to speak now. "I don't know... I just..." she said, choking on her words. Had this been any other woman she might have turned tail and run but it was Eris and she could not, as if she had planted concrete in the space she landed and could no longer move. "I did not stop if I did not have to. I just... got here," she tried to explain. She didn't really have any answer aside from the obvious I walked here.
She had survived the last three years of her life under harsh conditions that a three month travel alone had been heaven. - Eris Eternity - 05-07-2010
Oahsdfhdfhdfhd! The sable-furred woman seemed to feed on the other canine's fear, growing more fiesty and bolder with each further indication of nervousness and fear from the tawny canine. The dark-hued canine's chartreuse eyes were absolutely fixed on the other canine, watching the tremble of her lower lip beneath the glitter of the ring embedded into her nose. “I just got here,” she repeated, her voice acquiring a higher pitch, the distinctive tone of mockery dripping from the sable-furred canine's every word. “Are you gonna cry?” she asked, her voice still with that same mockery to it, though now there was a tone of near excitement. One of her fingers reached out to jab at the other canine's shoulder, the claw fully extended. There was no need to be careful where Viei was concerned. She had made Viei cry before, of course—there was a twisted enjoyment the sable-furred woman derived from the other woman's pain, of course. There was no softness in Eris for Vieira—not even when they were “related.” Now that there was no Kimaris blood between them, the sable-furred woman was even less inclined to be good to the Quintus. .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-07-2010
"N-no, ma'am," she murmured in a weak voice. Vieira was doing her best to keep the tears at bay, to keep the weakness at bay with what little strength she developed but it was overwhelming. She did not want to cry in front of Eris. She wanted to run away and hide and cry on her own time instead, she wanted to believe this woman could do nothing to her because Vieira did not belong to her and even if it were the case the agouti coyote was not able to hold her back and stop her. Eris was Kaena's daughter had full rights, even if she were not owned before. Questions bubbled in her head that she kept back, focusing her eyes on the ground waiting for something.
Anything. - Eris Eternity - 05-07-2010
dsd;lfsldflsdf Maybe there was something almost instinctive in the sable-furred hybrid's taunts. When she had arrived in Eterne, she was catapulted to the top. By the time she had left, she was already lower than the bottom—one might think with her own experiences with slavery now, Eris might be more kindly to Vieira. After all, the shade-hued woman had also experienced pain and suffering while locked into a heavy chain. The woman's quaking words drew the blazing chartreuse eyes of the woman wide, and the sneer on her face shifted to a snarl, gleaming white canines contrasted against the sable of her lips and fur. She leaned in close again, placing those dangerous teeth close to Vieira's face. Eris had hurt the other canine before; it was perfectly within her to hurt Viei again. “Don't lie to me.” The words were dangerous, the voice speaking them lowered to barely a hiss. “I thought you knew better than that, Vieira.” .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-07-2010
The hot breath on her face made her eyes close tightly, shaking her head only slightly in response. She held it in still but she could feel the walls being penetrated with every move Eris had. If she could hold them long enough, she would not break that barrier, she would not cry, but Vieira did not have hope in her own actions. - Eris Eternity - 05-07-2010
-- The haughty sable-furred canine watched, her eyes focused in on the other canine with all the intensity of a beam of light traveling through a magnifying glass, waiting for the tears. The moments stretched and she remained right where she was, trying to sear through the other canine with eyes alone. Maybe she couldn't really hurt Vieira anymore. By the laws of Eterne... well, Eris had no fucking clue whose possession Vieira really was. Eris had given the tawny-furred woman up, true, but there hadn't been any official transfer of ownership—was Vieira Kaena's possession or Eris's? The sable-furred woman did not know, and truth be told, she was still bored with the other canine. But there was something subtly different here. There should have been tears already; Vieira should have been quaking and trembling. “What's this sudden spine we've grown?” she asked, drawing her hand to the other canine's chin, jerking her head back to look forward again, leveling her chartreuse eyes with Vieira's. Their noses almost touched; Eris could have reached out and licked the other woman's piercing with just the tip of her tongue. .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-07-2010
- Eris Eternity - 05-07-2010
-- The sable-furred woman was surprised to see that Vieira had matured any. She had never had a childhood, she had never had a life. Unlike Eris, there was no desire to escape the life she'd been handed. Well, maybe that wasn't entirely true—maybe Vieira did want to escape her bonds, but even so, true determination did not exist within her. She was a hollow shell of a canine, in Eris's eyes, simple possession and nothing more—and as the tears began to flow, the sable-furred canine drew back, releasing the other canine's muzzle and flicking her hand downward, rubbing those same fingers along her own thigh as if the simple act of being in physical contact with Vieira was dirtying. “That's more like it, little girl,” Eris said, laughing to herself over the other canine's tears. Vieira was the only one here Eris was even capable of this sort of condescension to—there was nothing the sable-furred Tirones could hold over anyone else at this very moment. These Infernians did not yet see, and she did not yet trust them enough to show them. She could play useless all day. Even so, it was cathartic for the shadow-dusted Lykoi to see those tears flowing from the other canine's face. She had been held beneath the Kimaris family for those many long months, forced into things she could hardly stand to remember. .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-07-2010
The satisfaction Eris had caused Vieira's own ears to burn in humiliation that she had caved, that she had cried when she did not want to. Her jaw was still taught and there was a bitter taste in her throat, but the tears continued to slide down her cheek. They were not frantic but a slow and steady flow that dampened her face. Her nose dropped again, pointing to the ground where her eyes laid in order to hide the shame in her face. - Eris Eternity - 05-07-2010
-- Maybe there was fun yet to be had in Vieira. She was boring and useless because she had no spine, she had nothing to offer Eris anymore. Sure, it was wonderful to have a slave around to clean up and all of that, but all the fun was in breaking them. Eris had usually preferred once-free men made into slaves—they were always indignant, they were always horrified at their fate, they always fought and clawed to regain what they had lost, but in the end it came to nothing anyway, and eventually they learned this. Then they were no longer fun, and they were to be discarded. Vieira was different, though—Vieira had been inherited like any other possession, and Eris had kept her around for that reason alone. Maybe there was a little bit of sisterly affection at first, but it had waned as Eris's interest in the other canine had. “Why would you lie to me, Vieira? You said you weren't going to cry,” the sable-furred canine asked, tilting her head to the side. Her hands were at her hips now, projecting sternness. Eris wasn't much taller than the other canine, but she had a good few inches on her, which was rare for the sable-furred woman. .eris-mask-ooc {font-style:italic; } .eris-mask p {padding:0px 7px 5px 7px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .eris-mask b {color:#4A4554;} .eris-mask {background-color:#FFFFFF; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/tbd/eris/ipb/eristable.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 180px 0px; border:1px solid #BCABBD; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8C8C8C; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:13px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .eris-mask-border {width:402px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .eris-mask-separator{width:350px; border-bottom:1px dotted #4A4554; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Vieira Lykoi - 05-07-2010
"I'm sorry," she cried apologetically as if she had done something terrible, as if she had broken Eris' favorite object or failed to do something important. Her fingers balled up into her hand as she tried to stop herself, knowing better than use her hands to wipe the tears away. Her jaw parted to speak again, to beg for forgiveness, but her words had disappeared with all the spirit she had built in the last few months and resorted back to the pitiful girl she had been on the border of Inferni some time ago. |
