The smell of the wild flowers on the breeze was enough to drive any young wolf out into the open. She had tamed her wild red curls in a braid that ended abundantly above her tail and slipped on a silk dress she had found in a chest in the stables. During the process, not one smile kissed the maw of the female, her face a thick wall of woe. Her frame was still underweight and her head pounded with the loss of sleep she had experienced. .water-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#e4aab0; letter-spacing:1px; } .water-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .water-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .water-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:372px; background-color:#3a4538; background-image:url(http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8206/souls43.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #000000; padding: 10px 0px 280px 0px; font-family: cambria, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#cfc5ac; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Talitha de le Poer - 09-01-2010
5+ There was always something to find in Halifax, always. Anyone could spend an entire day and a half rummaging through the waste and artifacts that human civilization left behind. There was always one thing or another to pick up when visiting Halifax, even if it was a pair of nail clippers or maybe even a plunger, things that would seem useless to Luperci but might come in need in the future (who knew what to do with a plunger, it could be a brilliant interrogative tool when you threaten to plunge someone's eyes out of their head if they didn't tell the truth, or something like that). There was always something interesting to find in Halifax. Upon Talitha's recent return to her home territory, you would think she would at least spend a couple week's time behind the skull lined borders of the coyote and hybrid lands. As soon as she had the opportunity, there she would go, bailing out again on her father and Inferni like she never returned. Not looking to run away again, her journey's purpose was to not only find some random junk at Halifax, but also there was a recent promotion in rank achieved. Praeses was what it was, and it was the equivalent to Inferni's scout and spy responsibilities. Her promotion was sudden and small, but Talitha was proud of her achievement nonetheless. It had only been several weeks, and already she was rising in the ranks, obtaining new responsibilities to herself. More than anything she wanted for Gabriel to be proud of his daughter for her successions, for she felt like she disappointed him on numerous accounts. It was time to make her name known, and it was time for once to start doing something productive and responsible. After her long journey back and forth between the outside and Inferni, Talitha was quite sick of traveling at best, but her promotion required her to scout for the benefit of Inferni, and scouting she would then do for the sake of responsibility. After collecting random objects to store in a shoulder pack, there was something that pushed Talitha more East in exploration. Whether it was she could scent the clean air along the breeze or her wanderlust had not tired her yet even after her return, there was a curious and delightful smell of wildflowers at some point that drew her into a land with rolling, gentle hills. Everything about this place contrasted greatly from the North and the West, and everything here seem to be untainted by human and luperci civilization. Peaceful, tranquil, something you would assume could only be achieved in a day dream. Her stroll was casual and her hair flitting back to be tousled in the pleasant breeze, until in the distance there was a luperci and a very large specimen of wild horse trotting along next to it that made her stop. She was more amazed by the horse than the woman herself, but couldn't help to notice there was something sluggish about the woman, maybe even vaguely wounded. Who knew for certain. The edges of her flowing, lilac hued like dress flitted in the most gentle wisps of the breeze, giving her an almost very country-ish looking appearance.
Deciding whether or not to pass up this opportunity to be social, Talitha vowed to hell with it and decided to stride over to the two. Her tall and graceful legs carried her with swift grace over to them, with one hand digging around in her brown shoulder pack which would reveal a silver flask with some drink leftover. Even though alcohol was a precious artifact when one was at low stock, at least Talitha held some sense of empathy within in order to share some to those who looked like they would need a shot or two. Stopping at a comfortable distance (for it was clear this woman was wolf, and generally wolves made Talitha uneasy and apprehensive to be around), Talitha could now catch the dull gleam in her eyes, and willingly lifted her flask to her. Wolf or not, why the hell not? "Here, take a swag, you look like you need one. Try not to touch your lips to the rim, or backwash." Talitha said rather bluntly, hinting at distaste from contracting wolf cooties, but this was the nicest that any wolf would be able to experience Talitha as. There was no questioning to come from Talitha as to why the woman looked so dull and perturbed, but Talitha felt like her alcohol was some sort of secret weapon of an elixir, temporarily curing one's ailments for the time being. Plus, she figured it would be nice to work on her giving skills. - Ever Mayawyn - 09-01-2010
408 ======================================================
Her paw steps were becoming easier to drag as the fresh scents wavered in the air and the grass brushed across her ankles. Occasionally the girl tripped, her hand flying to her stallion’s neck, but other than those flits with danger, Ever was well enough to be out again. After she had smelt the herb, her colorless irises searched the rolling hills for a bush with shimmering leaves. Clouds had lazily crossed the round orb of light in the sky, concealing a few rays of sun and casting stubby shadows along the ground. .water-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#e4aab0; letter-spacing:1px; } .water-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .water-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .water-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:372px; background-color:#3a4538; background-image:url(http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8206/souls43.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #000000; padding: 10px 0px 280px 0px; font-family: cambria, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#cfc5ac; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Talitha de le Poer - 09-01-2010
Rejecting the offer to sip down the contents in the silvery flask, Talitha still held it out for a second before drawing it back into her possession, shrugging her shoulders lightly. "Suit yourself." All the more for myself anyways. The hybrid said, raising the flask to her lips in order to take the swags that the red-head turned down. The alcohol (preferably strong whiskey scavenged in Halifax) scorched the back of her throat, as she swallowed it with a heavy gulp and a shake of her head. Licking her lips thereafter, it was like a caldron of lava was poured down her esophagus, searing the entire way down until it all hit rock bottom in her stomach. The way that the woman turned down her flask, now that Talitha thought about it, something about her tone was too proper. She recounted how she presented the flask in the first place to her, and would have thought a much more sarcastic or annoyed response would have been given, but it sounded like the rejecting was very well placed, despite how problematic she looked still.
Her crimson eyes then transfixed to the horse behind her, which it was comfortable with the red-headed woman leaning against. Talitha would never begin to understand such a relationship shared, for she always looked at anything that had hooves to it as a ticket for the day's lunch. Sloshing the liquor around in her flask some, her head tilted to the side, her eyes narrowing and observing the stallion for what it was a little more. The relationship shared between equine and luperci was fascinating, but at the same time... a little disturbing, and very weird. "How do you even manage to keep that thing around you?" Talitha questioned, straightening her head back upright. And how can it ever stand being around a wolf of all things? Have wolves lost their instincts of predator and prey? Apparently Talitha never really caught on to the whole using horses as means for transportation, companions, or whatever else they could be useful for to luperci. - Ever Mayawyn - 09-01-2010
331 ======================================================
A mix of emotions rushed through the intoxicated female in an instant, the silver girl taking all of them in. The skill was coming in handy now a days when she chose to talk less and listen more. Confusion was fluent in her converser’s face, which Ever could understand clearly. Recently, her responses brought astray thoughts and actions, especially now when her haggard look seemed to attract others like fresh prey. .water-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#e4aab0; letter-spacing:1px; } .water-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .water-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .water-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:372px; background-color:#3a4538; background-image:url(http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8206/souls43.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:3px double #000000; padding: 10px 0px 280px 0px; font-family: cambria, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#cfc5ac; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Talitha de le Poer - 09-05-2010
- Ever Mayawyn - 10-07-2010
I am so terribly sorry about the delay. Slowness is apparent from now on. Again so sorry! “I call him Saphraine.” Ever said, without looking at the hybrid. Her other hand was clenched in the fabric of her dress and by now she was sure one of her claws had made a hole in it. The outline of a horse in the distance reminded the girl of an angel. There was a loneliness inside her and the presence of the wild stallion caught her all to fragile heart on fire. So when the evening sun traced his frame, Ever laid her other hand onto his back. She was in love so many times over again but not even the male could break the special bond the silver female had with her horse. But if there was a look that could disturb her as deeply as the one Ezra had given her, it was the one the dark women shot in their direction. The breeze had lifted her hair and tugged on what little clothes she had on, rippling her fur underneath the fabric and giving her a slight wicked appearance. Crimson eyes as red as a pond filled with blood were directed almost through her and pierced the soft belly of the golden stallion. Ever wished she could wash the look clean off her face. It made her stomach stir. Claws raking as gentle as possible over the back of her horse, Ever turned back around, keeping one black paw entwined in waves of white water. .everglass b {font-weight:bold; color:#768FB6; letter-spacing:.0px; } .everglass-ooc { font-style:italic; padding:15px; font-family:georgia, normal; font-size:10px; color:#9251A2; text-align:right; } .everglass p {text-indent:30px; padding:5px 8px; margin:0px;} .everglass {margin:0 auto; width:400px; background-color:#F6CBE5; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/ ... flower.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #077E9C; padding: 200px 0px 10px 0px; font-family: verdana, serif; font-size:11px; color:#AF80A5; line-height:13px; letter-spacing:.0px; text-align:justify;} </style>
|
