He had spent most of his morning run searching the outskirts of Dahlia de Mai, slowing circling inward till he could clearly deduce that Gideon was nowhere but in the house they shared with Conor, Bris and Ascher. And apparently, two other puppies that Saul had previously not known about- Melee and Range Soul. Saul was unsure of what to think on these two- they were biologically related to Conor but Gideon had adopted them as his children, despite being only five or so months older than them. Still, Saul was beginning to feel rather pushed out and left out where his younger brother was concerned. He had only seen glimpses of Ascher since their reunion in Flanders Field two weeks ago and the young Stormbringer was beginning to feel deprived of his family. He wished Shiloh would come home.He had arisen at the same time this morning as he did every other morning- just as the sun rose over the horizon. Saul had always been an early waker, a lark instead of an owl. He had made his way sleepily down to the river and bathed, as he did every morning. When he'd clambered out, his tawny pelt stuck to his already skinny frame, once more accentuating his lack of fat or muscle in anywhere on his body. Although he was well into his third week back into Dahlia, there was still a lack of muscle to his frame. He looked just a little better than when he had arrived- his coat had gotten a little bit of its shine back to it and his gums were beginning to stain pink instead of deathly white. His assumed anorexia was not of his doing- two months wandering on his own with no hunting skills had reduced him to just a pile of bones and skin, it would take more than two weeks for him to return to his normal size. He had made his run quick today, to the shore and back. He had paused when his paws sunk into the sandy beach, green eyes shimmering as he gazed out at the small island that was within swimming distance. He wanted to take his brothers there for a picnic when they had all reached the ability to shift. For some reason, he felt very averse to having his adopted niece and nephew come along- he wanted it only to be the three of them. He had spent a few moments gazing out at the island before turning round and heading for home. There had been a new scent in the house for a few nights and Saul wondered who it belonged to. He had already found his brothers dirty little secret. He wondered, briefly, if Ascher had adopted a pet cat or something equally ridiculous. Most of his resentment to the Soul siblings had to do with the fact that Gideon was becoming more independent. Saul slowed as he came into Wolfville, green eyes gazing down the long stretch of road that dominated the town. On either side of the road, shops littered the veiw. He knew from his exploring that there was a school here and a hospital of sorts. It had sparked into Saul the desire he had had for a while now- he wanted to help people. As he came to a stop in the center of the town, he sat down and gazed around. He needed to lighten up a bit, that was for sure! word count;; 591 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-20-2010
ooc here! Mia Tuk opened her eyes to a generous sun. If the day before her situation had seemed out of hand, today found her at the start of a new life. She yawned, still slightly sleepy. It seemed that the long hours of slumber obstinately hung onto her grayish-pelted body. Her stomach was fairly full from the day before, so she didn't quite feel the need to go looking for breakfast right away. It was more like she felt the urge to explore. After all, she was on a new territory, having a new title: not that of a loner pup, anymore, but that of a pack member. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-20-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 Green eyes shimmered softly in the morning haze. He had been out on his run for about two hours and in that time, the october sun had risen. The mornings were freezingly cold, moist air making it harder to breath. But as the sun came up, it chased away the cold and baked the ground dry. This in between period of autumn was a funny one, Saul's first in his life. It seemed as though the weather didnt know what it wanted- the nights a early mornings were so cold they hurt, but the summer sun still had her foot in the doorway and decided she would warm the earth for at least half the day before prince autmn stamped his foot in the evenings. So despite his early morning bath which had left him cold, the sun had risen now and it warmed the fur on his back. It was delicious. The childish yap of a puppy warned Saul that she was coming well before she was aware that he was there. Saul twisted around, watching the grey-tan puppy chasing a mouse his way. She was so absorbed in her task that as she grew closer, she didnt notice him. She just clipped his front paw before pulling up short and allowing her prey to get away. A sick feeling stirred in his stomach. When he had lived on his own for two months, any food was necessary. But he forced it away, telling himself firmly that she was just a child and a child that would be provided for. A warm smile spread over his muzzle as she spoke, her soft voice adorable. "Don't worry sweetie, we'll find another one..." He cooed softly, tempted to stroke her head with his paw. Since seeing his brother with his new adopted children, Saul had a flash of paternal longing every now and then. This pup was young, perhaps only two months old. She needed looking after. A smile graced the tawny and cream coloured male as he lowered himself to her level, laying on the warming floor. Keen green eyes glanced around, disappointed when he couldnt see another mouse. But that didnt mean he had to tell her that. It seemed, as of late, Saul had turned into something of a compulsive lier. Cocking his head softly to the side, he made a soft shh noise. "You have to be real quiet, else they wont come out!" He whispered dramatically for effect. He enjoyed this part of being a pack member. How they could all fit together seamlessly. He didnt even have to know her name and he was playing along, humouring her and playing her games. She was a cute puppy and Saul chuckled softly as he waited for her to crouch and listen as he intended for her to do. word count;; 472 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-20-2010
ooc here! "They don't?" She asked out loud, but felt like biting her tongue the very moment she heard her voice raise above the stillness of the morning air. Closing her eyes for just a second, she struggled to listen, making sure that there had been no mouse she could've possibly scare away with her foolish question. Although she felt a little insecure about the waiting-on-the-prey part the male proposed, seeing him getting into position and acting all serious about it, forced the pup to remain silent. For the next few seconds at the very least. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-20-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 Saul almost laughed at the young females response, her absolute blind belief in something an older person would say. But who wouldnt? When he was younger, he believed everything his father told him. But his father had never lied to him, there was no reason for him to. Despite the fact that Saul knew this young pups yaps and scrambles would have chased every mouse within a mile radius would have scarpered, he did not feel the need to tell her this. He wasnt being cruel, he was playing along. Perhaps they could go on a little mock hunt and Saul could teach her a few tricks. In fact, Saul needed to learn to hunt himself. He was almost there, but his techinique needed a little refining. However, remembering her awed words, Saul felt his head shake and a cheeky smile flicker over his lips.Words of wisdom came from the young female and Saul couldnt help the softer chuckle that escaped him this time. It was odd, those words coming from that young mind. They didnt fit with her age- she should have been stuttering, with a lisp or mispronounciation of words. He shook his head softly, before once again deciding to humour her. He shuffled forward, green eyes narrowing as if to fully search the shops ahead of them. This was the only road and there were little to no sidestreets that they could run down. They would have to search the shops, and that could be fun. Still, he had to answer her. "I think you might be right darlin'. That damned mouse..." His voice had lowered to a soft gravely growl. He took one last, pointless look around the shop fronts from his laying position before he heard her speaking again. What she did say was rather odd. She told him that she hadnt seen him yesterday, and then asked why she hadnt seem him. It was an odd sort of question, considering the fact that one might ask this of another than they already knew. But this was the first time he had met the young pup, so there was very little reason for her to have seen him yesterday. Still, he allowed his shoulders to roll in a shrug before answering her once more. "Now that depends on what time of day you came into the house. If it were early morning, I was out on my run. If it was the afternoon, I have no idea why I didnt see you." He answered truthfully. Yesterday, he had performed his usual routine in the early morning, then spent the rest of the morning practising his hunting. He had retreated to his room, allowing his mind to take over and work him hard. He had thought a lot yesterday afternoon and had not heard Conor bringing back their newest member. It seemed that all the stray pups ended up staying in the Victorian house with Conor and Bris- Saul, Gideon, Ascher, this young one, Melee, Range. The list stopped there, but that was still quite a lot. Saul glanced upward at the young pup sat up and started speaking, before correcting herself. He grinned, before inclining his head in a gentlemanly manner. "Of course you may. My name is Saul Stormbringer. May I ask yours?" word count;; 550 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-20-2010
ooc here! She still wanted the furry creatures to scramble from their hiding place when she heard him speak. She giggled, she never would have expected him to say that about a mouse. But it still did mess with their little hunting party. She scoffed. "Annoying." She mumbled, but then the explanation she had unwillingly asked for came. She felt a little embarrassed while he spoke since she knew she shouldn't have asked something like that. It was barely her first day and she was already questioning the members of the pack. "It was morning." She said simply with a nod. "I guess that... explains it." She went on after a pause. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-21-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 Saul waited patiently for the little puppy to speak. She was obviously very bubbly and bright. She had a certain amount of attitude that was healthy for her age, but she also knew to respct her elders, as he techinically was. She was a pretty little puppy and he had no doubt she would grow into a beautiful young woman. A little too young for him perhaps, but maybe Gideon's boy Range would take a fancy to her. A soft smile came to his lips at the thought of Range taking a fancy to this bubbly ball of grey fur. He seemed to be the quieter of the two, Melee was the leader by far. However, his attention was drawn back to the female at hand and Saul smiled down at her. He seemed to be doing that a lot recently- smiling."Well, I am truely sorry that I wasnt in to see you yesterday! I hope you and Conor had a nice meeting." Of course, Saul could not be sure that it was Conor that had greeted and accepted her, but he couldnt detect any hints of his aunt on her fur and therefore that lead him to suspect the autumn coloured leader had been the one to find her. She seemed to weigh him up, gauging whether or not it would be a good idea to reveal her name. It mattered very little if she told him or not- he would find out who she was sooner or later anyway. However, she seemed to think he was a nice guy as she yapped her name at him. Mia Tuk. An interesting name. It was sharp and snappy, a very easy name to remember. His smile prevailed as he watched her think once more. She spoke again, once more in that weird way of hers. Like they'd arranged to meet the day before and he'd missed it. Or perhaps like he had let her down on the expectation of meeting him. "Its nice to meet you Mia. I am very happy you caught me today- although right now, I just came back from my morning run. So you may well have missed me once again. That mouse must have wanted us to meet." He offered good naturedly, his tail thumping softly behind him. He had turned seven months a few days ago and it appeared his body had decided he was ready for a growing tail. The base of his tail had bulked out, promising a flourishing plume by the end of the month. He was excited about this- for so long his tail had been thin and weedy. Now he would have an adult tail and he could thwack people with it all he wanted. A mischevious grin raced over his muzzle as he glanced around then back to Mia. "Want to play a game of hide and go seek, Mia?" He offered, eyeing out all the potential shops she could hide in. Perhaps they could have a little explore around as well. He turned his green gaze back to her, excited at the prospect of playing. Afterall, he was still a pup. Albeit a rather large, teenaged pup. word count;; 531 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-21-2010
ooc here! Mia was wondering what he could be thinking about until she finally got an answer. Her tail wiggled as Saul mentioned her encounter with Conor. "Yes, we did! He's indeed very nice! Just like you!" She spoke rapidly, the words coming out in a cascade. She had this gift, of speaking in hard-to-follow manners that some found rather amusing. She listened to him talk about the mouse again, but this time he didn't seem to be revolted anymore that the mouse had gotten away. And through his good-natured words, she also forgot all about her own frustration. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-21-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 This pup was so excitable and bubbly it really was rather comic. It felt like this little puppy was full to the brim with energy and soon enough, she would blow sky-high and float in the clouds for a while. His question about her meeting with Conor the day before was met with smile's and the swinging wag of her tail. Words gushed from her mouth in a rapid torrent and Saul gave her a little chuckle of encouragement. He wished he had hands so he could scruffle her head- she was so adorable. He smiled down at her instead, his own tufty tail wagging in response.“Why thank you, Mia. You're very nice too!” Once again, the astounding energy this puppy exuded reminded him of himself and Gideon when they were younger. As she spoke in response to his comment about the mouse, Saul stood up and shook his coat out with a vigorous flick. It held very little dirt since his bath in the early hours of this morning. Glancing quickly upward, Saul noticed the sun had risen steadily in the sky. It now hung at the midday mark. They would play for a while and he would take her back home- she was likely to need a sleep. She was so young that she would need a sleep soon. “Me too” She was on her paws in a moment, bouncing around him and making him feel dizzy. She was only five months younger than him but right then he felt very old. Still, he laughed as she agreed, twisting in a tight circle to try and keep up with her. Her mouth was working a mile a minute to get out all she wanted to say and Saul couldn't help the roar of laughter than arose. He shook his head softly, large cream paw batting playfully at the girls side. “Of course we can Mia. But I don't think I have any chores... Conor never said I had anything to actually do. So games!” He yapped excitedly, feeling her energy flowing through into him. He dropped down into a play position, green eyes fixing on her own. “One... Two... Three” word count;; 363 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-21-2010
ooc here! He doesn't have chores? She thought, disconcerted. Wow! And come to think of it, she had expected the stories she had heard to be completely true. Of course, there were certain things that demanded a special care in a pack, but still, she should've known better than assume knowing details she actually had no clue about. At times even she thought she needed to step out of her very own imaginary world into the real one. There were so many differences between the two that she feared she would never get to understand them. However, she had no time to give that much thought since Saul attracted her attention with yet another irresistible distraction. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-22-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 "Four... Five... Six... Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten"He counted slowly, closing his eyes tightly so that he played fair. In truth, he could have closed them just enough to appear closed, but they were in fact able to see. But he decided to be honest and far, so the scrunching of his eyes was enough to prove that he wasnt looking. Cinnamon-backed ears strained to hear which direction she had taken. Her screech of the starting word still rang in his ears, but he could clearly hear that she had taken off to the east, towards the Victorian house that they both called him. To his surprise however, she skidded and came hurtling back the way he had come. Perhaps she had changed her mind about where she was going to hide. Maybe she thought she would throw him off the scent if she doubled back on herself. A soft chuckle escaped him as he waited a few more seconds, then threw open his eyes. Apparently not. She had whizzed past him, as if to go the other way. He heard the tinkling laughter that was common amoung puppies her age. It was childish and sweet. But as she flew past him, she put the brakes on. Confusion lilted the young mans expression as he watched her stop and face him once more. She couldnt hide in plain sight like that- it completely defied the rules of the game. A thought struck him for a moment- what if she didnt know the rules of the game. He went to try and ask her, but her light puppy voice yapped over him and he shook his head in disbelief. Tag instead eh? "Somebody doesnt know the rules of hide and go seek!" He teased, a light dancing in his green eyes. He enjoyed days like this, where he didnt have to think much. Recently he felt as though he was growing up too fast sometimes- he never played with his brothers like this. Perhaps when he dragged them to the island for a picnic, they could play like they used to. It made the young man sad for a moment and a frown tugged his smile down before the gentle pressure of her tawny grey paw upon his made his head snap up. Green eyes connected with brown as she look at him, gauging his response, before jumping back enthusiastically and yelling in his face. He was 'it' then, was he? A booming bark escaped him as he watched her run, deciding to give her at least a little chance before he was on his paws and after her. "I'm gonna get you Mia! There's no escape!" He took two leaping bounds after her before he slowed his gait down to a restrained trot. She was small and despite his emaciated body, he was still much larger than her. Though thin, there was no doubt that when he put on weight, Saul was going to be a big body. Playful paws batted at the young girls legs, occasionally catching them on a claw. It was never enough to fully trip her, which was a bonus. A wicked grin spread over his jaws as he took a flying leap and landed in front of the fleeing girl, placing his own paw on her chest and gently pushing, aiming to stop her in her tracks. "Tag!" He murmered before twisting around and running in the opposite direction. She better be able to keep up with him. word count;; 583 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-22-2010
I'm enjoying this so much! Her heart beat faster and faster as she viciously tried to get out of the male's way. Her ears flattened against her skull. Though slightly darker, their cinder-tainted color blended in perfectly with the rest of her pelt. Although Mia knew that the elder wolf would eventually catch up with her, that didn't stop her. Nor did the fact that she felt him cribbing the distance between them, pinching lightly at her hind legs slow her down. In fact, it gave her a boost of energy. She had to at least make an attempt to overtake him , even if for a couple of seconds. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-23-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; <3 Soft pads pushed against the hardened ground, rolling back and forward as they shifted the young mans light weight. He tried to keep his pace down, tried to make sure that he didn't leave her behind. It was easy once you got the rhythm- two steps ahead, one reigning pause before he went on again. It was a healthy rhythm for him as well as Mia- he'd already had his run for the day and he felt a little sour on the joints. He needed more meat on him to suppliment his rigorous exercise in the mornings. It was good for Mia as well- she really shouldn't be too active right now, considering the fact that she had only just arrived. Her words rang out in her ears and he gave a booming laugh backward in her direction.“I'd like to see you try Mia!” He laughed, dropping back just slightly to brush his tail across her face. Before she had a chance to shout the turning word of 'tag' Saul pushed forward, whipping his offending tail out of the way. He reverted back to his old rhythm, a few steps forward and a restraining step back. He could hear the strain she was putting in so he slowed once more. He didn't want her to be too exhausted. Still, cinnamon-backed ears flashed back as he heard her hit the dirt with a loud 'puh'. He stopped and turned, concern clouding his green eyes. “You okay Mia?” He asked, head cocking once to the side before he watched her scramble to her paws again. He shook his head, wondering if he was this pliable just a few months ago. She seemed able to throw herself around and bounce back with no more than a shake of her body and a huff. She was after him again and Saul pretended to look shocked as he jumped into action again. Soon enough, she would wear out and he would carry her home for an afternoon nap. She was, after all, just two months old. She would need a sleep soon. But until then, he was going to give as good as he could. He skidded to a halt and looked back at her- green eyes taunting. “You're going to have to do better than that Mi-Mi” He taunted before flashing her a wink and turning once more. He would let her catch him soon, then it would be his turn to chase. word count;; 410 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-23-2010
ooc here! "Fine." She answered his concerned question with barely a whisper. Her chest went up and down briskly as she fought for air while still trying to keep her speed just right. It wasn't long, though, until her weariness forced the pup to a trot before she stopped for good. Her broad, brown eyes stared at the male who had halted as well. A healthy-pink tongue hovered from Mia's mouth in addition to her already fully-spread tired expression. For a second she wanted to tease Saul by asking him if he was giving up, still she decided otherwise. After all, it was written all over her body that she was the one admitting defeat. She wanted nothing more but to lie down for a couple of seconds, when she was hit straight in the face by a new challenge. Well, she wasn't going to withdraw just like that. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-24-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; sorry for the wait and the shortness!! He heard her short whisper that answered his question and he gave an answering nod. She was more resilient than he'd first thought and he was in some way glad that she was this way. He was glad she hadnt been some fragile creature who couldnt deal with the rough and tumble of play. Still, he was reminded how young she was when she began to slow. He slowed too, watching as she stopped altogether. He was going to take pity on her, he was going to come closer and allow her to tag him and call it off. It would only be perhaps another half an hour or so before she would calm and grow tired. He would take her home and curl her up on one of the couches in the common room- he didnt know which room Conor had given her. But she wasnt giving up hope yet and for a moment Saul was proud to be friends with this little fighter. She was obviously tired, but his earlier taunt reached her and she was up again."We should stop in a minute Mi-Mi... I'm tiiiired!" He whined, his voice rising in pitch as he danced around the racing pup. He kept their track very short now- every time Mia came at him he would dodge and spin before facing her head on again. His mouth still danced with a gentle smile but his paws were getting tired. Lack of food for a prolonged period of time had resulted in the lessening of his energy. Having just returned from a long run to the beach, Saul was in no fit shape to keep up this play. He dragged his paws along the floor, becoming sloppy as Mia rushed at him again and again. Another leap from her and she would catch him. His tail swatted her face once more, ears readyiing for the yell of tag. When it was his turn to chase, he would either suggest they go home for a nap, or chase her until she fell asleep. Just like that, the words spewed from her lips as she touched him. He gave an exasperated grin washed over his face as he watched her crumple to the ground. Despite the fact that he was at least five months older than her, his body was a lot less healthy. He allowed his legs to fold beneath him and he opened his mouth to allow his pink tongue to curl at the edges as he panted. He was hot and his stomach ached with a need for some breakfast, or brunch at the very least. He was going to suggest they go back home when she teased him. She sat up and he playfully snapped at her legs before returning to his panting position."I dont know if you've noticed, but I'm a starved child! I have every right to be tired!" He countered indignently, but his eyes were dancing with a teasing glow to them. He was enjoying her company a lot more than he expected he would have done, considering just half an hour ago he had been sat with his head hanging low, feeling sorry for himself. She had brightened his day up considerably, and he was gladly entertaining the idea of eating with her soon. They would need to find some food first, but after that, they were set to go. However, ever curious as she was, she began to speak again. Saul considered her words carefully before he even attempted to make an answer work in his mind. Why did they live here? Most of Dahlia de Mai consisted of Luperci, but surely that wasnt the sole reason. Maybe it was the availability of human dwellings- they inhabited the towns of Wolfville and Berwick, who had houses and other such dwellings. It wouldn't make sense for them to stay in the woods when such accomdation was available. But he didnt know how much of this was true, so instead he glanced at Mia and smiled. "I'm not really sure Mi-Mi. A lot of the wolves in Dahlia are different to normal wolves, including myself. Maybe we find it easier to live in these houses. It wouldnt make sense for us to live in the forest when there are houses here for us. And besides, we'd all get real cold in the winter when it rains every day?!" Mia had not experianced winter yet, and Saul doubted she knew what it would mean. Then again, Saul had never been through one either, so he couldnt really talk. But at least he knew what it was. A soft smile graced his lips once more as her mouth began again. She spoke constantly, mentioning Conor and the fact that she liked it here. Then she asked him about how he got used to it. He couldnt, in all truths, remember his first night in Dahlia. He had been so exhausted and starving that when his aunt had placed him on the single bed in the room facing the street, he had fallen straight away. He had been so comfortable in that bed, after weeks of hard floors, that he had been so grateful ever since. He hadnt really needed time to settle in. "I dont know really... When I got here i was too exhausted to know much about what was going on. My Aunt Bris put me in bed and I was so grateful for the soft mattress I never looked back. You'll get used to it Mi-Mi, dont worry!" He reassured her with a soft ruffle of her head with his paw. She was such a nice young puppy that Saul could feel himself immediatly like her. He knew they would become friends and he liked the idea of spending more time with one another. But right now, he was hungry and they were both tired from their excurssions. He gave a nod to her suggestion of eating and talking on the way back home. As she teased him about playing again, he gave an exaggerated groan and a shake of his head. He was usually always up for a play, but he was tired now. "I think I've had enough for today, Mia! You've defeated me!" Although in all truths, Mia was probably the one to lay down first- it was easier to just let her think she'd won. She was obviously the kind to persue something until she won. He stood and stretched out his bones, groaning again when his spine cracked and popped with satisfaction. With a soft gesture of his head, Saul indicated that she should lead the way home. word count;; 768 "speech" - Mia Tuk - 10-27-2010
I'm so sorry for not replying earlier! I didn't get a free day until today. The whole week's been filled with test papers! Argh! She chuckled as she heard him complain about being a starving child. Well, she was , too. She could relate to a hungry stomach, but still, she could have endured that for hours if she had to. Strangely enough she seemed to have grown very fond of Saul in the few time they had spent together. To the young pup he seemed so wise and his every gesture looked as if it had been thought for long. Of course, she was quite forgetting that he wasn't all that much older than she was, but she couldn't help but admire those around her that didn't share her age. In comparison with them, Mia found herself more like a, as funny as it sounds, a mouse. Not even a wolf-in-development. It didn't take her long to engross that particular feeling after the explanation about how the wolves in Dahlia de Mai were much different than the wolves she was used to. walk the walk talk the talk think the thought .miatuk-a01 .ooc {font-style:italic;} .miatuk-a01 p {padding:0px 10px 5px 10px; margin:0px; text-indent:25px;} .miatuk-a01 b {color:#A891AE; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #D5C2FF;} .miatuk-a01 {background-color:#fff; background-image:url(http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6205/avataryl.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:190px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #D5C2FF; font-family: georgia; font-size:12px; color:#A891AE; letter-spacing:.2px; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:12px; width:323px; text-align:justify; } .miatuk-a01-border {width:325px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto; } .miatuk-a01 .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:1px dotted #D5C2FF; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style>
- Saul Stormbringer - 10-27-2010
<style type="text/css"> .saulsnow b {font-weight:bold; color:#1d2243; letter-spacing:1px; } .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; text-align:right;} .saulsnow p {text-indent:25px;padding:5px 10px;margin:0px;} .saulsnow {width:400px;border:1px solid #3645d8;background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/K ... ulsnow.png);background-position:top center;background-repeat:no-repeat;padding-top:282px;background-color:#89adef;text-align:justify;margin:10px;font-family:georgia, serif;font-size:12px;line-height:12px;color:#3645d8;} </style> ooc;; thread finished? We can leave it there, or you can have on last post if you want! His stomach felt so empty and hollow at that point that it was beginning to hurt. It was odd that he, who had survived on so little, was now suddenly hungry all the time. He wondered briefly about what he would have been like without this apparent eating disorder in the way. He didn't know if he would be the same at all. Would he still be this hungry? He thought he probably would be. It got him thinking about his future, what he wanted to do with his life. He knew he was interested in herbs and their properties, so perhaps he would train to be a healer. But he could also see himself as a Scout, defending Dahlia and protecting his family. He would be straight into that profession, had he not known about the aggressive loners who often pace others borders. It was well known that Saul was not a fighter. Her soft voice, demanding none-the less infiltrated his mind, demanding answers.“I might show you someday!” He allowed a coy smile to spread across his lips and he once again ruffled her ears against her head. He was still on the floor and his stomach felt tight with hunger. He would remain like this until they found food. He had remained in this state for a damn sight longer than what he was now. Cinnamon backed ears perked as the tail end of her questions got him. What was winter like? He had no idea. He didn't want to lie, but he also didn't feel like being stupid either. His father had often said that when the cold winds of winter hit, they would be snuggled up at home. On this, he answered her. “Cold... And windy! We'll find out soon enough, apparently its not far around the corner.” He chuckled before stretching out his form and standing. He was much taller than Mia, but he really needed to fill out in muscle size. Her soft laugh filled his ears and he realised he was quite fond of the little female. He laughed as she caught him at his own game. He dipped his head and softly allowed it to bump against her forehead. His lips stretched in a grin that showed his teeth, but in a non threatening way. “I am very tired actually! We should go home.” He pushed the side of her body with his head towards the direction of home. It wasn't too far away and they would be back in no time. He would see if anyone had left any food for them, and if not he would attempt to hunt for something, a rabbit maybe. A soft smile danced over his lips as he trotted behind the young pup, headed for home. -saul and mia leave- word count;; 462 "speech" |
