- Siku - 03-10-2011
Because I have a bit of writers block, a short starter for either Raps or Shaw, or both? Whatever the first responder wants Siku had only ever experienced one spring, and that was far in the Northwest. The snow did not completely melt until late June that far North. Siku enjoyed seeing everything grow and come to life in spring, one moment she was watching the snow melt and the next there were pussy willows and spruce trees growing leaves. Summer didn't last long at all in her memory. Two and a half months of warm bliss for Siku now nearly forgotten, the she-wolf had no idea what the weather would be like in Dahlia. After the snow storm, Siku expected more of what felt like cruel beatings from Mother Nature. She was actually a little worried after almost freezing, but it was becoming warmer outside. Siku could feel it, the biting wind was gone for good it seemed. Most days were spent wandering around the town and surrounding land, but this day was reserved for something else, something special. Golden eyes shot open and fluttered as Siku adjusted to the sunlight hitting her lazy eyes, and the petite woman took a moment to shake her fur and come to full consciousness. At night, the young she-wolf would travel to hunt, and then creep back into town. Feeling foolish, as she knew she was a part of the pack now, Siku couldn't help but feel awkward in the strange town. She had seen human built structures many times, but never had she inhabited one. To build one like her friend Saul did seemed near impossible. Instead Siku liked to curl up in small, warm places. It was a little childish perhaps, but Siku felt safe when she was tucked into herself, nose under her leg. Never had she slept in Optime form. Siku shook herself again before standing up, lazily stretching every limb. She then made a slow trot around in the snow, warming up her stiff legs as she got ready to change. Siku was going to go from four legs to two in order to the strange library. It was her mission for the day, her own goal. She'd only been there once before. After changing into her slimmer, 5"5 Optime form near the side of the library, the woman glanced around with a sheepish expression before ducking into the old building. "Spring is here soon.. I can tell!" Siku murmured to herself happily as she briskly retrieved a book, clutching it o her chest as she left the building with a soft sigh. Storing her loaned book in a strange old building was worrisome for Siku, and as she walked away from the library she did so with a smile. Graceful in her happy bliss, Siku ran her hands over the book with intrigue once again. It was a gift, a thick book of words Nayru had lent to the Arctic she-wolf. It was an Encyclopedia of plants that were right there in Dahlia, where Siku could watch them grow! It had information on so much, and the woman wanted to read every sentence at least twice. Why she was so fond of life and plants, she never bothered to question. It just happened along the way of exploring so much. Some old and some new experiments with different plants gave Siku the curiosity to keep learning. Siku found a seemingly vacated house on the same road, and perched on the front step only a little hesitantly. Her pure white body curled in around her slightly worn book as she pushed through tabbed spots gently. Mentally thanking Nayru as she thumbed through pages, Siku settled with her elbow on her thigh and her hand supporting her neck as she leaned over the book with intense concentration. The woman seemed to put all her strength and will into one thing at a time, though focus was only truly found when it came to reading- As well as hunting of course. .siku-t98 .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; } .siku-t98 p {padding:5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .siku-t98 b {color:#000000; letter-spacing:0px; font-family:times new roman, times, serif; font-size:14px; } .siku-t98 {background-color:#D1D2D1; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2011feb/siku.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px solid #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#383838; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:450px; text-align:justify; padding:230px 0px 10px 0px; margin:0px auto; } </style>
- Phones Toyota - 03-17-2011 Sorry for the wait on reply, I got struck down by midterms .__.

- Siku - 03-20-2011
It's fine! <3 'It's amazing what you can do with plants,' Slender fingers trailed down pages as Siku consumed words almost hungrily. Always eager to read, no matter the topic, this book was particularly entrapping the Dahlian's interest more so than usual. The down-to-earth woman always loved plants. 'Heal, cure, soothe, kill. Alter.' The last one was not something Siku was aware of until recently, the fact that certain plants could be utilized for their psychedelic effects. The she-wolf had left the border to explore days before, and became acquainted with some strange Loners not too far south. They offered her a joint, and thus the woman had experienced her first marijuana trip. After the thc left her system, the white wolf set forth to return home and get to her book as soon as possible. Was there information about the strange herb in the book? Suddenly, a sound interrupted the consumed she-wolf. Round ears twitching, the pale haired beauty glanced up with a soft sigh. It had been about a half hour since she had started reading, her golden eyes calculating this through the sun's progression in the sky. Perceptive eyes lowered from the sky to scan the area, easily spotting the source of the sound. A finger pressing into the center of the books spine to hold her page, Siku inconspicuously studied the male that was now approaching her. He was a Dahlian, she could tell, and young. Younger than her. He had adorned himself with strange piercings all over, but this did not faze the woman. Rather, it fascinated her. Glowing eyes lowering to her pages, Siku tried not to stare as the boy drew near. He was missing a leg, and Siku assumed that the unfortunate soul was born that way. Soft hearted and kind as she was, the woman would do nothing to make the boy feel that he was lessened in any way by his disability. The she-wolf was not taught to be polite, it was in her nature. She was also learning from her closest friend Saul, though. He had found her at Dahlia's borders, and welcomed her into the pack like he was waiting for her all along. Saul has even offered to have Siku move into the house he built himself, and the woman found herself smiling at the very thought. It seemed these days that the handsome male would not leave her mind, and when he did it was never for long. There was little hope of continuing her reading now; the alabaster Dahlian's mind muddled with thoughts of Saul, and her ears averting her eyes back to the boy currently in front of her. Siku's dreamy smile grew into a disarming, charming grin as she waved to the boy with a hand. The other pulled a flap from the books jacket out to mark her page, gracefully closing the book and clutching it to her chest with an unconscious affection. Siku's heart fluttered as she heard the boy speak for the first time. As he addressed her, he called her what Saul had often done since they met: Miss. It made her feel foolish at first, how proper it had sounded. But as her closest friend continued to call her that, it grew on the woman. She found herself pleased to hear it from another wolf, and already Siku took a liking to the stranger. He wouldn't hurt a fly, she could see it on his face. Another peaceful soul to befriend. "It's just an encyclopedia about the plants that grow here.. My name is Siku, but you can keep calling me miss, if you like. It's cute." A giggle escaped her slender maw, and Siku gestured to the front step she was currently relaxing on invitingly. "Sit! You can read with me." .moonbird-text {padding:0px 10px;} .moonbird {padding:5px 0px; text-indent:25px; margin:0px;} .moonbird b {color:#5c3c77; font-weight:bold;} .moonbird {width:400px; margin:0 auto; background-color:#848488; background-image:url(http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/8168/souls77.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding:270px 0px 10px 0px; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#3a3a7b; word-spacing:.2px; line-height:14px; letter-spacing:.1px; text-align:justify; border:1px solid #000000;} </style>
|
