'Souls winter was not growing on her. In fact, she hated it. The snow, it wasn't there in the Mexican deserts. It wasn't there on the filthy island of Barbados. No, it was only here in her knew home, at least as far as she was concerned. Snow, mud, cold. Disgusting. So she spent her time within the confines of the caves. It was better than surface exploration. Since her encounter with Miqui, waiting for him patiently to come to the borders as she was, she didn't want to leave the region. If he came, if she wasn't there...she'd lose the chance to bring him into the fold. The rocks gave comfort that she wouldn't miss his arrival. As was normal to the woman, she had found a forgotten passage. Her knuckles wrapped ever so gently against the surface. Ochre ears wiggled about at the sound. Her search was for weakness, perhaps flaws in the structure that might enable them to expand. Her family had not yet found her search strange; she'd told Selene, and even ventured with the woman into a darker pass to talk and explore. Her new home was an enigma she was slowly becoming familiar with. In Eterne, caverns were saved for those indoctrinated to Momoztli's faith. She had not been. Her family had lived in a house. Momoztli didn't touch those in the darkness. She didn't believe he did. A voice, a stomp, a grumble. The combination brought her from her trance easily, flaming eyes searching for the source. Curiosity managed to pull her from her search in order to see more clearly the figure who had spoken. It didn't take long to find him. A strange hybrid, not wolf but not coyote, seemed aggravated with daisies strewn across the ground and stamped into the dirt. One eyebrow quirked upward. "Somet'ing ess troubling you, hm?" Her own voice held little in the way of emotion, and her eyes echoed her apathy, but her posture proved otherwise. This male was unique. She was intrigued. <style> .tk-abandon {margin:0px auto;width:450px;background-color:transparent;background-image:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-position:bottom;border:none;padding:0px;font-family:Georgia;font-size:12px;line-height:16px;text-align:justify;margin-top:10px;} .tk-abandon .ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;line-height:15px;text-align:left;margin:2px;text-indent:0px;} .tk-abandon .ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .tk-abandon .divider {border-bottom:1px dashed;} .tk-abandon p {text-indent:20px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .tk-abandon b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .tk-abandon i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .tk-abandon u {font-style:italic;text-decoration:none;font-variantmall-caps;border-bottom:1px dotted;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
- Giuseppe Trovato - 04-22-2011
Urgh. His features were strangely comical, with over sized ears that didn't really match his body and sharp eyes. Subtly, she leaned forward. The dark pupils of her red eyes widened, hoping to take in more at one time while she examined the odd mash of genetics. His grumpy voice didn't intimidate her. As he examined her, she found her interest sated, returning to the ramrod straight posture that so frequently cluttered her body. Answering his questions was the last thing she was interested in, yet she wasn't rude enough to ignore him now. Allowing her hands to fall upon her hips, she looked to the crushed daises on the ground. As her jaws parted to expel the answer to his annoyed inquiry, he said even more, and it was enough to startle the coyote into silence. The sly grin, the suggestive words — all of it was very confusing. One inquisitive eyebrow rose. "Lonely? Aye ahm not lonely, strange man." Loneliness only stemmed from a lack of socialization, and one had to enjoy socializing before they could truly feel lonely. Though she was with no one at the moment, she had her nephew-turned-son back home in their shared cave. This man before her was little in the way of a strange acquaintance found in a tunnel. "But pearaps you ahre the lonely one, mi querido. Pearaps that ess why ch'you ahsk." Her own subtle, coy grin appeared as she refuted his words. If he needed to ask for company, she could be certain he was unpopular. <style> .tk-abandon {margin:0px auto;width:450px;background-color:transparent;background-image:none;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-position:bottom;border:none;padding:0px;font-family:Georgia;font-size:12px;line-height:16px;text-align:justify;margin-top:10px;} .tk-abandon .ooc {font-style:italic;font-size:11px;line-height:15px;text-align:left;margin:2px;text-indent:0px;} .tk-abandon .ooc b {font-weight:bold;font-style:normal;} .tk-abandon .divider {border-bottom:1px dashed;} .tk-abandon p {text-indent:20px;margin:0px;padding:5px 10px;} .tk-abandon b {font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;} .tk-abandon i {font-style:italic;letter-spacing:1px;} .tk-abandon u {font-style:italic;text-decoration:none;font-variantmall-caps;border-bottom:1px dotted;letter-spacing:1px;} </style>
|
