- Tristan Nakado - 04-19-2008
Tristan’s pale eyes, a washed-out blue that was nearly white, stared ahead as if they were trying to bore holes into his target. The deer was young and it was wounded. He had spotted the limp initially, and followed beast for the greater span of half an hour. If there was anything to be said about the wolf it was that he was stubborn and he was remarkably patient. He had formed, in his mind, an invisible line for which the deer had to cross. After that, it was all over. Sure enough, as if driven by his will, the tawny animal lifted its head and took a few steps away from its previous position. Like a red arrow, Tristan had shot out of his hiding place. Spooked, the deer bolted.
- Guest - 04-22-2008
- Tristan Nakado - 05-01-2008
Tristan regained his senses once his belly was full. He had never spent much time around children, and it had just occurred to him she might not be able to tear apart the hide. Shifting his weight and pulling back, he motioned with his head to the bloody gap formed in the hollowed belly of the doe. “You can eat meat, right?” His voice was deep, but not without humor. He was more interested in the fact she was albino (though he did not know the word for it), something he had never seen before.
- Guest - 05-04-2008
ooc She wasn't sure what part she was supposed to eat. She sniffed daintily at the hoof of the animal, watching what Tristan was doing carefully, hoping to mimic him. Wednesday had tried to show her something about eating meat before, but it had been over a month ago...it felt like a lifetime ago. She tried to remember more, but couldn't. His voice came out and it startled her, making her take a nervous step backwards. Was he already done? Maybe she could come back later and try and eat, without anyone watching. Then she wouldn't feel so bad. "I...d'know" She said. "I's just been eatin' burds...and some buggies. I's never see'd this kind of animal b'fore" - Tristan Nakado - 05-07-2008
“It’s a deer,” he explained. The girl was so young, and Tristan was inexperienced in the raising of children. This did not mean, of course, he disliked them—to the contrary. As rough and cold as he was to strangers, he adored children. They offered a youthful innocence and truth the world had forgotten. Moving his body and reaching his head into the belly, he grabbed a chunk of the fleshy-stuff and put it down in front of the girl. “Go ahead,” he added, his tail giving a wag behind him, suggesting it was all right.
|
