- Oak - 06-21-2011
<3! Their birthdays had come and gone, though Oak had not remembered the day of their one year mark until his mother had reminded him that it was his birthday. He had meant to head toward Cour des Miracles on that day, but since his memory had failed him, and he had been busy hunting and scouting around in the days following, he had postponed this long ago scheduled visit. It was all right, however, because it was merely a few days past that he had nothing important to take care of, and today was without a doubt the day that he had been looking forward to since his last encounter with his largest littermate, months ago. Not only was the boy thrilled to get a good look at the place his brother had chosen to live, he was ecstatic to see Alder again. He would never forget their previous encounter, and how it had pushed him through the final months of winter with a strengthened mind.

It did not know he was stalking behind it from a distance. The hunting lessons of ages ago had done the boy well. Though, he was a man now as his date of birthing had passed. Alder had been quiet about the day, not withing to bring to light the passing of such an occasion. He was a yearling, and with that would bring him more responsibility and pressure to be an adult. The male took no credit for the things he had done so far. Indeed he noted them in his head, but they were small feats and he was not one to be proud and boast. The most honorable he felt was the stallion he had traded the mare for from the tribe of AniWaya. The black and white steed was his new prize, and the perfect companion for the shy and quiet wolf.
Hawthorn had been left behind, to his dismay, as the wolf went to hunt. He could not use a bow, and so hunting from the horse's back was not feasible. It was his lupus form that he crouched in, limber though large and able to take down a beast as large as a buck. Though his prey of choice was a small hare.
The bunny stood still, and Alder figured he had been found. But before he could take to chase there was a voice on the wind. The rabbit sprinted away, leaving the blue eyed wolf to contemplate who had been howling, and for him not less. It had been his name, hadn't it? He wondered as he stood to his full four legged height and turned into the wind that had carried the tune. Instinct made him tip his head and return the call, though it was a hesitant song and he padded towards the border in the search for the maker with his tail low.
Keen nose found his quarry, and his form turned more jovial as he realized that it was his brother that looked for him. A visit that had been planned in the depths of Winter. Alder's tail waved behind him as the brink furred wolf came into view, a smile on his face. For a moment he couldn't find the words, his tongue lost in the excitement that he felt.
Welcome Oak! He finally spoke, his grin wide and goofy. .alderjune02a b {font-weight:bold; color:#555833; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #181a0d; } .alderjune02a p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .alderjune02a {margin:0 auto; width:495px; background-color:#353921; background-image:url(http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h37 ... ne002a.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #202509; padding: 125px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#181a0d; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 300+
- Oak - 06-23-2011
ilu!

The man were boys again. Though they had only just reached the yearling age, and to slip back to the antics of puphood was so very easy. Alder's tail wagged unlike any time before, and he bounced as he brother greeted him. With his large form it was awkward, but fun none the less. Oak spoke with a smile, he words just as excitable as those Alder had. He nodded his masked head, of course he still wanted to show him around. The cabin wasn’t far, and then even closer to that were the stables. It wasn’t far, not for two able wolves in their lupus form.
The Lord gave a nod, Lets go then! He said with his deep voice. Alder turned, tail level with his back (much higher then he normally held it) and it even began to curl slightly. There was no fear in him, when bringing the reddish toned boy across the border with him. Oak was his brother, and there would be no hard done in their travels. He was also too excited to truly imagine the consequences.
Alder bounded through the trees, making a game of it. He was not easy to loose even in among the aged trunks, so it wasn’t much more then a follow the leader. But he found it fun to take to swift paws and test Oak’s stamina. The cabin was easy to find, but its windows were dark, and no smoke filtered through the chimney. It was likely that no one was even home on such a pleasant day. This is where I stay. He explained, his breath quickened slightly. But I don’t think anyone’s home. He explained, shrugging his shoulders slightly. It wasn’t the real fun anyways. Of course the cabin wasn’t the Manor, who could fit ten of the small houses inside of it. .alderjune02a b {font-weight:bold; color:#555833; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #181a0d; } .alderjune02a p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .alderjune02a {margin:0 auto; width:495px; background-color:#353921; background-image:url(http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h37 ... ne002a.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #202509; padding: 125px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#181a0d; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13px; text-align:justify;} </style> 300+
- Oak - 08-04-2011
Go right to the horsies?
Anxious to set their plans in motion, Oak yelped his happiness after Alder had invited him past the borders and into the thick forest. At once they were boys again, Alder leaping effortlessly through the trees and Oak following close. They were little more than shadows dancing gracefully beneath the canopy. Alder was larger than he, but he was also swifter. With many months of tracking game himself and gorging on good meat, Oak had become rather compact and bulky with muscle, and he had trouble keeping up to his brother. At first he was running with his nose at the other's shoulder, but after a few moments his speed depleted and he fell behind. Still, his strong legs carried him at reasonable closeness, Alder was never out of his sight.
