- Valinta LeStrange - 06-27-2011 sorry it's a bit short. I should have better replies. Valinta idly walked around, fiddling with her necklace. Gunnar had wandered off again and she was supposed to be looking for him, but the day was just too nice to be worried about him. He was a mature boy, he'd be safe. Tasting the misty air and smiling was more important at the moment, what with all the stress of making a new pack with Galileo and whatnot. What was the point of being stressed if not to further enjoy the relaxation afterwards? Smiling languidly, the female traced her hand around a tree, paying close attention to the feel of the bark and the damp, cool air pressing against her fur. It was remarkable how you didn't notice a beautiful day until you had been to busy to even try to notice. And then it's just all the more pretty. Moving from her tree to a different one, Valinta traced it as she did before, then hefted herself up onto a low-lying branch. The tree was perfect for her, she thought slowly. Laying on her belly, the female smiled again and let her eyes drift shut. It really was a perfect day for relaxation. Relaxing with a cool drink and... and a nice book. In Russian of course, as the female still couldn't read English. Moving to lie on her back, Valinta crossed her arms behind her head and stared up at the sky through the tree's foliage. A beautiful blue color. Almost like the eyes of her friend Sky. Giggling softly, the female thought about how the sky was blue like Sky's eyes. Letting her own yellow eyes drift shut again, Valinta sighed in contentment. Trees and a beautiful sky and nice weather on a perfect day. Short of Gunnar being eaten by a bear or something, nothing could really make this a bad day. - Yi TaeKyung - 06-29-2011
WC: 593
That day, the Jindo-wolf hybrid moved her activities into the daylight hours. She was tired and hungry. For several days, she had been unable to find a meal. Unable to feed and replenish her energy, the black fae had decided to cease her practices for the time being. Until she was able to find a meal, energy must be conserved. It was not the first time food had grown scarce, and she knew what to do. Once, near dawn, she had found the trail of a rabbit. Excited by the prospect of her next meal, the black fae had moved into the shadows, mustering up her energy to make the takedown. But her excitement had been premature. The scent of a bear had grown strong, and the scent of rabbit’s blood. Perhaps, if she had had a fuller stomach, she would have had the energy to challenge the bear over his meal. But today was different. Grudgingly, the black fae relinquished the hunt and moved along. As the golden orb mounted the tree tops, the lunar orbs felt pain. The black female paused closing her eyes as she smelled the air. Day was coming. Her eyes had been made for the night. Those eerily white orbs that shone in the dark had been specialized for reflecting light—a near-perfect night vision. But in the daytime hours, the sun was too bright, a burning beacon to a bird flying to high. It was dangerous for her—she knew she could go blind if she stayed to long in the light. But the urgency of feeding was hot on her heels. She had no choice but to continue. Shutting her eyes, the black fae took several steps further, her grace undaunted by the lack of sight. Black nose twitched as cooler airs were sought—shade. She had found it. But even the shade was too bright she learned as she tried to peer through her lids. A soft growl was emitted from her graceful throat. Perhaps she could wait.... Black auricles swiveled as she caught a scent. The black nose turned toward the tree’s crown as she realized that she had intruded upon another’s currently occupied space. .ykt-simplestuff {margin:0px auto;width:425px;border:1px solid white;-moz-border-radius:10px;-webkit-border-radius:10px;border-radius:10px;background-color:#000000;font-family:Verdana;font-size:9px;color:#f1f1f1;padding:5px;text-align:justify;padding-left:10px;padding-right:10px;} .ykt-simplestuff b {color:#777777;} .ykt-simplestuff p {text-indent:25px;} </style>
- Valinta LeStrange - 07-02-2011
Word Count → --- :: I'm sorry o3o also, kind of short. As Val lounged in the shade of the tree, she heard someone else approaching. Ears flicking she ignored it until someone else, a fairly feminine (if deep) voice asked something. At first, it took a small while for the female to understand, but realized that the all-black female below her (Valinta having now turned to see who it was) was asking if she could share the shade. Smiling, the woman flipped over fully onto her stomach onto the branch and nodded. "Of course. You can use the shadow as well." Smelling something not too far away, she lifted her head and hopped off the branch, making a swift transformation to Lupus form. Dashing off, Valinta startled a couple of rabbits that were in a bush and quickly captured both, carrying them back to the shade. She offered one of them to the woman next to her, then sat on the ground with her own rabbit that she began to eat, hoping the woman's tone would warm up with the offering. .valintaflower .ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:justify; color:#68713f;} .valintaflower .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; color:#68713f} .valintaflower p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .valintaflower b {color:#68713f; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .valintaflower {background-color:#fdfdfd; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/2OtpY.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; -moz-border-radius: 1em; border-radius: 1em; padding:230px 0px 5px 0px; border:2px solid #8f7f41; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#8f7f41; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } .valintaflower .separator{width:300px; border-bottom:2px dotted #8f7f41; margin:0 auto 5px auto;} </style> - Yi TaeKyung - 07-05-2011
WC: 518
The Korean hybrid had begun to doze off when the sound of approach reached her ears. Alerted, the martial artist came to full wakefulness, but she did not move—save for the swivel of her ears. Yet, when she smelled the scent of flesh, her interest was ignited and her hunger rekindled. As she slowly lifted her head curiously—almost eagerly, the stranger had offered her a rabbit. Normally she would not have accepted it as eagerly as she did—snatching it up in her strong jaws and setting to devouring it. But pride could not remain an obstacle. Indeed, she was a hunter and a warrior, and she was self sufficient. She did not need some stranger pack wolf to do her hunting as if she were still a cub. But at the moment, the situation was a bit more dire than the lone hybrid would have preferred, and so she accepted the meal in humbled silence. The blood flowed onto her tongue as she pulled away the flesh. Once the hair and hide had been sufficiently removed, the female discriminated no further. She ate the flesh and the organs and even the bones, crushing them in her teeth and consuming the rich marrow. While small, devouring every inch of the rabbit had given her enough energy to endure the wait until nightfall more comfortably. The obsidian female could not help but be thankful. Eyes still closed to daylight, the Jindo-wolf turned to the stranger. .ykt-simplestuff {margin:0px auto;width:425px;border:1px solid white;-moz-border-radius:10px;-webkit-border-radius:10px;border-radius:10px;background-color:#000000;font-family:Verdana;font-size:9px;color:#f1f1f1;padding:5px;text-align:justify;padding-left:10px;padding-right:10px;} .ykt-simplestuff b {color:#777777;} .ykt-simplestuff p {text-indent:25px;} </style>
|
