- Soran Aatte - 07-22-2011 [html] Private for Jazper-face Set in Cottontail Valley, Soran likes it there XD Apologies for the rambly-ness, can't seem to get out of ramble mode at the moment XD It was early evening, the evening star was hanging in the sky already, along with the moon, a half circle hanging in the sky, if one looked closely enough they would have been able to see the other half, shaded but present as the moon made it's may to being full once again. To the West the sun was setting, throwing up vibrant pinks and oranges into the darkening sky, the Eastern side of the sky was already dimming, becoming an ever deeper blue as the sun sank, giving the promise of an inky blackness fairly soon. The few clouds that drifted lazily across the sky were painted gold and blushed with pink as the sleepy sun's rays carressed them. The heavy orb itself was glowing a deep red, sinking slowly down over the horizon, making it appear as if the lands were tipping backwards to cover it, which was of course true, the turn of the Earth was what made the sun set, but it was a mind boggling thought. All around small animals were sniffing the air, most notably the rabbits, most active at this time, their little white tails flashing as the bounced amongst the tall grasses and flowers, now closing without the touch of the sun's rays to keep them open. Small birds sang a dusk chorus from surrounding trees, perhaps calling their young back to their nests, announcing that it would soon be time to sleep, that night was falling quickly and that it was time to be safe and up in the air, out of reach of any night time predators. They could have, of course, been warning of the approach of Soran, the ebony fae was walking slowly, hitching her leather satchel up higher on her shoulder every few steps. Her eyes roamed the area, fixing on the rabbits, musing for a moment if it would be a good time to go hunting, but truth be toold there was no point, her satchel was filled with plenty of dried rabbit, enough to last her a few more day's journeying at the very least. Perhaps if she had been running lower on supplies then she would have considered hunting a couple of them, it would not have been a difficult task, they were too focused on eating, too sluggish with the promise of sleep in the not too distant future, they would have made fairly easy prey, but the ebony fae was never one to take something simply for greed, she had enough to eat her fill already, any more would be unnecessarily excessive. The ebony huntress would not worry any small creatures this evening. She would simply enjoy the coming night and complete the task that she had come here to complete. The truth of the matter was that she was here to see Mati again, she had something for her, well at least she thought she did, something she would like. In the week that the dark lady had been gone, she had been collecting things, she had found a set of small paintbrushes and had instantly thought of her mottled brown granddaughter. She had decided that she would give them to her as a present, or perhaps even a peace offering, even if it all came to nothing she wanted her to have them, but she knew well enough not to expect much, she had never been one for attempting to buy love and she was not about to start now. Emerald eyes closed as the dark lady sniffed the air, checking that she had not yet crossed the pack's borders, even though she knew some of the members now, there were still many that she did not know, and she was not fool-hardy enough to tresspass and risk offending anyone, she needed others on her side in instances like this, if she wished to regain the affection of her granddaughter it would not do her well to manage to get herself banned from the packlands, she was unsure whether the reddish brown female would come looking for her if she did. In an instant the fragile relationship she had with her grandchild would be broken, perhaps for good. The dark female reached out and touched one of the closed flowers as she thought about Mati, her thumb stroking it's folded petals as she looked at it, even in this dim light it showed itself as a beautiful, vrbrant red, no wonder there were so many artistic wolves in these lands, there was so much inspiration here, one simply had to look out of their window to see some scenery that just cried out to be painted. Soran wished momentarily that she had learnt to paint, captured some of the old land's beauty before it was taken away from it, but alas she had not and it was too late now, there was no point living in that regret. With that thought the dark female sat down, stretching her long legs out in front of herself, crossing one ankle over the other. She reached into her satchel and pulled out a small flask, taking a sip from it she relaxed for a moment, she would sit here for a while and enjoy the scenery and then she would cross the borders and call for Mati, she was certain that she was allowed a little rest first. - Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 07-31-2011 [html] OOC: Ramble away XD

These lands were beautiful, oh how she had missed them, she had made these lands her home for a long time ago, she missed them in a way, they had been filled with good and bad memories, when she had left the bad had entirely eclipsed the good, tainting these lands for her, making her heart ache whenever she thought about them. That was why she had had left, she had to, her son had been so broken when she had left, he had asked her to end is life, the one thing the ebony lady could never have done for him, Soran would have walked over burning broken glass for Conri, but he had taken her devotion too far, the red boy asking his mother to kill him had been the last straw for her, despite what he had done, she could never had committed such a crime, it had brought terrible memories of Rokus back, and she had been entirely unable to cope. So the female had packed up and left the lands, not looking back for an instant, she had intended never to return. But eneviatably the pull had been too strong, this had been her home for far too long for her to simply forget it, her blood lived here, her kin. The lady's feet had happily found their own way back here without much guidance from her brain, they had walked on an automatic pilot back here, and she was happy that they had if she was honest. She had not realised how much she had missed these lands until she had returned, and she had already seen so many wolves who she considered family, her grandson, Taliesin, Noah, the blood of her former mates and of course her reddish brown granddaughter that she was waiting for here, she so hoped that she would come. Their last meeting had not gone well, the red girl had turned her back on her grandmother, and although Soran did not blame her it still hurt the ebony female deeply, she wanted to have a relationship with her, she knew that she did not deserve it, not after what had happened in the past, not after what Conri had done, afterall he had tainted the family in her grandchildren's eyes, but he was not his mother, just as she was not him. She hoped beyond all that her grandchildren would see that in time, that they would allow her to be a part of their lives, she did not expect miracles, she was not about to start handing out advice and kissing scraped knees better (for a start they were too old for that), but she wanted something, anything, just some chance of redemption. The reverie was broken by the sound of someone speaking behind her, the ebony lady jumped, laeping to her feet as quickly as she could, scattering pieces of dried rabbit across the ground. The female was nervous, this was a male that knew her, but she could not place the voice, she was wary of males that knew her, afterall her track record with males was not good, although all the males she knew that had harmed her were now dead, but still, she was wary, especially as she was on packlands where she was now considered a stranger. Then again anyone who was about to force her from the lands would not have greeted her with her name she was guessing, afterall most would have just said "get out" if they did not recognise her, even Mati had almost said that, before realising who the dark lady was, and then she had said it even more forcefully, that was still a thorn in Soran's heart. The ebony lady turned slowly, her eyes roving across the ebony male before her, she knew him, there was something about him. It had been a long time since she had seen anyone, so perhaps he had only been young when she had last seen him. Her emerald eyes fixed on his gaze for a moment as her made a teasing comment about having not seen her for a couple of years. And then suddenly it hit the ebony female, she did know him indeed, it was her former lover's adopted son. She had not seen the obsidian male for a very long time, but it was most definately him."Jazper!" She declared, smiling at him as the realisation washed over her. He had grown, he was an adult now, not the lean teenager he had been, his shoulders much broader, he now gained a marking across one eye as well. Soran smiled, gazing at him, how odd it was to have found so many wolves who she once had known or should have known before she had left. She was amazeed at her luck, having seen so many familiar faces and so many friendly new ones. - Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 08-01-2011 [html] OOC:

Sorry I did even more rambling XD The female could not take her eyes off of the younger male, it was so funny to see so many changes in him. She had been having to get used to a lot of changes recently, Haven had become a broad shouldered tall male, he was no longer the small ball of fluff that had tripped over his words and his own paws; Mati had grown into a beautiful woman, knowing her own mind and not wanting anything to do with her dark grandmother, her son had become a murderer and Nani had changed in another way, there was something deeper there within her, something darker, the way she had spoken about raising "better pups this time" had raised alarm bells in Soran's mind, what had happened. So much had changed, packs had fallen, formed and joined together, there was so much to adjust to, it had been a shock to the ebony lady's system, she had not expected it to be the same as when she had left, she did not expect time to freeze as her feet crossed the borders away from the lands, but so much had changed, and it felt like it had all happened in the blink of an eye for the fae, time seemed to be speeding up now that she was older. It was true that a lot had changed within her own life as well, she had given birth to another litter of pups, Rain, Flavian, Florence and Kiwi were now all almost grown themselves, the fae had almost belonged to another pack, she had taken another mate and she had left that all behind, just as she had done these lands, though on far more amicable terms. It just seemed that all that had taken no time at all for the fae, thinking about how much had changed in a space of six short years was so odd to the fae, let alone the two that she had been gone. She realised that in her lifetime she had seen so many changes, wolves had grown, had their own pups, died, changed, committed crimes, been the noblest they could be, the old lands had burned away into falling ash and cinders and the wolves had relocated and found themselves new homes. So much had changed in her life she could not quite understand why she was having so much difficulty adjusting this time, perhaps it was that her pups had grown, her grandchildren too had grown and given her great grandchildren, maybe it was because it reminded her of her age. The sable female had never been one to feel her age at all, she was still sprightly and active, her mind as sharp as it had always been, but it was true that she was ageing just as everyone else did, she was nearly eight years old now, the small silver flecks along her scar line and in her mane were evidence of that, it would not be that long until she was an old lady, not in the grand scheme of things. Still she smiled and even chuckled a little as the guilty smile crossed Jazper's face, she knew he had not meant to frighten her, it was simply that she was on edge after all the time she had been alone, a wanderer's life was always full of danger, excitement too, but one would always have to be on their guard against enemies and strangers, especially a lone female such as herself. It was taking her a little while to remember that in these lands she was safe, it was very slim of a chance that anyone she came across would mean her any harm. Well perhaps except for her grandchildren, but they did not mean her harm, they simply did not want her in their lives, which hurt her sufficiently, almost as if they had given her a physical wound. Jazper sat and Soran took the offer to sit beside him happily, stretching her long legs out before herself again, crossing them at her ankles, placing her arms behind her and resting her weight on the palms of her hands, she looked up to the sky for a moment, smiling at the darkness beginning to coat it, looking at the little pinpricks of light that glittered in the velvet canvass that they had been placed upon. She turned to look back at the male as he spoke again, she knew that tonnes had happened, but it seemed that there would be more for this male than most. He opened his shirt to reveal a scarred chest and the ebony fae gasped, they certainly put her own small scars into perspective, she had recieved nothing like that herself, being lucky enough to have avoided any attacks like that. Soon the topic changed to happier subjects though, it seemed as if the Marino clan was indeed here to stay, this made Soran smile, she was glad that Savina had found family and brought them here to help populate the lands, and two litters of pups? That in itself was shocking, but also delightful, so much had happened since the lady had left. Then came the question that she had been expecting, why was she back here, the answer was simple, well there were two answers, she was back in the lands to seek out family and because the pull of her old life had been too much to bear; and she was here tonight because she wanted to see Mati again, to once again try to patch up their broken relationship. - Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 08-07-2011 [html] OOC:

It's been crazy here! WC: 1390 Yup I'm still a rambler, sorry! XD Soran was smiling at the male, listening to him speak, what a funny situation she had found herself in, in another universe, where things had panned out differently, where other choices had been made she would have stayed with Deuce, they would probably still be mates even to this day, she would never have left and had her final litter of pups, but she would be sat here with her adopted son, she would be a grandmother to his children, it was a very strange thoughts for the ebony female, how different life could have been if things had worked out differently. Not that it made any difference to how Soran felt about the younger ebony male, he was kin to her in her mind, after all Deuce had loved him so much to adopt him, and so the ebony female would love him just as dearly, because her pale lover had loved him. She smiled at the male's reassurance about her being safe here, it would seem that he had become quite a guardian, she was proud of him, the role suited him, she had always thought of him as being destined for great things, this act of nobility and bravery by protecting his pack just proved that and reinforced the idea even further in her mind. The lithe female's ears twitched gently as she listened to him speak, they turned slightly to better catch what he was saying. He showed her his scars and spoke about what had happened, Soran's ears drooped slightly, she knew that Savina could be a vicious creature when she wanted to be, the dark leader had once confessed it to her in a conversation that was shared between the two a long time ago, but it was such a shame that Jazper had been injured because of it, and no doubt the bear was probably fairly injured as well, chances were a wound like the one the tattooed male had recieved would have come with retaliation for the bear as well. It would not have been taken lightly and no doubt the bear had been punished, that was a shame as well, the bear would have reacted against the attack, but if it was all part of a misunderstanding then it would not have deserved it, not really. Again Soran was proud of the jet male, he had taken a blow that was meant for his leader and he seemed to be proud of it, he was indeed a noble soul, putting himself at risk like that for the sake of another, to save them before they were injured severly or killed, it was indeed something that required a lot of bravery, the ebony female was astonished at how brave wolves could be when it was required of them. The female nodded slowly as Jazper said that he had never heard of Dhalia. She was expecting in a way, her red daughter had been a bit of a recluse, and then she had been infected with the addled thinking of her half brother, she had worshipped him and their psychopathic father, she had become severly unhinged, it was as if her evil father had taken over her. It was perhaps for the best that Jazper had never encountered her, she had been far from stable the last time the ebony female had seen her, which was not helped by the jet wolf laughing at her, she could not help it though, Dhalia believed so strongly that her father had loved her, her father had been an evil creature completely incapable of any feeling, let alone love. Soran could not help but laugh at her, she had hoped that by being cruel to her somehow her red girl would snap out of whatever spell it was that had a hold over her. It had not worked though, and she had not seen her red girl again, she missed her dearly though, despite her madness she was still her daughter, she wanted a chance to help the poor girl before she did something that she could not take back. So the pack had become more of a family affair had it? This did not surprise Soran, she had lived through the times of Chimera, when every second wolf in the pack had been a D'Angelo or a De Le Poer, it had always made her laugh, especially now it seemed that Naniko had lived up to her surname, on her fourth litter of pups, they had always been good wolves that Soran had been very fond of, but they were indeed prolific breeders. And of course for a time Syemv had been populated by Russos, the ebony fae was used to this sort of thing, when one found a mate within a pack and had pups it was usual for the pups to stay around as well, it made for a good united pack, when everyone was as close as to be related by blood anyway what harm did it do to actually be blood relatives? She nodded as the male spoke, the silver hoops in her left ear glittering in the dimming light as she did so. - Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 08-17-2011 [html] OOC: Sorry mine isn't as long and awesome as yours XD

She had loved his adopted mother more than anyone she had ever known, if the universe only gave wolves one big love in their lives then Deuce was hers, she had adored the pale female, they had been there for one another through the most horrid and the most wonderful times of their lives. Soran had been there at the birth of her eldest pups, just as Deuce had helped her bring Conri into the world. The pair of them, even now were bonded at the heart, Soran still felt the tug of the snowy female even here, a small pull at her heartstrings every now and again, she wondered often if Deuce felt the same, perhaps she did, the pull was almost physical for the ebony female, had she any clue where to even start looking for the pale lady she may have gone hunting for her by now, just to know she was safe and happy would be enough for the jet lady, even though she was unsure that Deuce still loved her, after all she had chosen Luicfer over her all that time ago. But then again the ebony male had been very jealous of his former step mother's relationship with Deuce, perhaps the pale female had indeed still loved her, the dark female supposed that she would never know now, now that the pale female seemed to have gone missing from the lands, there was nothing that she could do about it, perhaps if she were to come back then she would have her answer. Oh how she missed the pale female; the dark female spent a lot of time missing loved ones nowadays, her children, her grandchildren, old lovers, old friends, that had been why she had come back here, the hope that she could rekindle some of her old relationships was too strong for her, the pull of these old familiar lands being too tempting, and now she was here finding that so many she had known had moved on, but already she was finding those she considered family, perhaps her luck was changing. The fae nodded as the male spoke of the healers of the pack, she was slightly shocked to hear that Savina had had pups, but she supposed that that was to be expected, she had been gone a long time, a lot must have happened in her absence. - Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 09-02-2011 [html] OOC:

XD WC: 1354 The sable female could not deny that everything seemed odd now, so much had happened in the time that she had been gone, for her it had felt like only a moment since she had left, although it was true that so much had happened to her as well, having another litter, living within another pack, taking another mate; it just had not really occured to her that the pack lands here would have moved on so swiftly without her. It was strange to be back, seeing how much those wolves that she had seen as just tiny pups had grown, Jazper in particular had sprouted up so quickly, in her mind he would have still been the small bundle of black fur that she had known. How strange it was that she remembered Savina as being the young female who had confessed her inner turmoils to the sable female when she was now a mother of six and the leader of the pack. She was a fine choice though, that Soran could not deny, she must be a good and fair leader if Jazper was so willing to follow her. The lady nodded as she listened to all of the troubles that had happened, a murderer had been let into the pack? This saddened the female deeply, although she knew that this sometimes could happen, it would not do to be distrustful of everyone that came to the borders, usually the trust was rewarded with loyalty and hard work, sometimes though it could be thrown back in the faces of the leaders, as had happened in this case, as had happened when Conri had been leader, he himself had betrayed his pack, his family and his mate all in one go, this still broke the ebony mother's heart everytime she thought of it. The female's velvet ears flattened to her skull with sadness as she thought of how Savina must have felt, the loss of a child was a terrible thing to endure, Soran herself had lost little Maeve when she had been only minutes old, she could not imagine losing a child that she had grown to know and love, a child that had it's own personality and habits, that must have been dreadful for the ebony leader of the pack. Ears swivelled and perked up once more as the male continued, speaking of something which could have been a second loss, a child had fallen off the roof? How on earth had she gotten up there in the first place? The sable lady's brow furrowed as she looked up at the jet Lictor, unable to comprehend how the child would have managed to get up there in the first place, the poor child though, such a fall would have been a terrible thing, especially for Savina, it must have been awful for her to have to fear losing a second child. The subject was changed away from the occurances in the pack quickly, allowing the female to stop her ears drooping with sorrow for them, it was a dreadful thing to hear, she hated the idea that anyone in the pack that had once been her home would have been injured or killed, she still cared deeply for the wolves that lived here, the ones that she knew anyway and hated to think of them suffering through any sorrow. She watched the male as he spoke of the goats, nodding along with his words, although her brow furrowed with confusion, she did not understand why they needed to keep goats, she herself was very like Jazper, she liked to hunt, to catch her prey wild and roaming free, rather than kept in a pen and slaughtered. The female had always and would always be a huntress, that was simply the end of that. She was glad that Jazper felt the same way, at least there seemed to be one other wolf who held the same opinions as she did, wanting to catch his own food, enjoying the thrill of the chase, after all the food was far less lacking than it had been in the past, even in the more harsh winter months there seemed to be enough prey to get by, the female understood that sometimes food was scarce and perhaps then the pack would need the goats then, but she herself had not experienced any hardship within the 'Souls lands. She looked up at the male again, her gaze meeting his. The male then spoke of Deuce and Dierdre, Soran nodded slowly as she looked at him, but she could not quite hide the sorrow in her eyes when he spoke of the pale female that had once been her mate, the sable lady missed her daily, missed everything about her, the way she looked, the way she spoke, how she smelt, everything. It still made her heart ache to think that she was far away somewhere, without her, when she should be with Soran, with her arms wrapped tightly around her. |
