- Saul Stormbringer - 07-23-2011
23rd july . 11.30 am . Broken Arrow Ranch . Optime Form Long strides were bouyant and bouncy as the agouti male made his way out of Trenton. He was feeling just a little bit pleased with himself this time- Wretch's leg had been set properly and while it was still very much broken, the cast he'd put on it would make sure it healed straight this time. Her flesh wounds were cleaned regularly and while they still have no idea who had attacked her, and she remained in her room once more, the male felt just a little happier that she was on the mend. He'd left Ichika a few days ago to see if he could track down Saluce- in his mind, perhaps Wretch wouldnt have been attacked if the warrior had been there. But he and Hermes had found an old friend of Sauls instead. Ever had emerged from the brush on a golden horse and they'd begun talking. Her scent had niggled at him until she'd told him what was going on in her life, and he'd finally told her she was pregnant. It had been a shock for the woman and at first she hadnt believed him. That much was obvious. But the male had persisted, asking a few delicate questions that meant her pregnancy was undisputed. The bearer of good news, or bad, he wasnt sure. But after a few snippets of conversation on each side, the male had finally admitted that he had to head back. He'd gotten back to Ichika in the early hours of the morning two das ago and had taken Hermes back to the barn to rest. The journey down into the mainland was long, for both of them. .saul-d19 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .saul-d19 p {padding:2px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .saul-d19 b {color:#D6ECF8; letter-spacing:-.2px; } .saul-d19 {background-color:#728792; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010dec/saul3.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px solid #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#1A2023; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:450px; text-align:justify; padding:10px 0px 270px 0px; } .saul-d19-border {width:454px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Jace Wolfe - 08-01-2011 omg so sorry for such a long fail wait D: This wasn't her job, not really she supposed. Her job was to oversee everything that went on of this nature but not actually participate in it, but the woman had taken time out of her schedule to assist whom ever's rank it was to look after the pack's stables, they would probably be grateful and also confused at what had done their day's work so early in the morning. She had been here before the sun had even risen, well back into the morning's hours. As a result the hybrid was covered in pieces of hay and smelled like the horses so much so that someone might even miss her presence if they chose to rely on only their noses, the onyl other scent that stuck to her was that of Temo as she had spent the night laid beside him, her own scent was pretty much covered completely. Ashen hands worked quickly and efficiently, she had known this place before she had even set foot inside the wooden walled stable, not sure how but she knew where things were kept and which horses belonged to whom, even if she did not know who the whom was. Like she knew the black and white draft horse belonged to a man called Saul as well as the young foal. All was peaceful as she went about her business, the sounds the horses was comfortable and provided a suitable background noise. Then suddenly the two horses that she knew belonged Saul began to nicker louder than the rest and move about impatiently, snorting and stamping their hooves. The ice queen made her way towards the troubled equines and managed to quiet down the larger black and white draft horse, but the little foal would not be silenced and reared onto her hind legs, striking out at the door and walls but only succeeding in gashing her front legs in several places. The filly made a soft noise of distress and Jace stroked he muzzle, "Now look what you've done to yourself aye? You're all cut up." - Saul Stormbringer - 08-02-2011
<33 No problem sweetums The latch on the fence was troubling him, as it should not have been broken. When they'd arrived her, he was certain that whomever was in charge of the stables and animals had made sure that the paddocks were safe. It wasnt like the horses were likely to run away, as far as Saul could discern they enjoyed the life they had here. But it was a little neglectful to allow the latch to remain broken. Saul straightened, cinnamon backed ears flashed forward as a commotion in the barn caught his attention. The whinnying was familiar and Saul gave a soft smile. It wouldnt have taken long for either of his horses to catch his scent and Saul knew that if he didnt go in there soon, harm would be done. Tieing the latch closed with a stray piece of string already tied to the fence post, the male moved towards the barn. He paused as an unfamiliar voice came to him, talking to nobody he could discern from the gloom. He entered the barn and saw that it was Jace, Temo's mate. She was by Arete's stall and Saul surpressed a smile. .saul-d19 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .saul-d19 p {padding:2px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .saul-d19 b {color:#D6ECF8; letter-spacing:-.2px; } .saul-d19 {background-color:#728792; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010dec/saul3.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px solid #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#1A2023; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:450px; text-align:justify; padding:10px 0px 270px 0px; } .saul-d19-border {width:454px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Jace Wolfe - 08-19-2011 meh failpost She petted the foal, saddened that the filly had now injured herself. She wondered what had set both of them off on thier frenzied fit, she turned to go get the medical kit just as a man entered the stables. She stopped and gasped, her hand flying to her heart that had just skipped a beat and then started again at double its speed. She smiled as her clairvoyance whispered to her that this was the man the horses belonged to, this was Saul Stormbringer. She grimaced at him as he mentioned the foal, a frown tugging at her lips, "Yeah they were going wild for a bit back there." She hung back as the grey and earth colored man made his way to his horses. Now that he was here to see to them, he didn't really need her, did he? She shuffled her feet restlessly and made her way over the where the bandages and other things were kept. Rummaging around she found some clean ones and some adhesive that could be used to hold the bandages, she placed them within reach of him on the stable door. "I'm Jace Wolfe and yes i noticed." A wry smile crossed her face, "You are a medic? Yes? Do you have knowledge of fixing up horses?" If he did not then Jace would have to use her meager knowings on the subject to attempt to help the poor animal. - Saul Stormbringer - 08-29-2011
Aaaaand 10 days later, you have a reply! I'm so sorry about the wait hun. He almost didnt catch the gasp that came from the females throat, although his ears were too good not to hear it. He had no idea what she was gasping about and tried not to let it go to his head. It wasnt often he elicited this kind of reaction from someone and he reminded himself firmly that she had a mate, and that it was more than likely a shocked response, nothing more. He grinned in return though, that lazy boy grin that had been with him for most of his life. Green eyes focussed on Arete as she stood in her stall, trying to support her injured leg. He was pleased he hadnt started proper training with her just yet, because it would set them back a bit. Of course, what was going to happen when she grew bigger and began really trying to get out. He was going to have to wean her off her attachment soon enough, although at the moment he was liking the attention he got from her. She was growing quickly and soon she would be out in the fields all the time, he doubted he would be able to catch up with her even if he wanted to. He turned as the female spoke and he nodded softly. .saul-d19 .ooc {font-style:italic; } .saul-d19 p {padding:2px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .saul-d19 b {color:#D6ECF8; letter-spacing:-.2px; } .saul-d19 {background-color:#728792; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/2010dec/saul3.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px solid #000000; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#1A2023; letter-spacing:.4px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; width:450px; text-align:justify; padding:10px 0px 270px 0px; } .saul-d19-border {width:454px; border:1px solid #FFFFFF; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Jace Wolfe - 09-24-2011 *cries* i'm so sorry D: 3+ It was transparent to anyone who cared to look in on them at that moment that Saul obviousy cared deeply for his horses and that they were equally attached to the man. She nodded her head at his words, and then began to explain why she was not around much, "I'm usually never in one place for too long. Ichika's a big place and my rounds usually happen at high speed just to finish them all." She was glad he knew how to treat the foal, noe poor Arete would not have to suffer her attempts at healing but she wasn't against helping him, it would be a valuble lesson for the fae in case it happened again and Saul was not to be found. "Sure." Jace slid carefully into the stable, she had no desire to be stood on by heavy equine hooves though she need not have worried for the filly was calm now and Saul was here to keep her in line. Jace obeyed the directions given to her by the medic, gripping hold of the rope to keep her still and gently lifting up the thin but strong leg, mentally comparing points of Arete's leg to her own arm and was amazed by how much she could recognise. She was glad the foal was not any bigger of holding both hr head and her leg and cleaning out her wounds and healing them would transform from a two person job into a three person job and she eyed the surrounding adult horses, "Now don't you guys be getting any funny ideas either, I ain't holding your legs up." They didn't understand what she said for the msot part but a general feeling of amusement at her rang around the stables. She huffed out a breath as snorts and whinnys surrounded her. |
