Objective: Dawali attempts to stop the attackers from getting to where Maska is hiding. He lures them away under the pretense of showing them where Maska is. Geographical setting: Somewhere just outside the village, on the northern end. Dawali hesitated. It had been an easy thought to begin with, but now he was not so certain. The faces that he knew - Savina, Vigilante - they were elsewhere. Anu had not come, no doubt she was still injured. This was a relief to the russet male. No one could see him, and no one could doubt him. At the same time, the betrayal did not impact him as much when he did not know these ones' faces. This relief confused him, for who was he betraying, really? Savina? Vigilante? Perhaps he was betraying himself, his family... he did not know. He was lost in the chaos of betrayal, injustice and deceit his life had become, and now he knew only what he must do. His obligations, they rested with Maska, with the Great Tribe. His family was there, his daughters. They were all he had left now, and the power of the entire culture he had brought up with moved his legs and his smile, his words and his body language. His tail was tucked firmly against his stomach and his ears were flat against his skull. Two Guardians were with him, and followed his lead as planned just minuted previously, when he saw the group coming in his direction. "Please." he'd said, shifty-eyed, as if he had not wanted the Guardians to hear him. "I can take you to Maska's tent." And so he'd left, and they were quickly moving away from the core of the fight, the sounds dying behind them. The further they got from the Town Hall, the safer Maska would be. p> Finally, they turned, and Dawali took a few steps backwards in his four-legged form, as Aamund drew his bow from atop his war-horse and aimed it at the attackers. Lanna remained still but her hand was on the grip of her spear, alert and ready. Dawali's ears were flat - from his discomfort or his fear? It was hard to tell them apart. He said nothing. What was there to say? Dawali just hoped he wasn't about to die at the hands of one of these strangers. #356 - Amaranth Catori - 10-18-2011
OOC creepy table for war yes? She's not attacking anyone getting ready. Feel free to PP small minor hits if need be through the thread broken bones are ok but nothing that she'd die from. Any breaks that would put her out would be nice towards the end so I can have some fun. She was out for blood and this was war. Who ever this monster was that had ruined her world she would find him and cut out his heart and serve it to her mother for the loss she had been dealing with. She had come here because her father brother and mate were. She would not stay home and idle she too would fight. But she had been separated from her mate in the fray. Now she was standing near a few others chaos around her. A wolf that seemed scared came up to the small group she was with. looking at Anann the only one she really knew. Could they trust him? did they have much of a choice. She moved herself forward. Not really caring if the rest came if the goal would be made she'd do anything. She'd avenge him, the man who taught her confidence when she had none. She felt like she hadn't gone far when the two with the man turned on the group. She snarled the sound vibrated her chest. She shifted her weight kicking her bo staff as she spun it bending down she was ready for a fight. White teeth flashed as she eyed the man backing away coward, he could dish it but couldn't take it. She wished her uncle was here he would know what to do. She felt out matched with a bow aimed at them. glancing to either side of her she looked dead ahead. Survive she chanted to herself thats all she had to do. .cat-ama-o1 b {font-weight:bold; color:#9b4242; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4a1e1e; } .cat-ama-o1 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .cat-ama-o1 {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#543737; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/jdavo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 219px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#7f5b5b; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .cat-ama-o1 p b:before { content: open-quote; } .cat-ama-o1 p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 10-20-2011
OOC:

Stand up and show me some pride
The front lines were met with little resistance as the gathered forces pushed their way into the lands of the tribe and descended upon the village, battle cries filling the air. It was there on the edge of the village that order turned to chaos as the two forces clashed together and began to divide. Anann had tried to stay together with her pack mates as best she could as the forces began to split and converge in different directions. Alder was with her, but she did not see Vigilante or Haven and so she stuck close to the young man. Though she would not have him know of her concern for him. She did not see him as one for war, though his size and strength left him capable Anann did not think he had the heart for it. Amaranth too had ended up with them it would seem and Anann was not surprised to Jazper either. Though she wasn't exactly sure at what point the dark knight had joined their band she was glad to see him regardless.
They hadn't gotten far when they were approached by a red wolf lupus whom offered to lead them to Maska. Anann had never seen the wolf before and was reluctant to follow for his words seemed too good to be true, but tossing a glance a Jazper the other male seemed to trust him and Amaranth had eagerly followed and so she too followed after the stranger.
Anann saw the trap for what it was the moment the Guardians came into their view, a deep growl growing in her chest. The archer had drawn back their bow string and Anann heard the distinct whistle of a loosed arrow. Rem charged forward at the Guardians, his armored shoulder ramming into the other horse as he bit at the archer in an attempt to dismount her and Anann parried the spear of the other as they passed. .Anannfightt01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#a48e7a; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #000000; } .Anannfightt01-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#5f4126; text-align:center;} .Anannfightt01 .toptext { color: #a48e7a; font-size:16px;margin:5px 0px 5px 0px; text-transform:uppercase; letter-spacing:4px; word-spacing:.8px;text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4a4139;text-align:center} .Anannfightt01 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 15px; margin:0px;} .Anannfightt01 {margin:0 auto; width:477px; background-color:#000000; background-image:url(http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h37 ... erfb01.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #a48e7a; padding: 0px 0px 220px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#5f4126; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #000000; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify;} .Anannfightt01-border1 {width:479px; border:2px solid #000000; margin:0 auto;} .Anannfightt01-line1 {width:450px; border-bottom:1px dotted #f7f8e6; margin:0 auto 3px auto;} </style> 300+ - Dawali Amara - 10-26-2011
Word Count » 338 :: Table by Anna! The russet male hid behind the two greater warriors, taking hesitant steps backwards to keep himself safe. Even now, he would not shift out of his four-legged form. Perhaps he had grown too accustomed to it, or was it loyalty? His instincts told him he should be out there with his medic kit, helping the wounded. It was tied to his back, but he would probably not use it. He knew his place and what he must do, and there was relief in his heart as he looked at the enemies he was facing. They did not know him. His mixed feelings and the shame that crept up on him no matter what he did was lessened by this. Even so he felt shame in feeling relief, and he knew he could never shake any of these emotions from himself. They would haunt him 'till the end - perhaps it was just until this fight. For an old male like himself, forever hindered by a leg which would not always move properly, he could easily assume that he might not make it out of this situation alive. But he would have done what was right, and that was what mattered. If he died, perhaps the Amara family name would regain some of the honor he had robbed it of. It was a dark thought, but Dawali did not shy away from it. In a situation like this, he had to be realistic. At first merely uncomfortable, he quickly started to react to the attackers' hostile postures, recognizing that they were not all glaring at Aamund and Lanna. Some of them were staring at him. Dawali gave a small snarl, showing his teeth, and took a defensive position, staying behind the superior warriors. Even though he knew he might easily die here, it was not as if he would invite it. He could only hope to injure himself if he took any of them on. It was smarter to stay behind those that knew how to wield their weapons. .free-a26 .ooc {font-style:italic; color:#000000;} .free-a26 .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal;} .free-a26 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .free-a26 b {color:#3a2c20; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .free-a26 {font-family: tahoma, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.8px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; text-align: justify; margin:0px auto; margin:5px auto; width:465px;} .free-a26 .inner{background-color:#e0f4fb; background-image:url(http://anna.sleepyglow.net/images/gifts/free-a26.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 190px 0px; border:0px solid #fff; width:465px; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; margin:0 auto;} </style>
- Amaranth Catori - 10-27-2011
OOC I'm assuming the Arrow Amaranth stood ready to go. she wasn't going to die here and she wasn't going to let her uncle down. She snarled as she looked at the small group that was going to try to kill them. Amaranth watched as anann moved on rem swift as water they charged. The whistle of a loose arrow could be heard from the archer Anann was after. Amaranth snarled as it hit her. She had set herself up for this putting herself so far ahead of the group she was a easy target. Amaranth snarled as she looked at her shoulder grabbing the arrow she snapped the shaft allowing it to remain in her to scared to pull it out. She gripped tighter to her staff and looked at the dark man next to her. He was older and hopefully far more skilled she was scared she couldn't lie. looking at the girl with the spear amaranth knew she was really to only one she could go against. Her shoulder hurt from the arrow so she swapped dominant hand and moved forward. The Aniwayian woman was scary almost war seemed second nature to her. Amaranth raised her staff ready to strike the woman to allow anann to deal with the other. She didn't want to be in anyone's way. She collided her staff with the woman's spear grunting a bit through pain. .cat-ama-o1 b {font-weight:bold; color:#9b4242; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #4a1e1e; } .cat-ama-o1 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .cat-ama-o1 {margin:0 auto; width:450px; background-color:#543737; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/jdavo.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 219px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#7f5b5b; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .cat-ama-o1 p b:before { content: open-quote; } .cat-ama-o1 p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
- Jazper Rhiannon-Knight - 10-30-2011
OOC:

Feel free to powerplay Dawali dodging or taking a little blow to the weakened hind leg. His pelt was all spikes as he hovered behind the mounted warriors, who seemed very comfortable atop their horses. He was confident that they would protect him, but he knew - if any of them came at him on foot, the horsemen might not be able to aid him. They represented a disadvantage for those on foot, but they could not move as quickly. There was imbalance in levels and power. Dawali changed between cowering and snarling, not at all certain of his position. He could only hope this distraction allowed for Maska's hiding, that their leader would slip away and not be caught. If not, well... then he had made enemies of his friends. And he had lost - the sheer numbers from the two other packs was clear indication of this. One of them, with a face like a masked racoon, swung from his horse. Dawali had a fleeting image of him in his mind, perhaps he had seen this face on one of his visits to either pack. It did not matter - the red wolf quickly realized that he was the target of the much younger male, and stepped backwards in an attempt to avoid being caught. By instinct, his teeth were bared and he felt that rush growing to bellow in his ears - just like it had that time in Halifax, when he had killed another wolf. But this time, he did not feel as justified. He dodged to the side, putting a horseman between himself and raccoon-face. The jolt of pain from his old injury was familiar, but somehow not as prominent as it usually was. The hind leg shook, but stood, much as the whole of Dawali did. .free-a26 .ooc {font-style:italic; color:#000000;} .free-a26 .wc {text-transform: uppercase; font-weight:bold; font-style:normal;} .free-a26 p {padding:0px 20px 5px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .free-a26 b {color:#3a2c20; letter-spacing:-.2px;} .free-a26 {font-family: tahoma, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.8px; word-spacing:.3px; line-height:16px; text-align: justify; margin:0px auto; margin:5px auto; width:465px;} .free-a26 .inner{background-color:#e0f4fb; background-image:url(http://anna.sleepyglow.net/images/gifts/free-a26.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:10px 0px 190px 0px; border:0px solid #fff; width:465px; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; margin:0 auto;} </style>
|
