- Itachi Lykoi - 02-19-2012
-- Gemstones clinked ineloquently within the hems of his black and crimson coat as he moved from the improved ruins of what was likely to be his future. He didn’t feel the magic toss and turn within his chest, but now he knew what he wanted included in his quiet life. Perhaps he always had known, but never acknowledged the simple desires of his careless heart. Life would be easier without strings holding him back, but as he twisted and turned at his options and their alternatives, he found that while it most definitely had a price, it would be worth it.
The scarce home he had brought China to was nothing more than one of the more recent spots he had used as a sleeping place. Almost every member of Salsola had long since picked a home they had made theirs, but Itachi had never found the need to claim something specific and real for himself. But China had brought change, and he saw no reason to resist something that seemed more and more to be some sort of blessing. He hadn’t wished her to come into his life, but she had, and he couldn’t be anything but grateful for this. But he didn’t know how she saw all this. She had run away before and could do so again.
The silver, song-less bird had remained with him for quite some time now, and had shown no visual desire to flee once more. It was her choice whether to stay or go, but he thought things were different this time around. She could choose to remain with him forever if that was her wish, and he would dedicate his future to keep her safe and happy. Unfortunately, he had already ruined something precious between them. He had pretended not to understand the question her voiceless lips had begged from him. But he had understood it, and he also knew the answer. But, it was a frightening thing, this one, simple word. It was everything.
Pale feet carried him back to the place where the two of them currently shared their nights, and it was his wish that she would be there when he arrived. .itachi-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .itachi-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .itachi-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .itachi-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... achi-1.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 100px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- China Rose Lykoi - 02-21-2012
Took a long leash with this one. Let me know if you want stuff changed <3 She awaited him, as she always did, in the small den in central Borgata Colotl. Although infrequent trips gave her a little knowledge of the surrounding area, her living nightmares kept the girl's silver wings clipped, and she never strayed far. Few others even knew of her existence in this wicked, wonderful realm - There was the dark woman, Siv, who had magic and fire. She had enthralled the songbird, and China had been building herself up to seek out the woman again, and learn more of the ancient truths she had shared. There was, of course, the other - That smooth, deep voice that she had heard arguing with Itachi in the midst of her feverish recovery. The owner of that voice was still unknown, but it had not returned here since, and thus she had lived the past moon in a strange serendipitous bubble of peace.

As he approached the sad excuse for a home, silver, blush and darling blue peeked out to observe his approach. Ebony pupils hugged by sunset irises noted the change immediately, and the strict, horizontal line of his lips softened secretly at the unanticipated change. It was likely true that the silenced songbird had not taken proper care of her exterior in a similar degree as in the past, but it hadn’t been his place or wish to bring attention to shallow matters.
But now, he thought he saw a sign of continued progress. Itachi rarely smiled, and never laughed, though there was much joy behind the steady features of his masculine face, hidden beneath the slightest smile. He ought to feel nervous, but everything about China Rose Lykoi was strange and slightly wrong in a very right way. He didn’t know how he was supposed to feel around her. But the thought of the bird running away was one he couldn’t favour despite his attempts to obtain objectivity about the two of them. Once, when they had touched for the very first time, there had been fire. It was very different now, though that same fire still existed, deep inside where he suspected his heart could be.
They weren’t a true couple in any sense, but Itachi’s lone goal was to try to take care of her. She could run if she willed, but his opinions about this messy matter had been granted much time to develop over the last year. It had turned out he wasn’t untouchable as he had previously thought. It was time for him too to blossom in his own sense, if she remained here. Her continued existence would bring tremendous change. As he came closer to the entrance, pale fingers reached with the unchained desire to touch her freshly cut hair. A greeting and acknowledgement of promising change. .itachi-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .itachi-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .itachi-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .itachi-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... achi-1.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 100px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- China Rose Lykoi - 03-04-2012
Wordcount: + 3 Rounded pupils drank him in, thirsty for the sight of him. She had grown so terribly dependent on the man - For company, for physical and mental sustenance. It was surely unhealthy the way she craved him, the way that her entire being had molded itself about his existence. But in this world there was no plastic therapist to tear apart her fragile happiness, no false taboo in which to fester guilt. Wrong though their relationship may have been, being with Itachi was the only thing that could and would ever make China feel right, in the way she so desperately deserved.

It seemed to him that her presence had existed in his life always. Did that make these foolish dreams and desires of him worthwhile though? It was tremendously difficult to interpret his own feelings, for he so rarely found that he had any.
The touch of her nearly forgotten voice reached sensitive audits, and almost tempted forth a smile on his barely curled lips. Itachi judged this to be a sign of healthy recovery, though found it strange that keeping her here could allow her health to improve. ”China.” He was not a creature of sunlight and summer as she was, and would have found it much more natural for her to wilt in his care. The sun and the moon couldn’t dwell on top of a clear sky simultaneously for more than a few, sparse moments.
His quiet songbird retreated back into the depths of the home that he had shared with her for some time though. He remained still for a few more moments, considering the amount of trouble that was building up behind his back. It was about time the rockslide fall into motion. He wanted her to be safe here, but she wasn’t. But Itachi did not desire to judge Sirius to be a cruel liar. His King should know who this young female was.
Crouching down by the entrance of what should no longer be their residence, pale lids fell down to partly obscure the colourful harmony of his unique irises. China seemed to think this to be an ordinary day –why wouldn’t she—but he was not here to stay. He had come to get her. The golden Lykoi didn’t know how she would react to the mediocre sight that would meet her, but he knew he hoped for a smile. ”I'd like to show you something.” Soft tones expressed only a hopeful request. .itachi-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .itachi-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .itachi-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .itachi-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... achi-1.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 100px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- China Rose Lykoi - 04-01-2012
Wordcount: + 3 To hear her name fall from his gilded maw, in that soft, gentle voice she so adored, was enough to bring a sweet smile to the girl's delicate features. She was a simple creature, by no stretch of the imagination overly intelligent, nor crafty, nor really very good at keeping herself alive. Some ancient survivalist instincts had been bred out of her, or forced out of her - By lineage, by individuality, or perhaps by continual influence of drugs. The method mattered not. Merely, China was not a creature fit for a hard existence, and nor would she be able to survive one. The fragile existence she currently had with Itachi offered just the right amount of nurturing and security for her to bloom; Like a pale flower turning its head, at last, towards the golden sun. She could never remember a time she felt happier, or more at peace - Yes, the terrors came, and lingered sometimes beneath her eyelids, but they always went. Besides, she could no longer remember a time when they hadn't existed in the first place.

Gilded pelt almost bristled at her approach from darkness into the light. A creature such as she should never have to be hidden away. It was his fault for taking her away and placing her away from the world. It wasn’t fair, and he knew this. But this was the time to make amends, and he could everything so clearly now. A blind man wouldn’t know what he lacked unless he knew what it was to see. It was a breath-taking experience in itself.
Her sweet hands folded together, fidgeting. What caused her to feel uncomfortable? Pale hands moved with the intention to cup her blushing fingers. Sunset eyes wished to linger there, but travelled up to ponder at that perfect smile. The corners of his lips responded, unconsciously, and he would never know. Perhaps his need for touch was carried by the underlying fear to lose her to the waste. He had never wanted to become attached, but he didn’t resist her chains.
”Come with me,” pleasantly curved lips pleaded, as his hands lightly pulled at hers. There wasn’t much more he could say at this stage. He didn’t know if this would be pleasant or dreadful for her. Winged creatures weren’t meant to be locked away, but it wasn’t his intention to keep her imprisoned. It had to be her choice. His feet directed them to the west, deeper into the lands, where a future possibly existed. .itachi-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .itachi-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .itachi-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .itachi-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... achi-1.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 100px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- China Rose Lykoi - 04-11-2012
Wordcount: + 3 He was still an enigma to her - The girl had no idea what thoughts went on beyond those entrancing eyes of warm blood and royal magenta. Her conscience was not built for riddles such as these; She was content to allow him his secrets. That was how it had always been, and would always be, for as long as he cared enough to keep her alive.

Never would he attempt to take anything from this silvery creature with force, but it seemed she alone was able to offer a sense of concrete purpose in his life. He had not anticipated developing dependence on another, but her soul had entrapped him from the moment their eyes had engaged, daytime blue against sunset. It made him want to strive to become something better, and he wished to make her an offer that perhaps, perhaps could coerce her into wishing to remain. He didn’t dare to expect her to stay once her wings were mended enough to take flight. It was the closest he had come to fear.
Words didn’t have to crowd the tranquillity that surrounded them as he brought her into the remains of another species’ world. When he reached the area that he had claimed as his earlier this very day, his fingers lightly squeezed hers. Scarlet eyes spiced with traces of purple finally lifted to hers, wondering what she saw. Their eyes saw two different worlds, and he didn’t know what she would make of this. ”This can be yours, if you want it.” Now, his uncertainty became prominent, and he found the sensation alien.
He stepped past the crumbled stone walls and looked to the left, where a taller skeleton of what had most likely been some sort of room once upon a time. It lacked a secure roof, which wouldn’t be difficult to arrange. There was more space—and more importantly, this area lay in the heart of Salsola’s Kingdom. It was difficult to imagine that a violent intruder would ever have what it took to reach these parts. ”I want my home to be yours.” It was difficult to express his emotion and desire into words. He didn’t know the reasons why she clung to him as he did to her. He didn’t want it to be out of simple necessity.
He did remember the soundless question she had asked him, and he knew his answer. .itachi-x01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#000000; letter-spacing:1px; } .itachi-x01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .itachi-x01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .itachi-x01 {margin:0px auto; width:450px; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i1047.photobucket.com/albums/b47 ... achi-1.png); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 10px 0px 100px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- China Rose Lykoi - 05-23-2012
I suuuuuuck. The approached a construction, half reclaimed by the wilderness around them. The field grew up and about the decomposed hut, slowly swallowing the crude and harsh angles that humanity had made, making the architecture softer, more organic. A strange fluttering began in her stomach as the pair approached the little dwelling, and her hand gripped tighter to Itachi's. She knew, before he even voiced it, before he even drew breath for words; Startled eyes, round and full of a purer universe, gazed up at the little home he had chosen for them.
