- Lilin Soulstorm - 03-29-2012
(326) <3 Miyu. Dated... today? Moonstone Lakes - Afternoon - Optime. The last few weeks had been a whirlwind of activity; none of which had been enjoyable. With her landlord's unexpected departure came a series of unfortunate events. Having to move all of her belongings out of the Hilsburn guest house was the biggest task at hand. Not that she owned much; the quantity of items wasn't the problematic issue. The memories attached to the the few belongings she did own were, on the other hand, quite haunting in a way. Pessimism normally wasn't her cup of tea but given the recent circumstances, Lilin couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever see Barrett again. Saul had scouted out the shoreline beforehand and taken the initiative to build a quaint little hut amongst some of the smallest lakes. Remnants of long dead rural communities were evident surrounding the biggest bodies of water, especially in vast clearings. None of the structures were safe enough to live in though, according to her cousin. Some of them stood in a somewhat crooked stance, repelling anyone from seeking shelter within. On the other hand, some of the safest-looking ones constituted the core of her scavenging efforts on this ironically sunny afternoon. She needed some time to think, away from the general anxiety surrounding the Hilsburn property. There was no reason why she could not spend this precious time doing something productive - perhaps she'd come across trinkets or tools of interest. With all the labouring Saul had been preoccupied with as of late, it wouldn't have surprised her if he actually needed extra instruments. He wasn't the kind of man to send others on errands for him but she had a good knowledge of what could be useful to him after watching Barry work and tend to his property. Halting before the first standing shack out of three, the two-toned loner took the liberty of peeking through the broken glass that had, at one point in time, fully covered the front window. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 03-31-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 04-11-2012
(286) This is going to be... awkward. XD For a fleeting moment, her attention diverted to the broken shards littering the wooden window sill turned green with nature's contribution. As one of her fingers ran across the soft surface of a shard, analyzing the irregularities in its jagged edges; she couldn't help but associate the coarseness of her personality to the translucent object resting lightly in the palm of her hand. Barrels of different sizes were noticeable from where she stood, giving her one more reason to enter the decrepit building. It was relatively safe to assume it had once upon a time served as a storage of some sort, if not to humans then at least to other Luperci. Lilin was caught off guard when an unfamiliar aroma imposed itself without invitation. She stood immobile, dichotomous receivers pricked and alert. Faint sounds could be perceived, assumably accompanying the distinct perfume growing in potency with every passing moment. It was foreign in origin and relatively close in proximity; near enough for a silhouette to have materialized at the other end of the dirt road. Another female was treading warily, noticeably quite similar in size. Judging by the stranger's cautious walk and her shortened tail; something she subconsciously perceived as a weakness even from afar, Lilin presumptively felt safe enough to make her presence known. Her introduction was quite unconventional: the Soulstorm heir allowed the shard to slip from her loose grip, purposely causing glass to meet with cobblestone in a rather indiscreet manner. It shattered at her feet, resounding tenfold in the ghost town. Her gaze did not falter from her point of interest though; Mediterranean blue irises were glued to the approaching shadow, awaiting a reaction. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 04-16-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 04-19-2012
(245) -amused- :> There was a chain reaction in response to the triggered ruckus; the stranger went through a distinct sequence, eliciting both caution and a healthy dose of animosity. Admittedly, she had expected a milder response. Although she did not counter immediately with outright aggression, the sight of the other female's dentition instinctively coaxed a similar reaction out of Soulstorm heir; a little more temperate in nature but a clear warning that she too, could sink her incisors into flesh. The skin atop her muzzle crinkled into folds, revealing pearly whites and healthy salmon-colored gums. Given her young age, being more inexperienced than her opponent was a definite possibility but her pride could go a long way. Tempers calmed with the eventual realization that neither would explicitly bring harm upon the other without excessive provocation. The instance taken to memorize one another’s appearance was mutual and timed reciprocally. Viridian irises absorbed the striking blue of her rival's orbs, also noting the similarities they shared in terms of coloration. As her nerves settled gradually, Lilin found herself quite taken by the chocolate loner’s distinct traits. However, it wasn’t long before said awe was shattered with a demand that enticed a disgruntled snort out of her. Whoever this woman was, her claim on these shacks was nil; not even the faintest trace of her scent could be discerned and that was reason enough not to cooperate. “Who’s asking?” she countered haughtily, bristly tail stiff with unyielding willpower. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 05-02-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 05-11-2012
(262) :> A multitude of possible scenarios defiled before her; Lilin couldn't help but anticipate foul play, seeing as both females seemingly possessed quite a temperament. At least, that's what she'd assumed until the mocha femme diverted her eyes away. Only briefly did she feel a tinge of satisfaction; triggered mainly by the unexpected surrender. But her arrogance faded as quickly as it had come. There was nothing truly satisfying about any of this. Au contraire, perhaps this other woman was the better person for avoiding a downward spiral of unecessary drama. Her own posture diminished in intensity, reflecting the loner's grouchy demeanor. ''Let me guess, not a people person?'' she quipped, sidestepping to avoid being cornered between broken glass and the decrepit foundation. Her statement hadn't been meant as a double entendre; being a loner herself and not exactly a social person, Lilin could somewhat relate. The silence between them had been brief; a time during which Lilin debated whether to leave or continue her little expedition. Her moment of reflection should have been spent bracing herself for a forthcoming blow instead, because the older female's introduction was an affliction in itself. While she'd never met her sire nor her grandmother; she knew their names and that was plenty enough to make the connection. Their blatant similarities were more than mere coincidences. ''Are you his first-born?'' she questioned carefully, acknowledging the age difference between them. Lilin wasn't sure how many offsprings he had, but the approximate time period of his death suggested that she came from one of the last litters. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 05-14-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 05-22-2012
(268) im an ass for making you wait ;; Appropriate sarcasm was always refreshing. She cracked a smile when Colibri provided a response to her mocking statement. It didn't seem like the older femme had gotten offended at all and if she was, it did not show. Despite first impressions, she wasn't as tightly wound as Lilin had suspected. The lightening atmosphere turned solemn with the widening of her relative's piercing blue eyes. Her stammered acquiescence was unneeded at that point; Lilin already knew the identity of the woman she was conversing with. The Soulstorm heir was entirely responsible for the sudden mood shift among the duo, and she assumed accountability by clarifying her position in the Soul family tree. Withholding the truth would not be fair. ''I'm one of his too, yes.'' she admitted with a soft nod of her head, not quite understanding what it meant to be one of Haku Soul's daughters; unlike her half-sibling, who'd personally taken an active role in the nightmare their sire had conceived. ''My name's Lilin- Lilin Soulstorm.'' Her surname was generally left unsaid but given the way Colibri had introduced herself, she could only return the formality. Where did they go from here? Surely they couldn't part ways and pretend they'd nevet met. They couldn't very well hug it out and act like long lost sisters either. Her newfound interest was obvious; the mediterranean blue of her irises were bright with hope and a tinge of hesitance. ''You're the first immediate Soul relative I've met. I'm close to my mother's family, the Stormbringers. But anyone related to Haku is a bit of a mystery to me.'' #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 05-24-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 06-02-2012
(327) psssh. tell me about it. I never get to catch up. XD “How many?” How many bastard children had he sired? Lilin couldn’t help the alteration in her bearing – the slight droop of her narrow shoulders and the worry of her brow made her frustration blatantly obvious. She had no intention of hiding her disenchantment. Half-siblings were a bittersweet blessing; finding Colibri had been a pleasant surprise and she already appreciated the feel of having a sister, but her individuality felt trampled by the existence of others. What person would want to be a peon in an army of illegitimate, unwanted replicas of a dead man? Her expression remained the same when it was revealed that he’d hated children in his lifetime. She herself did not particularly feel at ease around little ones; whether said apprehension stemmed from a general lack of contact with them or something else, she couldn’t say. Seeing as she’d never nurtured or loved a child before, it was hard to provide Colibri with an appropriate reaction. “My mother didn’t keep me from him out of love. I suspect she was ashamed. He wasn’t her first choice,” she countered with a sardonic smile, recalling Lillith’s relentless whining about how things should have been different; how Ahren de le Poer should have been hers. “She’s no saint either.” Lilin left it at that, still visibly offended by their recent brawl in the ruins of the old Azathoth church. The Soulstorm heir had narrowly escaped a life of abuse at the hands of her sire, only to endure a similar fate in the end. Same shit; different executioner. Losing her tail had fortunately never been one of her punishments. “Why did he do that to you?” Her inquiry escaped through parted lips, agape with disbelief. Lilin was someone who valued her own physical appearance; she was virtually unscathed, aside from a few minor scars. She couldn’t imagine living through circumstances akin to her newfound sister’s haunting past. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 06-05-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 06-11-2012
(371) Three additional names to the list and an extra litter of unknown proportions- more siblings than she'd cared to imagine, especially since there was plenty of room for fallacies. Colibri's knowledge was probably the closest she'd ever get to understanding the fundamentals of the Soul family, but it was in not absolute. How many others were there? She could always pay Ulilohi a visit and ask about remaining relatives; the Aniwayan leader would surely know. Part of her knew, however, that she had no intention of doing that. In this particular case, Lilin appreciated being left in the dark where her ignorance made it a comfortable place to hide from the truth. She refrained from commenting altogether, choosing a silent nod instead. In a matter of minutes, her unfounded pride in her sire's bloodline had morphed into indifference. Her desire to feel unique had been trampled over. The harsh reality of it all had nothing to do with her newfound sister though. Colibri spoke and she listened, her interest unwavering as more information was openly laid out before her. The Soulstorm heir couldn't fathom what Haku had done to her older sister, although she assumed it was similar to the emotional scarring she'd personally suffered at the hands of her matriarch. Perhaps even worse- Coli's personality provided a good insight of past hardships she'd gone through ''That took a lot of courage,'' she offered, her features softening in hopes of dispensing some form of praise. It was an admirable thing to do - sacrificing one's own sanity to save strangers. Lilin herself didn't know if she would have done the same. "You weren't a deserter if you never gave him your allegiance to begin with." Her half-sibling's out-loud musings, especially the physical comparison between herself and their sire, captured Lilin's attention with ease. Absent-mindedly, she found herself attempting to picture him and not Coli, mentally replacing the loner's feminine features with rough, masculine attributes. "And what about now? Do you even have a place to call home or are you just passing through?" Would they see each other again after this day? Lilin couldn't help but fear her eldest sibling would disappear just as easily and unexpectedly as she'd appeared. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 06-13-2012

- Lilin Soulstorm - 07-03-2012
(476) Fade to black with your reply maybe, darling? I want a more recent thread ;>> Colibri was set in her ways - there would be no swaying of her opinions anytime soon, this she knew and understood. It was dangerous for the Soulstorm heir to tread such ground in the first place; she was very badly placed to offer insight and comfort on past memories - they had morphed into nightmares and they would haunt her eldest sibling now and forever. Lilin refrained from commenting further, not wanting to come off as a hypocrite. Up until now, she hadn't known the extent of their sire's madness - what he'd done, the pain he'd inflicted on his own family. Up until this day, knowing that Haku Soul had been disliked by the public had pleased her in a way: his ruthlessness had meant strength and leadership, qualities she indeed sought to have within her immediate bloodline. She, however, couldn't withstand seeing the frail woman before her. She was flesh and blood. Over the last several months, Lilin had acquired a vague sense of pride when it came to family - it had started with Barrett and blossomed into something bigger with Saul and the rest of their family's arrival. She knew very little about Colibri but her demeanor indicated that she had not deserved such despicable abuse; especially not at the hands of the madman they called father. The dichotomous female merely nodded once more, mediterranean orbs riveted to the ground as her half-sibling explained that she had no intentions of running with a pack. Perhaps Lili's disappointment was unjustified, seeing as she officially had no pack to call her own either but at least she had a place to call home - that alone was a comforting notion. Colibri, on the other hand, was alone and at the mercy of danger. ''I understand. My cousins and I - we set up camp by the Moonstone Lakes. Maybe you can drop in sometime,'' she suggested with a shrug of her shoulders, not wanting to pressure the older woman into doing something she might not want to do. Lilin was sure her invitation would signify the end of their encounter when her newfound relative's plan perturbed their conversation. Blue irises remained plastered to Colibri's face throughout the whole shifting process, awe catapulting her into a stunned state of mind. Her feet remained planted firmly in place as she wordlessly examined the new entity standing before her; bulky and threatening, the exact opposite of what her sibling appeared to be on the inside. Lilin often resorted to the same stoic, emotionless expression in times of vulnerability. This time, however, she allowed unabashed compassion to guide her forward; close enough to reach out, in hopes of gently running her fingers through her sibling's thick, unruly mane. Her touch would hopefully be interpreted adequately and provide well-needed comfort. ''Thank you,'' she murmured finally, genuinely grateful for this opportunity. #lillin-1 .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:arial, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #lillin-1 b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: arial, serif; font-size: 11px; }. #lillin-1 u { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dotted #000000; } #lillin-1 b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #lillin-1 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} #lillin-1 {margin:0px auto; width:80%; background-color:none; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/ijCRS.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:none; padding: 80px 0px 0px 0px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#111111; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Colibri Haki - 07-05-2012
