<style> .repair { font-family:georgia; size:12px;} </style>
- Dalgina Wolfe-Denahlii - 09-26-2012
out of character The brisk woman quite frankly scared Dalgina. It wasn't anything she did. She was just so large, and her eyes appeared rather sharp. Dalgina kept to herself while they were organized for clearing things away. Ovi had asked if he could help pull stuff away, and had suffered the humiliation of being fit with a harness so he could pull the larger things away, the same as a horse. Dalgina had asked him if he was sure about it, but Ovi had been adamant about helping and had pushed away her concerns. Walking through Dalgina picked up various bits of wood, and carefully collected pieces of glass. She heaped them onto the skid Ovi pulled as they walked through, Dalgina working on grabbing the more dangerous small parts. She couldn't move anything too large, but Ovi could. A large board was added to his harness, the tiger moving forwards until he reached a spot and carefully twisted it to dump it into a pile. Then they headed back and collected more. <style type="text/css"> .dalummg .space {float:right; height:250px; width:350px;} .dalummg b {font-weight:bold; color:#fffeaf; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow:#495651 1px 1px 2px;} .dalummg b:before { content: open-quote; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 15px; } .dalummg b:after { content: close-quote; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 15px; } .dalummg p {padding:5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:0px;} .dalummg {margin:0px auto; width:95%; max-width:700px; min-width:500px; background-color:#b9d9cc; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/dGkFz.png); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #495651; padding:5px 0px 5px 0px; font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#495651; line-height:16px; border-radius:10px;} .dalummg .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} </style>
- Adrian Kido - 09-26-2012
Adrian had nodded to Dalgina and her tiger when he had walked by and he tried smiling at the visiting wolf, but she hadn't shown him any sign of outward warmth in return. He was a tiny bit put off by it, but decided to ignore it. He was grateful that they travelers had agreed to help them, but he wasn't too sure how they felt about it. Adrian resolved himself just to help with what he could, which basically meant cleaning, and try to think of ways he could help the pack. Adrian hated being useless. And that was how he felt. Adrian bent down and gathered random bits of debris, some wood and other rubble. When Adrian had gathered as much as he could carry he would go and add it to the pile, before returning to get more. It went on like that for a while, everyone working in mutual silence. They had a lot to do, not just the shops, so they would all be there for a while. She spied some intact wooden boards and reusable stones from the roof and walls of one of the shops as well as some other small items that had been displaced that needed gathering up. Looking to her pack mates she pointed out the boards and stones and the miscellaneous items (a wind chime, a large, tangled, slightly damp piece of weathered fabric that appeared to be from the overhang of a shop's doorway, a wooden sculpture, unbroken planting pots that had simply been knocked over but not shattered, and what looked potentially like a lightly rain damaged piece of paper with a painting on it that had gotten stuck in some bushes). "Some of this stuff could possibly be reused or saved I think. If we come across anything that might be salvageable, I think we should make a pile over on the porch of that shop so we can sort it out later on." She suggested and gestured to the empty shop she referred to. Smiling then, feeling useful, she then set to work near Dalgina, kneeling and picking up the shards of glass and gathering the bits into her palm. She was sure to be careful not to cut herself on the sharp edges. It was important to get the shattered panes cleaned up so that no one would step on the shards and injure themselves. It would take a while to clear away the brush and debris the storm left behind, but the repair work provided a perfect opportunity to bring the pack closer together through teamwork. - Dalgina Wolfe-Denahlii - 09-28-2012
out of character The pile was growing slowly. It was hard working through it. Dalgina was glad that Ovi was being such a good sport about it. It didn't look like it was easy. Not only was he pulling heavy materials, but he also was being fairly patient about letting things be added to the pile. A small smile slipped over her face as Adrian joined in, the blunt female moving over to help him carry some of the heavier branches that had been knocked about. They worked fairly steadily over the area, but there was damage to the buildings. Dalgina might be able to help a little, but she was no carver. Her life had always been on the more whimsical side of things, dabbling in art and beauty, rather than the more practical things she should have cared for. Now she was paying for it, unable to truly help her pack. She stroked Tehu's feathers, and glanced over the area again before speaking softly to Ovi, and starting to sort what was salvageable and what wasn't as the cowgirl had said. <style type="text/css"> .dalummg .space {float:right; height:250px; width:350px;} .dalummg b {font-weight:bold; color:#fffeaf; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow:#495651 1px 1px 2px;} .dalummg b:before { content: open-quote; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 15px; } .dalummg b:after { content: close-quote; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 15px; } .dalummg p {padding:5px 15px; margin:0px; text-indent:0px;} .dalummg {margin:0px auto; width:95%; max-width:700px; min-width:500px; background-color:#b9d9cc; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/dGkFz.png); background-position:top right; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #495651; padding:5px 0px 5px 0px; font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#495651; line-height:16px; border-radius:10px;} .dalummg .ooc {font-style:italic; font-size:11px; text-align:center;} </style>
|
