- Iskata Sadira - 12-02-2008 Dec 3rd. The woman had been returned to her cottage though in her mind she wasn't for sure of that. She'd laid outside on the porch ignoring the numbing cold that whipped across her pelt. Deuce hadn't said anything but the Matriarch already knew the extent of damage the bear had done, not alone of course. She would never had been mauled in the first place of Ahren hadn't stepped in to prevent her escape to safety. She'd left that part out, she'd left everything out to be exact. Deuce already had realized a bear had been the cause of her injuries and Iskata had let it be. The banadges that covered her body were nice for one thing, atleast the world wasn't forced to see the damage the beast had done to her silvery gold pelt. The ones Deuce had placed over her once sky orbs were pointless, Iskata's eyesight was gone and she didn't even know where she belonged anymore. Her ears were pinned back against her skull as she ignored the whimpering of the last remaining pup from her litter. The child could be fed meat though she still needed milk. The woman was too weak of body and soul to tend to the feedings and she knew that her son had taken up the duties until Deuce had her litter, giving the youngest Sadira milk from the lifestock out in the pasture. Iskata should have been curled up by the fire with the small hybrid by her side atleast but her own sorrows and pains were keeping her out in the cold harsh winds. Everything seemed to be falling through her paws just at the top of her game. She'd never been happier than the time she'd been spending with her pack lately.. but after the accident she'd pulled herself away from the center of things, it wasn't like she could even assist in a damn thing anyways. Pink tinted tears seeped through the bandages as she was faced with the truth, there wasn't anywhere left for her as a leader of their pack what could a blind cripple do to defend her people, what could she do when a stranger came calling. She was worthless, the weakest link. - Soran Aatte - 12-15-2008

- Iskata Sadira - 12-15-2008 The winds that whipped across their lands brought her all kinds of news, from the fact that the cattle were well and content in the field, that the half wild horses were nervous, their nickering calls strong as they moved across the padlock, as well there seemed to be the scent of another on the way. She raised her head as the scent crossed her muzzle and before she could even stop herself she opened her eyes and tried to catch sight of the lady. Her shoulders sagged as she was brought to realize once more that she couldn't see anylonger. A bitter little thought crossed her mind, wondering how long it was going to take before she stopped trying to see what was right before her.. before it wasn't ingrained behavior. She'd never had to unlearn something and she wasn't sure if she was ready to try. Her mind had drawn her offtrack of the fact that she knew someone was there but before she could even attempt to try and figure out who was there in the snow a voice called out. Iskata relaxed slightly as she nudged the puppy back under the blankets that had been left there. She knew that Zana should be outside but no one else was home to watch after her so it seemed the mother actually had to play her part though there was little she could do to help the child if anything happened. She shook her head after a moment in answer to the lady she couldn't see. "No..." she said. The answer to both question. She obviously wasn't alright but there was nothing she could do either. Iskata tilted her head to the side and asked quietly. "What are you doing here?" She had no real clue who the woman was, the scent was one she knew but there was no face to place it with and her memory wasn't strong enough to work off one sense alone. She hated these new changes in her life and how helpless they made her feel. She only hoped that the woman wasn't one that in the past she had hoped she'd never meet again. |
