- Anselm de le Poer - 09-22-2009 [html] http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad34 ... mebomb.png); background-repeat:no-repeat; padding-top:260px; background-position:top center; background-color:#000000; text-align:justify; font-family:tahoma; font-size:11px; color:#CA2334; line-height:16px"> Anselm huffed as the wolf limped away, his gait slowing to a lazy, almost disinterested walk. He visibly grew alert and hastened his steps, however, when a smaller, quite young boy he couldn't identify bolted past to partake in the festivities. He winced as the wolf sought to alleviate his frustration by going for the easiest target: Coward. Fortunately, Kaena was on the trespasser in a heartbeat, and here he got to experience a good dose of that maternal fury only women could cook up. Though the boy did not necessarily look like one of her blood children, he had caught the woman's scent sticking steadfast to his coat as he'd run past. Given Ryan (who was absent, he thought with a frown) already had Valkyrie (also missing), and Kaena was obviously experienced in raising children, it seemed logical to assume that she'd taken him under her wing. Now that Mason was "secure," it seemed like their fun could begin again--well, perhaps not. Two of their younger clan mates seemingly materialised out of nowhere and put an end to Bastardo's vandalism once and for all: one was a wolfish looking girl he knew by scent but not by feature, and the second Ezekiel. Gabriel approached the fallen wolf and Anselm found his paws carrying him closer as well--though he didn't realise it, his dark-tipped tail was swaying quite merrily behind him. They had vanquished their enemy; they had made their stance on such insolence clear. The Caelum felt a strong sense of unity with the rest of the clan just then, as well as a general feeling of contentment and inner tranquillity. The wolf had had him reeling for weeks now, and though he was all too eager to obsessively patrol their borders in search of the elusive bastard, he was glad to have this case closed. Gabriel addressed their newest Hydra, and Anselm simply looked on. Catching the Aquila's eye he offered a triumphant grin that could perhaps be described more appropriately as a smirk. With that and not a single word, he offered a bow of his head before grabbing the still warm carcass by one limb with his teeth and beginning to haul it away. Their chase had brought them well into their territory, but this guy had to be strung up on the border. Once he found somewhere appropriate, he would shift and make the extra effort to find a bigger, thicker branch than most of the other skulls rested upon and drive it into the ground--this one was personal, and it was as much a trophy for the clan as it was a reminder to those that dared to cross Inferni. - Mason Alexandre Hesiod - 09-27-2009 [html] http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j19/S ... ranges.png); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat; width:300px; border:1px #000000 solid; font-size: 10px; line-height: 12px;"> Mason was far from paralyzed from fear, but shock immobilized him for a crystalline moment. Then suddenly, Kaena was thundering toward the pair with vengeance written all over her scarred features. The Inferni Tirones Minor was not in the jaws of the intruder for long. Kaena's wicked sharp teeth exacted vengeance on Mason's attacker. The boy recovered and moved out of the way, knowing for now that he was useless.

Pride and an odd sense of embarrassment flushed through the young hybrid when the Aquila addressed her and announced a jump further up in the hierarchy. She flushed slightly with happiness though trying to hide her excitement. A glance was given to Kaena as if searching for reassurance of her deed, and the flash of pride in her grandmother’s eyes made her heart beat stronger, flushing thick happiness and contentment through the teenager’s body. It almost overshadowed the fact that Jael was not present. He too had left her behind. She was certain of it now. She was all alone here. First to arrive, last one remaining. Her family was here though. She should not feel lonely. Was she not where she belonged? Crimson eyes took in those around her and finally settled on her doggish looking uncle. A smile danced on her lips when she gave him a respectful bow. ”Thank you.”. The chase and kill was over, and as the still unknown wolfish man started to drag the body away, the young Lykoi girl took a few steps towards him, wanting to follow. She wanted a piece of that flesh for her lovelies. After a moment of clear hesitation she decided to follow, intent on requesting just a piece of flesh so that her little rodents would know which flesh to seek and devour the next time she let them loose. |
