He'd discovered this after the few hours he'd spent up here reading to Amata a few weeks ago on that empty night. The happy memory of the time he'd spent with his girl made the place comfortable and special to him. In the daytime, there was relatively little traffic up here because everyone was either downstairs or outside of the Manor. It wasn't that he was avoiding company (which would have been the case several months ago, actually), but that he didn't want to get in anyone's way while he relaxed with a book or his CD player. There was something unsettling about trying to read or listen to music while another Crimson Dreams wolf likewise tried to do their own thing around him.

Sorry about the wait love. Just managed to survive the first day of school Today was a lazy day. He had been up late thinking to much for his own good, pacing around his room, reading books for advice and finding nothing of use. Now he lay sprawled across his bed staring blankly at his crimson room and the pale furniture he rarely used as of late. His ears twitched with sounds from the manor. Wolves having a snack in the kitchen or wandering in the library aimlessly. His face was blank, just staring out of golden eyes and seemingly waiting. His face twisting from a frown to a sideways smile as he thought of Ghita. She was gone now but he couldn't help but keep the image of her waking up beside him, in a strange place. She must have felt so horrible waking up with what little memory she had left of the night before. He rolled onto his back with a grunt. He was a bad person. His thoughts where quickly interrupted by an all too familiar scent. His body seemed to focus completly on the hall just outside the door. Amata would be long gone from her dream world by now leaving the other male with no reason to be on the second floor. Obviously the other male had found somewhere comfortable between the stairs and the hall, but not a room. His curiosity got the better of the large warrior as he finally forced himself to stand on his feet and move his weight forward. Opening the door he quickly spotted the white male slightly up the hall. Closing the door behind him he dragging himself over to to his pack mate. Dragging his back along the wall he thudded down beside him. "Hey Kansas." He mumbled. His golden eyes stared at the contraption on his ears that led down to a container of sorts. "What you got there?" He asked a meek forced smile on his face. - Kansas Sadira - 09-19-2009 [html] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/ ... sasban.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> 300 + About three of the tracks on the CD were ruined, nothing but a few guitar chords and some drums, skipped sporadically so that there really was no use listening to them. He was lucky that it was at the beginning of one of these broken tracks that Kansas heard the soft thud of someone sinking down beside him. He started, clumsily scrambling to remove the headphones from his ears. If he hadn't been listening to one of the "bad" songs, he wouldn't have heard Jazper's words.

It would have shocked himself too if he hadn't been in such a melancholy mood. He just didn't feel like taking the effort to avoid someone who really didn't deserve to be avoided. Sure, Kansas had a better life then him by far but how did that make him different then Savina? She had everything the white male had and yet he was completely dedicated and loyal to his leader. Perhaps it was the idea that another male had something he wanted, plain jealousy, or perhaps it was much more such as Jazper's disliking towards any other male that had everything he rightfully deserved as the eldest and only son of an alpha and as a wolf who took on many alpha qualities. He was stronger and bigger then Kansas, he had more experiences with the bad times, he could read and write, was musically and athletically talented. He should be the one with the family. Today was different though, his energy was mellow and he just wanted to go with the flow of things, maybe get last night out of his head. She was so perfect, so bloody perfect it hurt. She probably hated him for letting them both drink to much, for letting it go to far. It was his fault, if only he hadn't taken out that drink to calm his nerves. Kansas' words brought him back to the hall, the eerie silence of the manor. His ears perked at the mention of music and the machine that the other male held. His interest automatically switched to the present as the device was explained to him and then the contraption the white male had over his ears was passed into his own ebony hands. He stared at it for a moment then awkwardly placed the headphones over his ears feeling rather silly. A smile burst onto his lips as he pictured himself in the headdress. Kansas' hesitation lost on his own growing excitement. - Kansas Sadira - 10-13-2009 [html] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/ ... sasban.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> Kansas knew Jazper was jealous of him. At first, he thought it had only been because of his little ones, and he understood the charcoal wolf's rejection of him on the grounds that he'd been lucky enough to have three beautiful puppies. That Jazper had lost his mate and unborn children along with her was enough to make Kansas cry, especially since he himself had something to do with the Colonel's misery. But now that some time had passed and the Rhiannon-Knight boy still acted resentful, Kansas had a feeling that it wasn't just that he had Cambria, Gotham, and Amata. It was the entire world that he possessed, in his neat little easygoing corner. Of course, he didn't see it that way. But perhaps Jazper did.

D: < *hands pretty post in a pretty ribbon* soorrryyysss The white male intimidated him sometimes, Not for any reason really, but because he seemed to have more experience in the world of regular life. The ebony male was scared he would look silly, or out of place and Kansas would see that he wasn't as in control as he may appear sometimes. Of course, the last time Kansas has seen him one on one Jazper had freaked out at him, not really the most graceful way to handle things. Still, Jazper had a shy side, a side that craved praise. He wanted everyone to love him and compliment him, probably a result of not having a steady parent to love and praise him as a child. He had tried so hard to impress Lucifer, yet he was still fatherless. The only way to get attention between him and all of his adoptive siblings was to act out or do something truly worthy of praise. As an adult he still wanted to be told it was okay, that he was doing a good job. He was after all a fairly good looking male, he had a nice build and was a good provider for the pack. As Kansas scooted towards him he grimaced a smile awkwardly. It was so weird to have the smaller male try to be friendly. Normally they just ignored each others presence completely, minding their own business. He waited for the music to start and magically his wish was granted. A low groaning tone made his body perk up in attention. This device really did play music! It was a strange sort of sound be he still stared at Kansas in shock and excitement. What an amazing invention! His excitement quickly changed as a sudden jolt of sound sent Jazper scampering off to the other side of the hall, the headphones pulling out of the player. His eyes stared at Kansas wide as his chest pumped up and down and fur stood on end. “What the hell was that?!” He demanded. It certainly was not the music he was use to playing. His music was full of sweet melodies and was a soft relaxing sound. “Is that what all human music sounded like?” He questioned once more, his breathing almost returning to normal. Perhaps humans where not very good at music? Or perhaps their music was meant to scare away enemies. |
