- Haku Soul - 01-10-2010
Apologies for cutting our previous pack meeting short, but we were in dire need of a new one. This pack meeting too is mandatory, though you are only required to post once. This will be the official announcement that Dahlia and Inferni again are at war and is backdated to January 4 for plot start. SSWM 1021 The war was not official yet and already lives had been maimed and destroyed on both sides. Coyote and wolf teeth had tasted each other and turned the lingering tension between Inferni and Dahlia de Mai into a strong and deadly conflict once again. Some blood had already been spilled and more was to come. Several hostile acts had been served by the coyote clan to the north east and now it was time to let the whole of Dahlia know that war was upon them again and this time there would be no mercy. The coyotes had made this clear as they had darted into the territory, attacked the Rosen and shot down his ivory sister. He did not know exactly what had happened to Mew Sadira, but there had been no struggle from what the man had understood. Yet there was a small hole in her head and there had been a small metal object there drowning in the blood pouring out of the gash. That his sister still had been alive when found was beyond him, but this also gave his fellow Dahlians a crushing reason to retaliate for what had been done to their long time member. It could not have gone better. It was not only Haku and his sister that had been touched by the newly announced war. Minos had come to prove his loyalty and he had tasted the coyote’s flesh and understood how to dispose of such filth. He was one of the eye witnesses and so was his golden furred son; the soon to be medic of Dahlia if everything went according to that plan. Haku hoped not, because he did not want prolonged lives. He only wished for death. Unfortunately the rest of his pack could not know this and he had to pull own lines that he had to stay behind in order to keep his throne for now. Death would find them all quickly enough and for now he thirsted for Inferni blood more than Dahlian.
Again he was standing alone in the stone circle in the abandoned human city. The difference from last time was that now they all knew that he was the King. The Queen that had been with them for so long had slipped away in the dark and abandoned them without a single word of goodbye. This was too to be announced tonight, but it was important for all to realize that war had already lashed out for members and it was time declare war on Inferni and attempt to extinguish them once and for all. It was well known that Haku was no angel like his former ivory coated Rosea, but the Inferni clan held a worse reputation in general and there was evidence on Haku’s side today. Mew drifting closer and closer towards death and Haku’s own body bore new cuts and slashed not yet hidden by his thick chocolate coat. It helped to know that Gabriel de le Poer too held those same shallow injuries up in his north-western kingdom. The difference was that Haku had been attacked on his own soil and not the opposite like the war had started last time. The blue eyed male remembered his massacre well. He had found beauty unheard of in the sight of the woman and her child in death. He had devoured their souls and defiled their bodies and thrown Dahlia petals about the crime scene. Haku was a creature of war and the threat from the coyotes and hybrids had certainly never been larger than this. This was no pitiful thing like the last so called war. This would be so much more and Haku would let all his minions taste blood before this conflict found its end. He hoped to find a similar bloodlust in their eyes once the news was finally out.
The compact secui in chocolate and cream lifted his head up towards the darkening sky and let out his summon for the members of Dahlia de Mai – young and old, cripples and healthy individuals, those who could come were to come. He then sat back and waited with brilliant blue eyes filled with the usual emptiness. It would not be for long though. His eyes would show them war and his voice would show them purpose and determination. Their Rosea had left them in the past when they had needed her most, but the Rosen they had today would proudly lead t hem into battle and seek the end of the Inferni clan once and for all. His decaying heart demanded sacrifices; though it was not only members he was willing to put to risk. War was not safe. War was not pretty. War involved huge risks and sacrifices and Haku was willing to go all the way out if necessary. Minos and Conor had already received a first taste of the brooding conflict and he would make sure the pack as a whole would participate in the killing and feast on the hybrid blood of the hellish coyote clan. Blue eyes rose to the sky as it slowly exploded into colours as the sun sought the horizon in slow motion - Orange, red, purple and pink. Most would have found this sight exceptionally beautiful, but Haku’s soul was hallow and could not see the beauty of the nature. The colourful play on the sky danced about in the snow and created illusions of coloured snow crystal. Haku’s heart was black and he could only see blood and death. He saw the familiar shadows of the long deceased souls turned into ghouls slowly wander across the landscape; stalking the outskirts of the meeting stones. Not even once did it occur to him to ponder if he was truly insane by seeing such things.
Angels and demons were gathering on the earth like vultures on the sky in silent expectation. They knew there would be flesh and souls ready to be devoured when the battle truly started and anticipation lay thick in their minds and they smiled their horrible smile. Haku smiled back. <style> .haku-blood p {margin:0px 0px 10px 0px; padding:0px 10px 0px 10px; text-indent:30px; } .haku-blood b {color:#CF4040;} .haku-blood-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, sans-serif; font-size:12px;} .haku-blood {font-family:'trebuchet ms', arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color:#8B120B; word-spacing:1px; line-height:13px; width:400px; background-color:#490502; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/hakutable.jpg); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding-bottom:218px; padding-top:10px; text-align:justify; }</style>
- Lillith Stormbringer - 01-10-2010
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b171/ ... /lilth.png); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> There existed a time when shadows ruled the world, a time when the good men slept their troubles away, and the wicked paraded imperially in the pale moonlight. She was a creature of darkness; a Queen within her own rights. Dusk was gradually settling over Dahlian territory, giving her eyes the shadows necessary for optimal vision. This moment had long been awaited; all the right ingredients had been acquired over a period of several months, and shaped into an army worthy of praise. It was a beautiful thing for Haku Soul at the head of such power, making him untouchable for as long as they played their cards right. Easier said than done, she knew. Thavardo’s blood coursed through her grandson’s veins, which made fighting the Aquila quite taboo. How could she harm the visionary’s progeny? For once in her life, the madwoman found herself at a complete loss. Long-time implanted beliefs were not something one could overlook so easily. The Rosen had aroused her from a winter’s dream, to which she responded by granting him continuous silence as explained the day’s procedures. The upcoming pack meeting was meant for her this time, as opposed to the last one when her task had consisted of babysitting the former Dahlian alphess. An illness, she claimed, had been the source of her inability to make an appearance. How impolite! But Cercelee and her bastard of a mate were gone now, and Lillith had done nothing to stop them from escaping. Good riddance. Caring for them had been a little too strenuous, and for what reason? Dahlia de Mai did not need burdens of the sort, not in times of war. Haku had gotten a head start, granting her a few precious moments to rub the sleep from her eyes. Their arrivals were less than five minutes apart. The madwoman ambled over to the blue-eyed monster’s right side, never once sitting or relaxing the agitated posture she’d adopted. Pack meetings were not her cup of tea. Gatherings brought forth excessive wariness, for the last time she’d seen a considerable amount of people discussing war, Azathoth’s downfall had ensued. - Myrtle Hammerkop - 01-10-2010 HELLO ALL MYRTLE IS HERE. WC: 317.
Myrtle heard a strange noise. He was fairly certain it was a howl, but he could have been wrong. He had been wrong about things like that in the past, and a few times, he had suspected his hearing was not as good as it could have been. However, this time, this particular time, he believed it was a howl coming from the leader of the pack. Myrtle had not explored the territory much, so he was a little worried he would not be able to find the Rosen. However, he would do his best, and hopefully, that would be enough. Myrtle replied with an awkward yipping howl, the result of his hybrid pedigree. He replied loudly, trying to make sure the leader knew he was on his way and would do his absolute bestest to find him (even if Myrtle had no idea where he was going, or why he was going there!) Nonetheless, Myrtle set off in what he believed to be the source of the howl, hoping he would not be late for whatever he was attending. He arrived to see the Rosen and an imposing-looking black wolf standing beside him. Myrtle hoped the meeting had not already finished. Although he thought he had made it there rather quickly, his sense of time was atrocious. When BQ had asked him to rendezvous in a few hours, Myrtle had lost track of time and found him a few days later. Oops. Myrtle clomped to a stop before the two wolves, lowering his head before the leader and keeping his tail pointed down. He certainly did not want to mess this up or get eaten! BQ said in wolf packs, leaders ate the tails of disobedient wolves! Myrtle certainly liked his tail, and did not want to see it disappear. "HELLO, J'ESPÈRE K'I AM NOT LATE, MONSIEUR LEADER," he stated quietly, hoping he was not shouting.
- Sicarus de Ericeto - 01-10-2010
I totally needed to post with this guy, too. |: EDIT: CRAP, Tammi you shadowposted the hell out of me. XD Word Count: 909. In Character
This was home now. Sicarus felt it in his bones, the calling from somewhere else in the territory—he had no idea where Haku was, exactly, but Sicarus could feel his presence nonetheless. The pale brown wolf had pledged his allegiance to this alpha, sensing the power within him, lurking and just waiting to come out. Were it not for Haku, Sic doubted he would have given this pack even so much as a secondary glance—the other scents emanating from within Dahlian territory were absolutely meaningless to the Italian wolf. He did not care for his other packmembers or even the pack itself; should Dahlia de Mai fall to pieces, it meant nothing to him. The only thing that mattered was following Haku, and performing the orders given to him. Perhaps this was an unhealthy attitude for a packmember, but Sicarus knew nothing of packs and alphas. He hardly knew the words; they were almost totally foreign concepts ot him. Such was the problem with being reared in a monastery such as the one Sicarus had been raised in; he knew everything of religion, prayer, and their accompanying texts, but virtually nothing of his species' preferred habits. The monastery was a distant place in Sicarus's mind—they'd thrown him to the world at large, and for that and that alone, he was grateful. His training did not register on his mind as something they'd imparted to him; these were skills he had honed and practiced, and Jodcacus de Malis had done little else but awaken the beast within. Sicaus had spent the last day and a half exploring his new hometown, learning everything he possibly could about the territory. He'd scouted for weaknesses, meandering among the winter-bared trees of Demon's Trail and Terra Lupin, keeping close to the border and looping closer. Sicarus was happy enough that this place had several human dwellings that he might choose as his own—it had not taken the tawny-furred wolf long to settle into one of the human basements, locked closed and tight by the last occupants of the house. Sic had taken no interest in the above-ground facilities of his newfound home; he took more pleasure in collecting various candles and getting bundles of apple tree branches together, carefully selecting dry ones to lash them together tightly, creating his very own little torches. He only required one or two; these he would burn at night when he felt it necessary to write or read. There was already a musty couch, apparently dragged by some other Luperci—Sicarus had smelled his very old, faint scent. In some way, he was glad—that this place was already modified for him, already cleaned from whatever human debris had been left behind was far better than having to do all of the grunt work himself. The sandy-furred wolf had crashed down to the couch without much ado after removing his cloak, hanging it on an errant nail by the door. He had been asleep for many hours when the sound of a rousing howl drew him completely from his slumber, forcing his bright fire-orange eyes wide open. Sicarus was not the type to stretch and laze about in the morning; he was up like a shot and heading for the door without hesitation, already quite able to recognize his alpha's howl. Slinging his cloack over his back for the moment, he dawdled just an instant to take a piss, finding the sensation of a full bladder too insistent to wait until after whatever his alpha summoned them for and the idea of asking for even a momentary excuse away from the meeting too improper to consider. Barring that, Sicarus did not stop on his way to the Alpha, throwing his cloak over him as he walked. The tawny-furred wolf arrived just after a charcoal-furred female whom he entirely ignored aside from noting her presence. She was a woman and unworthy of even his momentary attention; a shriveling sense of disgust rose in him as he thought of her gender as a whole. There was another strange canine present, as well, in the midst of shouting something incomprehensible to Sic. There was a strange language mixed in there, one he did not recognize. The wolf's face was virtually unreadable as he eyed this other newcomer up, but there was a distinct distaste for the other canine forming beneath the shroud of Sicarus's hood already. He did not like loudness; he did not appreciate it, and this seemed an entirely inappropriate venue for the tone the stranger had taken. Sicarus would show him, then. As soon as he was within view of his Rosen, the de Ericeto wolf dropped to a knee, bowing his head and carefully averting his eyes. Ten seconds of this and he was up, moving closer to the Rosen, ceasing just outside of six feet of him, the respectable distance for a lowly thing such as himself. To come any closer was almost an insult to Haku according to Sicarus's traditions; only with his leader's express permission or in the case that his leader was in mortal danger was he allowed to break this "personal bubble" afforded to his leadership. The wolf did not smile or speak; he remained virtually motionless after seating himself on one of the stone benches, his tail curled around his hip and tucked next to his thigh, his muzzle raised only to the level of Haku's feet. <style> .sicarus-bones p {padding:0px 20px 10px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:30px;} .sicarus-bones b {color:#C07512;} .sicarus-bones-separator {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; font-weight:bold; text-align:left; margin:0px 0px 2px 0px; color:#C07512; padding-left:20px;} .sicarus-bones-ooc {font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:.4px; font-style:italic; } .sicarus-bones {background-color:#DDB875; padding:210px 0px 10px 0px; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/rp/other/sictable.jpg); background-position: top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:14px; width:395px; text-align:justify; } </style>
- Alexey Koios - 01-10-2010
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v606/ ... Nightfall was approaching; another fifteen minutes and things would get ugly. There was no hope left for the good-hearted souls, the ones who wanted nothing but peace, because the Rosen’s reign was no small predicament. It was a swirling vortex of chaos, immorality, and obliteration. Alexey anticipated complications, knowing that history would repeat itself, as was always the case with ancient rivalries. His call rang crystal clear, and the Acer found herself flinching with trepidation and reminiscence of what it meant. So, this is what it had come down to; another meeting, more foreseeable bad news. It had become a familiar pattern of sorts, and it felt like déjà vu from their last gathering. Reluctantly as always, the cinnamon fey rose to her feet and sought the man in charge, heading for the town square at a pace that was considered, in her opinion, tolerable. Her chest was heavy with anxiety as she ran into several foreign scents, a solid three of them never encountered before. Where had they all come from? Suddenly, she regretted not having Conor at her side. She could have waited for him to catch up, but the thought did not cross her mind until it was too late. Her gait slowed considerably when four figures appeared before her, not one of them recognizable with the exception of the alpha. A short inhale-exhale exercise gave her limbs the strength to push forward, up to the place where her presence was required. The wolves present were a strange-looking bunch; a dishevelled woman, a cloaked minion, and another oddity of sorts. Amber-hued orbs swept over the area, taking in every single face in attendance, before settling on the blue-eyed monster. She did not speak, but her gaze exuded apparent curiosity. What the hell was going on? Cautious, Alexey retreated to the far end of the town square, silently wishing for someone familiar to emerge from the distance. Oh Conor, where are you? - Minos Lierrah - 01-10-2010
SSWM - 334
He hurt. The pain of his aching muscle, his torn and cut skin radiated through his form even as he slept. Died blood still lingered on his once pure pelt, but Minos felt no urge to clean those places that hurt so badly at the touch. Ears moved with the sounds that came upon the wind, drifting lightly through the dusk and lingering in his tired mind. Yellow eyes opened, and though he did not favor moving, the beast did. He had been told, and so the male gathered his ragged and beaten body and took to the path that he hoped would lead him to the creature that called.
It was an alpha unlike anything Minos could begin to understand. The large brown brute was normal, or it had seemed. Brutal in his ways and angry in his voice but Mino expected that feared and respected it. It was the wound his suffered, the one that was to change and better him. It was confusing, but in the end only physical, just as the wounds from the coyote trespassers. All would heal. The canine moved in a trot, coming to the scent of gathered beasts and slowing at the sight of them.
The omega understood his place, and rather then suffering at the hands of the odd creatures he shared him home with the male lingered on the outskirts of the forming circle. Their leader stood in the center, power and fearlessness emitting from his battle scarred form. Yellow eyes stole only small glanced at the other beasts, and he sat without giving a greeting to anyone. Wishing to be invisible to those that he could not fight against, Minos said nothing looked at no one and sat alone. The thought that he had gone up against the intruders, to think that he was part of a war much larger then just the wolves of his pack was beyond his realm of thought. His alpha had called, and the white wolf had followed. - Conor Soul - 01-11-2010

- Tokyo Chance - 01-13-2010
Tokyo was slow to mobilize. And she was actually fairly annoyed that she had to in the first place. Ignoring the upset squeaking of her day-old son as she shifted, she proceeded to empty the books and miscellaneous trinkets out of her green purse, then grabbed a warm woolen dress she had from the other side of the cave. Carefully lining the bottom of the bag with that dress, she pulled a couple other random articles of clothing from a pile on the side and made a sort of nest. Carefully picking up King, she murmured reassurances and tucked him carefully inside of the bag. Grabbing the nearest dress, which happened to be a light dark blue and green swirled sundress, Tokyo pulled it over her head. Slinging her son over her shoulder, she started towards the exit of her den only to stop as she walked by the large shard of mirror that was hanging on her wall. God, her hair looked terrible. With a sigh, she set King down again and gave her hair a vigorous five minute brushing. The golden brown curls once more at an acceptable level of control and flounce, she picked up the bag and trotted out towards the source of the sound. Her left hand rested protectively on the bag at her hip, rubbing gently against the small form she felt inside. While walking, she grumbled as if the little thing could actually hear her: "Seriously? Another mandatory meeting? This is absurd. I should be at home, taking care of you." His vigorous squeaking was clearly agreement. Thankfully it didn't take too long to make it to the meeting place. Where the hell had all these strangers come from? In particular, her ice blue eyes slid over the dark female at Haku's side, and something akin to jealousy sparked in the pit of a stomach and caught Tokyo momentarily off guard. How long had it been since the last meeting? A month! And six wolves present that she didn't know, out of seven. Only one of those she didn't know even looked familiar - the golden kid near Alexey. He must be Emwe's brother, that other son of Haku's. He was pretty enough, but King would be stronger, and bigger. Tokyo knew it. Completely disregarding the multitude of strangers, she approached her leader and sat herself down on the side that the black female was not. Sitting cross-legged, she carefully lifted her son out of the green bag, plopping him on her lap and stroking him idly, her eyes now fixed on her leader. - Kol Stormbringer - 01-13-2010
Her stomach was a knotted ball of iron. It had been several weeks since she'd last seen her mate, and though at first she wasn't all that worried, now she was literally worried sick. Her patrols around the borders had yielded a decent collection of the filthy traps that had been set to terrorize the pack, but no signs of the missing Elliot Oriel had been found. Part of her was thankful she hadn't come across his mangled body, but the other part of her was longing for some sort of news somewhere. And there was another part of her whose voice was growing louder in the weeks that passed, a voice that whispered that the handsome male had simply lost interest in her as all of her past lovers had done, and had found someone far more appealing. As much as she hated herself for thinking so, Kol had to admit that the anger that thought stirred in her gut helped to push her onward through each day he was gone. Strangely enough, the coal-colored woman was not on the borders when the call went up. Haku's voice rang through the air surrounding her treehouse, and with a heavy sigh the Stormbringer set aside the diary she'd begun keeping upon her return to Dahlia de Mai. To her growing disgust, Kol had found herself becoming more and more withdrawn from the world around her, and the thick book with the scratchy writing was now her only companion. She still had not gotten around to visiting Alexey, as much as her heavy heart missed her. Having seen the golden-eyed woman at the previous meeting, and the way she looked at Conor, Kol had no interest in complicating her friend's life. She knew how things happened when friends found lovers, and both time and absence worked to drive their own wedges between them. Lexey had much more important things going on right now, though Kol knew she had to apologize to her at some point, both for her own long absence, and her idiotic brother's seeming abandonment. There had still been no sign of the rust-colored male since he'd left Solbjorg when Kol's pups were born, and Kol had been certain he'd returned to Dahlia and Alexey. His mysterious absence was yet another cause for the iron ball that weighed on her gut. After climbing down the rope ladder that connected the treehouse to the ground, the Stormbringer woman set herself into an easy trot toward the meeting circle, her long optime legs eating up the ground only slightly more slowly than her more efficient lupine form. Her violet eyes were steely and cold as she picked her way through the woods, her mind constantly churning over everything from her missing loved ones to the increasing tension she'd begun to feel between Dahlia and their longtime enemies, Inferni. There was a note of urgency in the call that Haku had given, and Kol had a sinking feeling that the two packs were once again on the verge of an explosively violent conflict. In addition to the several new scents that littered the borders and the packlands, the very air resonated with the tense energy of mistrust and fear. It didn't take the dark woman that long to arrive at the scene, but several others had made it there first. As she slowed her pace, her violent eyes hid the shock she felt at the number of unknown individuals in attendance. She sought a familiar face, but the form of Alexey was already flanked by Conor, and Kol reserved herself to sitting alone, as usual. As she entered the circle, she dipped her head in respect to the newly-crowned Rosen, and moved to take a cross-legged seat on the right side of the gathering. A pang of nostalgia hit her hard as she remembered another meeting long ago, when the pack had gathered in celebration and Kol had been surrounded by those she considered family. Alexey and she had been close as sisters then, and the dark woman hoped that someday she could mend the relationship they'd had and be like that again. It would be a long road, and once she would have to initialize, but she held that hope close to her bruised and lonely heart. As she kept her silence and solitude and waited for whatever news Haku's call would bring, Kol couldn't help but notice the distinct absence of ghostly former Rosea and her piebald mate. Their scents had begun to fade around the packlands as well, and Kol made a mental note to do a little sniffing around the old church the pair called home after the meeting. The woman knew deep down that something was going on behind the scenes, she just couldn't put a finger on it. Thoughts rolled through her mind as she scanned the faces of her gathered packmates, her eyes suddenly settling on the black figure sitting beside their leader. Sitting upwind of the woman, Kol could not catch her scent, but her build and the color of her eyes caught her attention. Drey had spoken of coming across a vaguely familiar scents those many months ago, someone of their bloodline but not of Solbjorg itself. Kol never found out if her brother had discovered the owner of the scent, but her suspicions were now tickled unbearably, for she'd come across a similar circumstance around the packlands of Dahlia. The scent had intrigued her, and now the appearance of this woman who looked so like one of the dark bloods pushed the mystery even further. Was this Haku's newest consort? If so, just who the hell was she, and why did she tease the corners of Kol's mind so? Table by Tay - Addison - 01-16-2010
- Alex - 01-20-2010 OOC|| Hi guys 1045 words That deep voice called her. It was like all the tones in the world got mixed up in one single flawless voice. And it called called her now. Alex’s eyes widened to recive the fading light and her ears pointed up to fill with that amazing voice. The only one she knew, after all and the one she liked the most of what she heard. It was weird how the black female could admire one like the leader but it was certain she started to like him more with time. To her still young mind the stains of blood she could almost see on that brownish pelt didn’t mattered. Nor the screams of terror that seemed to accompany him everywhere. To her it was just one of those wolves you just admire, without caring for their past. After all he did great good to her not killing her and letting her stay. Amber orbs stared the sky for a second before closing to let one of her most thrilling songs out. It wasn’t something she intended, it just came out and for a few seconds she thought she did a bad thing but it was too late to take it back. Her mind raced back to when she was smaller. She still kept the memories of a war back than but everything was blurry. She knew war was what awaited her here for rumors got to her. The woman still hoped it was just a rumor but it was written in the air it was bound to happen. Alex remembered what the leader told her about the metal jaws and the fact that someone aimed to hurt dahlian members. She remembered what she thought about the one that did stuff like that and sudently she knew she was going to join the fight. If only she was a little stronger…The black woman left out a sigh of disappointment. She didn’t want to drag down the pack with her wicknes but she didn’t want to step aside eighter. After some thought she figured it wasn’t really her choice and headed straight to where the call came. Redish paws touched the paved alley, leaving medium paw prints in the snow. Judging after their depth it was easely seen one leg wasn’t really fully used, although Alex seemed to walk perfectly fine. The truth was it didn’t hurt anymore but it was still pretty stiff. She couldn’t see it but her wickness was obvious. Though she ate well since she came to these lands her body was still quite thin and her frame looked awfully fragile under the thick layer of fur covering her body. Besides her problems, Alex tried to keep tall and proud without looking threatfull or unsubmissive. It wasn’ like her to just lower her head and follow so she didn’t tried to do that. Instead, the female kept herself head up, ears erect walking softly. Her tail, left hanging down was the only sign of her submition along with the respectful look in her eyes. It was a strange compilation of pride and respect that gave her an air of strength. Looking around she realized she only knew one face and the idea of plundging into a sea of unknown faces scared her alittle. She knew for a fact no one knew her out there and had no idea how she’ll be welcomed among those all unfamiliar faces. She stopped a second to asses the situation and think of what she could do. The fact that there was little to none chances she’ll be able to do anything left her mind black walking to where everyone gathered. The smell of tension could almost be senced in the air and the war was on everyone’s lips, hanging over every head there like a death sentence, like a curse. It was sad to watch all those faces, to hear all those voices and know some won’t live through that war. To Alex, the perspective of witnessing death was tormenting for it was the first time she would actually take part in something like that. It was weird that she wanted to be there but feared it dearely. Her eyes swifted from wolf to wolf to see her new pack mates. Though she knew no one, something made her like every single one of them. Well not really… Hazel eyes fell on the black pup she already knew and a smile of amusement broke her otherwise serious face. She didn’t liked the pup but it wasn’t like she hated it eighter. It was something that needed time to fall in place and weather she’ll learn to like the pup or not was to be seen. There were other faces more interesting and Alex just kept walking. One by one, faces started to stick to her mind along with smells and voices. It was nice to be invaded by that amount of information and she loved every second of it. All colors and sizes, all expressions and sounds, everything was there. Alex could almost lay down and watch forever that combination of souls, each different, each amazing. Her paws though kept taking her further and further, until she got closer to the alpha. It wasn’t something she ment but something involuntary triggered by the general unfamiliarity. He was the only face she trusted so far and she hoped in case of trouble he’ll be the one to help her through. It wasn’t like she tried to stay on his good side just because he was the strongest around…No, it had nothing to do with that. And the raised head and daring look on her face was the speaking proof of her sincerity. Amber orbs stared each wolf again as Alex laid down, keeping a respectful yet proud light shining in them, smiling to each one in a warm way that spoke her mind better than anything. As she turned to the brown male her eyes shined with a new light, one that kept all her might and inner strength. It wasn’t a chalange nor a threat. It was a silent prayer for being allowed to fight. She knew he might see her as weak and unworthy but she also knew she could make a difference. If she was allowed to. It's war, isn't it? - Haku Soul - 01-22-2010
800+ Fangs were bared for a short moment when the second pack member – the young male with the particular accent, showed up and yelled unintelligently. Lillith was already by his side and although he was walking a lonely path she always proved to be absolutely useful in every way. He did not doubt that the dark woman had her own plots that he unconsciously played a part in, but this was accepted as long as she would not cross his will. The third attendant proved himself a second time as he kneeled for his master. The Rosen’s eyes gleamed brightly with silent approval. Slowly members made their way to the meeting. The high ranked puppy sitter and the son that perhaps would prove to be useful after all. The white wolf with the changing body remained in the outskirts where he belonged for now. The jet black Svara offspring made an appearance, but Haku made no move to acknowledge her presence. As Tokyo arrived his eyes found the form of his youngest son. Although he disliked to be revealed as the child’s father, he found it to be relatively insignificant in any case. It was no one’s business who he slept with and while old, unfaithful faces had fled these lands, new and loyal pawns had taken their place and could help him make his crimson goals true. Their task was not to judge, but to be sacrificed for the sake of blood and chaos.
Kol arrived without her mate and his chubby son arrived without a brain. Addison too entered the meeting and he was pleased to see her though he still did not truly know whether or not she would be with Dahlia. Hanna’s voice rose in the distance and he accepted her absence. Mew was dying and the black woman foolishly tried to keep life in his ivory sister. This was a strong card he could play and he felt somewhat grateful that Mew had suddenly proved to be useful for once, though it was not in a way he had anticipated. Strange Lolita and freshly accepted Alex were the last ones to arrive before Haku decided to wait no longer. It was hard to know whether or not all of the current members were here. Haku knew that loyalties failed every day, though Dahlia’s numbers were still large enough for his plan to be executed. The black female looked up at Rosen and he gave her a quick nod before his eyes started to wander across the small gathering of souls. He wondered how many would be left after his demon’s needs were fulfilled. He wondered if the group realized that he was just as excited about this second meeting as some of them were. Large changes had required this, and today the news held even more importance, for they were at war once again.
”My fellow Dahlians, our contract with Inferni has come to an end.” Some of them knew already; had already tasted the coyotes’ blood. ” Inferni has broken peace and shed Dahlian blood once again. Yesterday, they broke into our territory and attacked our members with fangs and claws.” Eyes went to Minos and Conor, as both of them clearly held fresh injuries from the Aquila and his Lykoi minion. ”Yesterday, our Vitis was mortally injured by an Inferni member and left to die. Most of you know Mew Sadira; know that she was a peaceful being that would not hurt another being. This was done with cold blood.” The oddest thing was that he thought he should be able to recognize the female hybrid that had done this. Her scent was familiar yet he knew he had never laid his eyes on her. ”We will not let such hostility go by unpunished. It is time to extinguish Inferni once and for all. Cercelee has abandoned us once again when she is needed the most, but we will show them how we deal with filth that tries to fuck with us.” Very slowly, Haku was turning into the beast that he had hidden away from the public for so long. He would show anger and bloodlust for Dahlia’s enemies and he wanted to infect Dahlia with hate.
His powerful voice spoke of rage and hatred now. ”From this moment on, we are at war.“ He was no longer sitting peacefully on his spot. Dark energy allowed his body no rest and so he paced to and fro in the front of his minions, both the reluctant and the willing. ”There will be no bargains, no hostages. As the lowly coyotes, we will show our enemies no mercy this time.” He spat at the ground and let a snarl rip through the heating air. ”Death to the coyote clan.” the male lowly sneered under his breath, longing for the sight of the Inferni clan drowning in their own blood. <style> .haku-blood p {margin:0px 0px 10px 0px; padding:0px 10px 0px 10px; text-indent:30px; } .haku-blood b {color:#CF4040;} .haku-blood-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:arial, sans-serif; font-size:12px;} .haku-blood {font-family:'trebuchet ms', arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color:#8B120B; word-spacing:1px; line-height:13px; width:400px; background-color:#490502; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/hakutable.jpg); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding-bottom:218px; padding-top:10px; text-align:justify; }</style>
- Lillith Stormbringer - 01-24-2010
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b171/ ... /lilth.png); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> And so it began; the Rosen’s servants, for that is what she considered them to be, arrived one after the other. While she didn’t know where he’d recruited all of them, the madwoman found herself pleased with the militia assembled. They were growing exponentially, definitely a good thing in terms of numbers. Her satisfaction faltered, however, once she finally got around to examining each and every one of them. The loud one who’d referred to Haku as “monsieur leader” coaxed a reaction out of her, amusement was present in the look she cast over her shoulder. However incompetent he appeared to be, he certainly made for a good mascot. Entertainment was good for the pack’s morale. The rest had arrived in a timely manner, wolves and hybrids alike answering their alpha’s call and steadily pouring into the town square. Reticence was perceptible amongst some of them, contrasting with the raw dedication others possessed. Despite her favourable feelings for the male, she could understand why some wouldn’t keep him close to their hearts. One female in particular, the one with a child in tow, stood out from the lot. Not only had she acquired the unoccupied place beside the blue-eyed demon, but something about the way she treated that child made her face twist in disgust. She was a walking doll, stroking her son in ways that would have been appropriate for a lap dog. The child belonged to her as well as him, and Lillith found herself sorely disappointed in his choice of partners. One more life gone to waste; a child with no future aside from the ridiculous pampering his mother had to offer. The announcement came soon thereafter, a war declaration that would no doubt result in the loss of several pawns. Immediately, she straightened up, granting the Rosen’s decision with a complimentary growl; a low rumble emanating from deep within. So this was war. “Death to the coyote clan,” she recited, chiming in to her beau’s promising vows. - Myrtle Hammerkop - 01-24-2010
Myrtle was amazed. There were so many wolves here! There was one with gold eyes who looked a little constipated (or maybe he was angry? Probably because he was constipated, yep), and a girl who had a light cinnamon coat similar to the leader's. However, unlike the leader, she looked horribly distracted, so Myrtle decided not to say anything to her (or the constipated wolf, since Myrtle did not want to engage him in a conversation if he really had to go). Soon, more wolves arrived, including a sad-looking white wolf, a dreamy, misty-eyed boy, a weird dark girl, and a very angry old lady. And new arrivals kept on arriving. Myrtle sat completely still, his eyes wide as more and more arrived: a black-furred warrior, an annoyed-looking girl, and a quiet pale boy. Myrtle stared off at the boy for a few moments, also wondering why he was staring at him. The boy sat quietly, and seemed to be thinking about something important. Of course, soon enough, a black woman and two little wolf-like creatures. Myrtle squinted at them. They talked funny. He did not like them. He harrumphed and turned away in time to see two more wolves arrive before the leader spoke. Myrtle wished the leader had not spoken. He sounded mean. Myrtle did not want to go to war or hurt this 'Ferni place. Not at all! And he still had to figure out where BQ had disappeared to. Maybe BQ could join Dahlia and they could hide from the war together! But Myrtle shook his head and continued to listen to the Rosen, knowing he should at least try to understand. Unfortunately, a lot of the words were unfamiliar and confusing to Myrtle, so a lot of it did not make much sense to him. Myrtle understood 'Feernie had hurt them, and as the leader continued to speak, it became a little clearer. Myrtle still did not want to see anyone get hurt, but he did not think anyone would agree with him. The scary black-furred female glanced over at him and smirked, then added her own words. Myrtle's blood ran cold. He wanted to stare and cry, but all he could do was sit quietly, hoping the war would end soon.
- Sicarus de Ericeto - 01-25-2010
Word Count: 503 In Character
Immediately after Sic showed up, a pale, brownish furred woman appeared, glancing this way and that as if seeking someone. He hunkered down closer in his hood, only his eyes drawn to the next to show up—thankfully this was a man, pale furred and with brilliant yellow eyes. Sicarus immediately decided there was something wrong with him—perhaps he was an outcast of sorts? He remained on the outskirts of the grouping, his white fur reflecting the pale moonlight in a rather ghostly fashion. The next to show up was a young man with rather striking eyes; other than that feature he appeared rather nondescript to Sicarus, and so he passed this wolf on. He did not know that this was the son of the exhalted leader, otherwise he might have paid more mind to the purple-eyed man. The next to show up did not even register on Sicarus's radar; puppies were almost entirely foreign to him. He had never seen one so close before in his life, and it was vaguely disgusting to him. It was a girl-child, and as a female child it was weaker than anything else. Even the other women were above her. Another woman showed up, and the writhing thing on her shoulder appeared to be another puppy. It was all Sicarus could do not to move to the outskirts of the group entirely; only the proximity of Haku kept him where he was. After that yet another woman, and another, and younger man, three more women—women! Dahlia de Mai was filled with women. Sicarus realized this with dismay at first, and disgust as more and more of them had slowly filtered in—now his gaze was directed at Haku, completely indifferent to anyone else scurrying in late. The Leader would speak soon, he realized, and his attention must not waver. Sicarus in front of Haku was an entirely different creature from the comrade of Kai and the almost maniacal fighter he became at times, driven mad by bloodlust. There was nothing more than professionalism about him; his face had not wavered in emotion even as he viewed the mass of women infecting Dahlian soil, and his head had remained in place, only his eyes wavering. Now they were focused again at the feet of Haku, and they sparsely blinked as he began to speak. With his words grew Sicarus's belief that the man was plenipotentiary of Dahlia de Mai; there was no greater leader than their Rosen. Overcome with joyous emotion for the strength of his master and the strength of his pack, the wolf lifted his muzzle for the first time since arriving, his voice sharp and clipped: "Rex non potest peccare," he remarked quietly, as if it were a prayer to Haku himself—it almost was; the wolf's head dipped forward just a bit more toward his great and glorious leader. Once more his voice rose to echo his clanmate's sentiments, and Sicarus spoke far louder this time: "Death to the coyote clan!" .sicarus-crow p {padding:0px 20px 10px 20px; margin:0px; text-indent:35px;} .sicarus-crow b {color:#EBE5D8; font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px; } .sicarus-crow-separator {font-family:'century gothic', arial, sans-serif; font-size:13px; font-weight:bold; text-align:center; margin:0px 0px 2px 0px; color:#EBE5D8; padding-left:20px; letter-spacing:1px; border-bottom:1px dotted #352E26;} .sicarus-crow-ooc {font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:10px; letter-spacing:.4px;} .sicarus-crow {background-color:#C2B1A7; padding:10px 0px 300px 0px; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/rp/other/sictable2.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#352E26; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:2px; line-height:14px; width:400px; text-align:justify; } </style>
- Alexey Koios - 01-25-2010
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v606/ ... Avoiding eye-contact eased her anxiety to a certain extent. The arrival of several peculiar-looking wolves was quite disconcerting, and she found herself struggling to catch a glimpse of familiarity. Conor’s presence helped tremendously, allowing her to realize how dependent she’d truly become. Their gazes intertwined briefly and in silence, they shared countless thoughts and concerns. Their wordless exchange was however interrupted by Alexey herself, as she diverted from the comforting amethyst of his eyes. Something about the way she felt about the Rosen’s son brought forth feelings of paranoia. One lingering glance, one fleeting touch, could reveal the secrets hidden within. She wouldn’t take that chance, not now. Her inner debate was interrupted when a neon shade of aquamarine caught the corner of her eye. The dishevelled woman was looking straight at her- no, straight through her. Whoever she was and whatever her reasons were, Alexey couldn’t help but recoil considerably. Kol’s arrival served as an excuse for her to peel her eyes away from the madwoman. Her receivers lowered even closer to her head, knowing that their relationship was well on its way to self-destruction. Her heart yearned for reconciliation while her head required an admission of guilt. She was trapped between two extremes, unable to yet give in. Then came Tokyo, flamboyant as ever, carrying a mini version of herself. It was obvious, if not by the child’s appearance, then by the place she chose, that Haku Soul had sired yet another poor little boy. Obviously, the man would never learn from past experiences. Emwe was the next familiar face to make an entrance, atypically quiet for someone of his nature. An affectionate smirk was directed his way before she resorted to a stoic expression. More people arrived, followed by the Rosen’s dreadful announcement. The Caregiver found herself wondering why it did not surprise her. Regardless of whether she had expected it or not, his words stung like a thousand needles. This wasn’t just another war. This time, important things were at stake. Conor, Emwe, Mew’s children, Kol... She flinched inwardly, remembering that many moons ago, the violet-eyed femme had been the one to rescue her from Ahemait Lykoi and Ahren de le Poer. |
