Fourth Strike, group two.We will be dealing with Kaj Mathias and Hasse Kettil. Maggie will be killing Hasse Kettil. And if any of this isn’t alright, let me know.
This was a situation Maggie had never been in before; having prescious knowledge that she had no idea what to do with, so she let her gut instincts kick in. Maggie had gotten a glimpse of the attackers as she did her last round of checking the traps earlier; but luckily she hadn’t been seen so she slinked back to the heart of the territory, quietly sounding the alarm. She ran back into the heart of the territory, howling for anyone to come join her. Denver and Siv had arrived in due time, and the three sprinted to the border to defend their homeland.
It had been awkward since Denver and Maggie had last spoken, but she exchanged pleasant glances with the peculiar wolfdog as they made their way north. After some time the Confidant hushed the group and listened to the sounds echoing in the forest. The scout pointed to her right and motioned for the others. She took off the dagger that hung from her throat on string and kept it tightly wrapped around her right hand. She was almost within striking distance when the world shattered around her; she stepped on a twig that snapped just a little bit too loudly.
”Who’s there?” The darker stranger called out gruffly. The other, younger, creature grabbed his sword menacingly, and ran right to where the scouting party was standing. With her heart kicking into overdrive Maggie whispered “Run!” to her comrades, hoping to find a vantage point behind that at which to fight with them and regain an advantage.

The silent alarm had forced her to go with little. Hildr had been packed and prepared, but secrecy forced her to leave the horse behind and loose. Now that she had established control over the headstrong mare she trusted her to roam loose. Nearby was all she asked—if they needed aid she would want to ride fast and hard. The strangers had come with horses, she had been told, and this meant the need for her own was great. In her massive Secui form, Siv had difficulty remaining quiet herself. It was only by chance they were spotted, and by this time her blood was pumping hot. She ducked into the brush long before the young boy rushed into their grouping and circled wide. The older man was still on his horse. That made things difficult, but not impossible. If she was able to spook his horse he would be forced to get down to their level. Head low and fur bristling Siv rushed for his mount, hurling herself towards the haunch of the nervous mare. #siv-thor { font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px; width:95%; margin:0px auto; line-height:18px; } #siv-thor p { text-indent:50px; padding:0; margin:10px 0; } #siv-thor p.siv-img { text-align:center; text-indent:0; font-size:11px; font-style:italic; float:right; margin:5px; } #siv-thor .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:georgia, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #siv-thor .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #siv-thor b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 12px; } #siv-thor u { text-decoration: underline; } #siv-thor b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } </style>
here i am! Denver wasn't ready for this. He had only just recovered from near heartbreak after a near-battle. He couldn't do another one. And Maggie, what if she got hurt again? He bit his lip as he followed her, blue eyes glancing now and then to the dark woman called Siv. She reminded him of Eris, only much, much larger; especially in this form. Siv also made him much more nervous, but he tried not to let it show. Right then he was more concerned for his own life, anyways. All was silent, until it wasn't. When he heard the crack beneath Maggie's feet, he froze, holding his breath for a split second to listen. But it was too late; they'd heard. One of them rushed forward, and so did Denver, growling as the glint of steel came into view. Maggie was ahead of him, and she yelled at him to run, but he wasn't about to do that. She wants me to run, he thought absurdly, after it nearly got her killed last time. He wouldn't run now, and he wouldn't let them get Maggie again. Reaching down for his freshly sharpened dagger, he wielded it ferociously as he rushed towards the rust-colored, foreign youth. He had no idea who these strangers were, but he didn't think they were Ichikan. They wore cloaks and had all sorts of weapons that he didn't. Even so, the boy was young, the older, gray wolf was still ahorse, and three outnumbered two. He hoped that would be enough. .detou b {font-weight:bold; color:#d7b688; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1a1206; } .detou p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .detou {margin:0 auto; width:500px; background-color:#624838; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/remzC.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 210px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#b28c7f; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .detou p b:before { content: open-quote; } .detou p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
There were others around, but her goal was singular and focused. Bristling and dark the Secui form avoided a blow from the horse’s hoof, only to be caught high on the back by the sword. She wheeled and snapped for his hand, but was too slow and missed. Her claws reached for the flank of the animal and again, fell short as the horse shied away. Siv snarled and hit the ground, launching herself forward again. The horse turned sharply and she saw the flash of steel come towards her again. Siv bolted to the side and made a wide circle. She would go after the horse, take it down and kill the rider. Snarling and snapping, she rushed for the legs of the animal and managed to close her teeth around a bony leg before both the sword and hooves came down, reigning twin blows that forced her again to retreat and circle wide. #siv-thor { font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px; width:95%; margin:0px auto; line-height:18px; } #siv-thor p { text-indent:50px; padding:0; margin:10px 0; } #siv-thor p.siv-img { text-align:center; text-indent:0; font-size:11px; font-style:italic; float:right; margin:5px; } #siv-thor .txtooc { text-align:left; font-size:12px; font-family:georgia, serif; text-transform:none; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } #siv-thor .txtooc .word { font-weight:bold; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-style:normal;} #siv-thor b { letter-spacing:-.5px; font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 12px; } #siv-thor u { text-decoration: underline; } #siv-thor b.npc { letter-spacing:.5px; font-style:italic; font-weight:normal; } </style>
dis okay? >< Denver watched the fight, the noises ringing loudly in his ears; he dared not interfere, lest he cause her to slip up, or the idiot boy to gain an advantage, somehow. Instead, he growled and paced around, following close behind, watching for the first sign of blood. In the background, the drumming of hoofbeats sent his pulse rising. And then, there was blood. That color was all he saw as he rushed forward, a snarl ripping from his throat in blind rage. Denver felt his fist collide with the man's face once, and then again, knocking the man to the ground with the force. There, one fist continued to pummel at his face. In the other hand, his dagger sought the more tender parts of the wolf's stomach. The sudden scream of the horse behind him sent a shiver down his spine, and caused him a moment's pause. It was enough for the enemy to retaliate with a well-placed kick and a swipe of his claws, enough for Denver to flinch as he rolled aside. Cursing, he grasped at his groin, trying to blink out the pain as his gaze sought Magnolia in a godless prayer for her safety. .detou b {font-weight:bold; color:#d7b688; letter-spacing:1px; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #1a1206; } .detou p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 16px; margin:0px;} .detou {margin:0 auto; width:500px; background-color:#624838; background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/remzC.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #0b052c; padding: 210px 0px 7px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#b28c7f; text-shadow: 0.1em 0.1em 0.2em #; letter-spacing:.6px; word-spacing:.9x; line-height:13.3px; text-align:justify;} .detou p b:before { content: open-quote; } .detou p b:after {content: close-quote; } </style>
