[html] He had heard the stories, interpreted the rumours, but that did not mean he fully understood the situation. Andrezej was no longer in Inferni, and apparently, it had been with good reason. From what he had heard, Andrezej had not only threatened one of the puppies, but also attacked his brother. Hybrid had felt a growing sense of anger the moment he had heard that, bristling at the mention of betrayal within the ranks of his own clan. Though it was not his clan, nor did he care to claim it as his own, he still felt his lip curl in a snarl whenever he heard of someone turning their backs on Inferni.
He was weak. Hybrid had wondered if the child would ever be ready to serve Inferni as one of their dedicated soldiers, but it seemed like it would never happen. He was too foolish to keep his teeth and claws in check, his words merely thoughts, and had done the unthinkable. Although Hybrid wished Inferni could be a militaristic faction of coyotes, ready to go to battle in a moments notice, he knew it was not possible. It was only wishful thinking, and thinking that Andrezej would be able to survive among them. It was too much. He had expected too much of a child.
Hybrid trotted farther along the coast, making his way farther and father South past the Swamp Sosye. He had since passed the murky delta and was now venturing farther into the brush and small, lightly forested area to the south. Though he had not seen Andrezej in days, he did not think the child would be foolish enough to remain close to Inferni. He would find him, soon, and he would pay for betraying the clan.

He had figured out, finally, how to shift back from his bipedal form and, having felt he had mastered it, he was now trying to obtain the third rumoured form. He didn't know if it existed or not, and had only heard of it in passing (gossip and the like) while he slunk low around the bushes, but he wanted it nonetheless. Powerful and huge, it was said to be, quick and built purely for power and speed. Such a form would be most helpful in his desires to bring Gabriel down and to head the clan into being what it needed to be; a group of coyotes worthy of their name who did not sit around and cool their heels, but would be able to take three wolves apiece. They would be strong enough.
But to do that he needed to annihilate Gabriel, and also any who stood up for the eldest hybrid. He didn't want to do it so much as it was a necessity, for Andre had always been a kid about necessity, and it was one to fight. To hurt and try to kill. It burned in his stomach, spread to his toes, and launched him into a fray that need not even exist. Control had been maintained up until Die Bohrung, but that had been a more enlightening situation.
He still kicked himself whenever he thought of how he'd been drawn so easily into admitting that he would never love. That was something nobody needed to know, or could already infer, but uttering it as if it were not something the world did not need to know? He was a fool for ever doing that. He had retreated to the swamp, then, away from the structure off the beach and through the city and finally to the swamp. It was disgusting, and even in the midst of winter, the water battled on. He growled at the sucking sounds that dominated it, and pressed onward.
And that's when he came emerged on the coastline, right behind Hybrid, snarling bitterly at the surrounding territory.

[html] Hybrid is about three metres away from Andrezej.
He could see him. The child was standing there, making noises under his breath as he stalked about the shores. Hybrid was unsure what the puppy had been doing, but it mattered very little. Hybrid had come to accomplish one thing, and that was to make the boy pay. Whether the boy died or not depended on his will to survive. On one hand, Hybrid felt such loathing that he was certain his anger would get the best of him, causing him to tear the boy to shreds, inevitably killing him. On the other hand, Hybrid also felt like leaving the boy to survive with his wounds, for he should not be worth his time. But here he was, looking for him.
No matter what happened, Hybrid needed to be certain the boy would have something to remember this encounter by. A scar was fine, but the loss of an eye would be preferable. Ripping of his ear, though satisfying, would have a small impact on the child. He wanted to make Andrezej remember who Hybrid was and what Inferni was. Now they were weak, but they would grow. They did not need a traitor. They did not need another creature like Vitium.
Hybrid snarled as he watched Andrezej, baring his fangs, but saying not a word. He remained still, watching the child, fur bristling. He stood at a ready position, weight balanced carefully so he had more on his back legs for when he would run and attack.

He composed himself in silence, the snarling dwindling away, before he looked up to see Hybrid not far from him. The other coyote was looking directly at him and, for a moment, he was struck with deja vu; he had been called a kitty by this one before. He almost had the impulse to walk over and engage the other in conversation of war, to bring the stronger, older hybrid to his side, but the minute fangs were bared in his direction, that disappeared.
He was taken over, instead, by the desire to respond in kind, but he struggled with it. Instead, his bright yellow eyes narrowed somewhat and, in the flattest tone he could manage, he ask of Hybrid, What the fuck is your problem?
