When he had first found out about what his father had done, one of his greatest fears had been becoming the man who had sired him. He had been afraid that he too was capable of such heinous and horrible acts. That was why he had hidden himself away in the city and medicated himself with the alcohol that was found there in abundance. Since he had climbed out of that hole, he had mostly left that fear behind him, but it still lurked there in the back of his mind. He wondered if Princess worried the same thing. Worried that she would become like her mother. Haven trusted that, if they both worked hard, that they wouldn't follow in their parents' footsteps. They could rise above those that had beget them.

The Aatte male could almost feel the energy rapidly leaving her small form and he hugged her close for a moment, hoping to hold some in so it didn't leave her completely. He didn't know how long she had been going, but it was clear that she had no more strength to continue on right now. "Of course I don't mind. You can stay as long as you need." I want you to stay forever, he thought, but did not give voice to the notion. His hand reassuring stroked her curled hair, readjusting himself so they could both be more comfortable on the couch. Even if she had wanted to leave, he would have insisted she stayed until she got some rest and was up to the travel. Princess had been through a lot and she just needed a place where she could relax and regain her strength. If that place was here, then Haven was more than happy to have her stay.
