Life in Technicolor

A little PP, as far as sequence of events goes 300+

Every time he came back to Crimson Dreams it was both strange and comforting. Comforting because there was, and always would be, a part of him that would consider this pack home. As long as the manor stood and as long as his mother and sister lived her, a part of him would always belong here too. It was strange too though, because so much had changed since he had left these lands and struck out looking for his new life. The large, important things never changed, but he noticed the small and subtle things that were altered. Maybe they hadn't really changed, maybe he just remembered things differently. None of that matter though as he embraced the woman that had always been his mother, regardless that they shared no blood. Even the guilt at not coming more often was washed away as she spoke his name.

Princess gave them a moment before walking over and asking Anu how she was. Haven was glad to hear she was well, and he pulled away smiling back at her. The son then took a seat beside her, giving a glance towards Princess. She was of course welcome to sit either by his mother or him, but of course the selfish part of him wanted her by his side always. He always felt better when she was right by him, especially after she had been attacked by the pale stranger. As he looked back to his mother though he finally noticed a difference in her. Her form was more filled out than usual, especially her stomach which was rounded somewhat. A quizzical look came to his face, but his mother's question soon diverted his attention, for the moment at least.

The Knight knew that she was asking the question of Princess more than himself, so he stayed quiet and allowed her to answer. When she had finished he looked over to her and smiled warmly before turning back to Anu. "Mom, we came here to tell you something," he said, pausing as he reached out to grasp his woman's hand. "Princess and I are mates now, officially." He looked joyfully at her, waiting to see the happiness and approval that his words were bound to evoke.
