We could either cap it OOCly here or you could reply again! Big Grin (504)

Of all the silver-shaded woman's weaknesses, social interaction was perhaps the most damaging. Kaena did not tend to keep many friends that were not bound to her by blood or clan. She had no interest in outsiders for the most part, especially not most pack wolves. Then again, her own daughter lived in a pack now, and her other children had lived in packs long before the present time. She could not make their decisions for them, however, and the silver-shaded woman knew such efforts were futile. Rikka was very likely better off in the calm Miracles pack rather than amongst her family, anyway—Inferni was simply a magnet for trouble, and it attracted the worst kind.

It was highly unlikely that Kaena would have caught an outright lie; she was not particularly good at interpreting the more complex spectrum of body language, and if Rosario or anyone else was even half-decent at lying, they would have rather easily slipped it by her. The other canine, however, did not seem as if she were attempting to exaggerate—exactly the opposite, in fact. Rosario stated that she was not particularly good at anything, once again in her thick accent. The sable ears of the woman pricked forward to better catch her words, nodding her scarred head. Though her expression did not change, the hybrid did appreciate the honesty—she would much rather have someone who did not attempt to stretch or twist the truth than a canine who claimed to do everything, yet turned out to be as useless as a newborn.

The coyote clan had taken in canines in worse shape than this one—injured ones who needed weeks of recuperation and care, younger ones who were totally dependent. The silver-shaded hybrid did not think a lack of specialization was enough to warrant turning this newcomer away from the clan; it took a hell of a lot for rejection where Inferni was concerned. They could always stand to add to their ranks, after all. “No, no need, really,” the hybrid responded. There was no reason for Kaena to ask for a demonstration or anything from the smaller coyote; such a thing would hardly prove useful in determining the longevity of Rosario's membership in Inferni. “As long as you're willing to pull your weight and you can learn, you can stay,” the silver-shaded woman said.

“Come on,” the coyote said, turning toward the inner territory and indicating it was quite alright for Rosario to pass the border as well. The scarred woman ambled forward into the territory, turning her good eye and ear back to the newest addition to the clan to speak again. “Some of Inferni lives in the caves, some of us in the mansion. You can stay wherever you'd like, though,” she explained. “You've been traveling a while, so take some time to rest.” The Centurion had no idea just how far Rosario had traveled to come to Inferni; if she had known, her feet might have ached for the other canine.
