The male before her had always seemed gentler than his harsh appearance suggested. Tattoos and piercings was scattered all around along with his general unique look and those unsettling eyes. The first time she had stared into those eyes, she had been intrigued by the rare colour display. He had remained her friend even if she had rarely treated him like one, to be true. She had always known that she was beautiful to the eye, but after Samael’s cruel act, she saw little beauty in her features anymore. She felt permanently stained because of what had happened, but there was another reason for why she was so upset in general. The young Lykoi knew that she had nothing of value. Her personality was a nightmare; a dangerous temper supplied with cruel words. She had once wondered why she was lonely, but the answer was ridiculously easy to see now. She was a horror, and full of self pity. She actually made herself ill.

The male stepped closer and she could feel fingers grasp her hands and pull them away from her weeping face. Even now, an impulse to slap him emerged bluntly. Of course, she did not heed it. To show her emotions openly like this was so hard. Her ruby hued gaze could not stay on his. It was horrible to shed tears in another individual’s presence. She was a warrior—she needed to be strong. Yet here she was, and she was not strong at all. He cupped her cheek and prevented her face from shying away to hide from his eyes. She had not expected this. He wiped the tears away, but the touching move brought on more. She did not deserve his concern. He said he was sorry and she was as well. He told her that he was willing to listen, and she felt waves of blessed warmth rise within her. She was upset and no longer able to hide it from those she shared the mansion with, but the male did not laugh at her misfortune. He wanted to help her.

She did not know what she wanted. The cruel man she had thought was her father had proved not to be. She’d prefer Vitium to Samael. While Vitium had been cruel, Samael was nothing less but a monster. And her son, little Itachi did not even have a sire. It was impossible, but true. Something had happened, clearly, but her memory refused to acknowledge any such thing to have happened since Samael’s rape. The child was not Samael’s, but he was the only known man that had invaded her body in a way that could result in pregnancy. The woman was clueless. She leaned against the hybrid male; resting her tear wet face against his tawny shoulder. She missed her mother dearly. How could Halo ever hope to raise a child? ”There’s a child in my room,” she whispered in silent terror, as if such a thing was truly terrible and should not be mentioned. ”I haven’t been with any male.. before… I don’t know who the father is.”
