He had to pull at his mind, tell himself to get out of bed. His thoughts were that he’d keep thinking and making his throbbing headache worse if he didn’t move his body. He moved his arms, oh did that make it worse? No, he told himself as he lifted his body off the bed. He had such a headache, where had it come from? He never felt such pain in his life. He squinted out of his window, which he could see the blinding of the light, he squinted and groaned… what did he do last night? He remembered the beach, and Lolita, she’d shared some of her drink with him, but after the drink, what happened? Try as he might he couldn’t remember, like something stole them… he wondered if he fell asleep on the poor woman, that would make his day … he thought, she probably wouldn’t talk to him anymore. Then he remembered Marahute, she normally woke him before dawn… the sun was already up, he looked and there she was giving him the evilest eye ever, then he looked at his belt, it was never taken off, and the leather pouch that held the dried meat was torn to shreds… just great what else was going to go wrong today? He got up, and found the pitcher he normally had at his bedside table, filling Marahute’s water and his own small cup he drank, feeling as though he hadn’t drank in days, he finished the pitcher, and grumpily got up. The water had helped the headache, but only by a little. Enough for him to function today at least, maybe if he ate or found someone who could give him something that would take the ache away… Marahute, even though she seemed angry at him, jumped on his shoulder as he got up. He liked that. She always forgave him at least. He got into his other stash of dried meat and ate some then emptied a pouch of its contents and put in the rest of his stash… he needed to hunt and dry some more soon it seemed. He groaned. That wasn’t on his mind right now either. He left his room and moved slowly down the stairs. His mind full of what happened the night before, even though he couldn’t remember what happened. He found his way to the stables where Tobias was in his cage, he had been quiet, up until Niro pulled the cloth from the cave, then he made the loudest angriest of hawk noises ever. Niro felt horribly bad, he didn’t mean to sleep in so late. He gave the bird some extra of the dried meat, he wanted ot give the bird a reassuring pet, but he knew the bird wouldn’t let him near him now. He sighed and heard the horses outside, he’d probably go visit them, since he was normally in the stables before they were put to pasture. He moved out and smiled at the horses, they seemed quite happy, but when he went to move closer he saw the black and white paint horse… who did this fine beauty belong to, but as he thought that, it was as though the horse heard the wolf’s thoughts, the horse spotted him and his ears laid back, Niro knew that sign was to just walk away, and that’s what he did, he backed away from the small herd of horses, keeping his eyes on the new stallion before his back found the fence, in which he hurridly jumped over. That was when he saw he wasn’t alone.

Niro said surprised, the words that came out of his mouth just split his head in two and he put his hands on his head… he had done so well to get out, but now he was just splitting… well he did find another wolf, maybe he had some kind of miracle cure that would get his headache away.
