Thanks for beings so nice abouts mines foolishness! <333 RAMBLY KILLI RAMBLES ON. 300+

He felt sorry for the downward spiral of the vibes between them, just as sorry as she was. Bringing up her leg had been a harmless attempt of concern, and yet it had burned her, and he would not soon forget the smoldering pain he had seen in her lovely face at its mention. He sensed her discomfort, and if there was nothing else, at least they shared this feeling. This seemed quite ironic to him, given how desperately he wanted to impress her, and vice versa.

Nonetheless, he was touched by her consolance. He did not often think of Icarus, but his passing came back to Kansas with a wave of sudden shock. Oddly, the death of his only full blooded brother had never pained him -- all he could recall about it was this shock, being able to say that had a dead brother. He wondered if it was heartless of him to feel no pain. He'd been such a shy, loner of a child, opening himself up only to Firefly. Icarus was a faint memory, his perishing regarded like that of an acquaintance more than a closely bonded relative. He's... uh, in a better world than ours, I guess. Kansas spoke tentatively, softly. Now she had a glimpse into his beliefs, and he hoped she liked what she saw.

The pale man noticed her lean into a more comfortable position and emulated her, finding more ease as he leaned back on his elbows. He sighed a soothing breath of air, his smile now genuine and contented. Things were looking up. Perhaps, because he had already told himself they would. He nodded when she questioned Ember's position, but really could think of nothing else to add. He didn't know much about his sable sister; how awful, and how predictable, for him.

His gaze swept over her face as she described her view of Crimson Dreams, hoping to see more of her answer etched upon her expression. Sure enough, he thought he saw hesitance, though she spoke highly of the place. It was as if the things she mentioned were too commonplace for her. To Kansas, a quiet home, plenty of food, books, beloved family, and time to sit on his ass and think were all he had ever wanted. Here, he had each and every one of those things. Obviously, he would cherish his life as a Dreamer. However, he understood that Ghita probably did not want, or need, the same things. Chuckling good-naturedly, he swished his dark hair out of his eyes with a flick of his head. It's still nothing like Italy, I bet. It was another invitation for her to share, as he looked over at her with curious oceanic eyes.
