He had thought about returning with his father to see the other side of the family, but had thought better of it. Gideon had made real friends and bonds here in Dahlia de Mai and wished to stay in the pack. Even though when he'd come his initiative had been to find his father, he'd found so much more here in this pack. He still respected his father and thought fondly of him, as fondly as a son could think of someone he didn't see too much, but this was the place he wanted to live. He couldn't imagine leaving Bris and Conor and Nayru...and what about Saluce and Layla?
His siblings had chosen to leave, though, and that was their choice. Gideon could only hope that they would come back sometime soon and either visit or stay for permanent. They'd said that the visit up to the rest of the family was just that, a visit...so hopefully they would return soon. He had liked playing with them once they had found each other again, and had really enjoyed their company.
Today the youngster was playing out amongst the houses. He'd been pretty busy lately with learning how to fish and hunt...it was what he spent a majority of his time practicing these days. He wanted to try and perfect his skills so that he might be able to join in on a big pack hunt in the future. He was also glad to not have to rely so much on the food that Bris sometimes brought back for him. He could catch his own fish, now, if he devoted the time and tried really hard, and that was what mainly made up his diet.
He pranced down the paths between the houses, occasionally going down onto his belly to scoot himself forward so that he might stalk whatever prey he had found. He needed to practice these sneaking skills...so far, he wasn't doing too well with catching anything on land other than a few bugs. There were many butterflies about and he focused on these today, sneaking up behind a yellow and black striped one as it sat on a nearby flower.
