memories inside a spiral notebook

Ehno grinned as his sibling stumbled her way into the boat, holding the side of the small, wooden vessel as it rocked in the shallows from her movement. Finally they had been able to set aside some time together. They could reconnect, have fun, and forget about all the responsibilities and tasks that awaited them when they returned. It would be nice to just forget about everything for a while and just enjoy each other's company, listen to the sounds of the sea and feel the gentle rocking of the boat.

"The smaller ones are much more fun," he commented. As exciting as the large vessels they'd crossed the ocean were, little sweet adventures on boats like this provided more variety. Everything could be seen by simply sitting and enjoying the view, and small rowboats like this couldn't be taken too far out to be surrounded by the monotonous view of sea on all sides. Ehno lifted one leg over the side of the boat and gently pushed it a little farther from the shore before stepping in completely. The boat rocked slightly with the sudden added weight, but it was quick to settle back into a gentle stillness. He settled himself into one of the little bench seats and reached down to grab the two oars he made when fixing up the boat, offering one to Savina. "Let's get this little guy out on the water, shall we?"
