Denali could barely keep up the suspense, and he was nearly bouncing so high he could touch the clouds, but Alder finally did touch the snail, but he touched it on his shell, and the snail only popped one stem inside himself, but it came out rather quickly. Denali was disappointed, now he would have to show Alder the right way to poke a snail.
Awww you didn’t do it right. The snail can’t feel its shell, see you gotta poke it on its stem!
He said and put his paw where he’d originally thought Alder would have put his own paw. The snail immediately retreated to its shell, both of its stems going in first and then the rest of its body sucked itself in the shell. It was soo cool he wished he could do it. He didn’t pay attention to alder as he saw the snail pop back out, he could only giggle at the sight. Snails were just so funny. They were the best ever!

He said to alder, not taking his eyes off the snail who was now inching its way down the leaf. He didn’t know if Alder looked or not, he was just paying attention to the slimy thing. They were funny looking things, with eyes and mouths you could see, and he suspected the stems were his ears, trying to listen really well.
