Saluce’s head rose quietly then, hearing her speak of letting her do those chores. No he was dead set on doing these things. Those cool blue eyes looking over her quietly. Since they had been together, each of them had been doing their best to make the other more comfortable, but now it was as if they were doing too much and not enough for themselves. For a moment he considered it all, trying to figure out how they would ever get anything done if they both just continued on this road. Saluce was the male; it was his job to provide shelter, food, and support for his mate. So he just wrote it all off as part of his responsibility to make their home more fitting for her needs. It also meant he was taking a step farther away from his warrior nature, a step toward bringing life into the world instead of ending it. With a sigh his eyes fell on her knowing he loved her to much to begin a silly argument between them.

“Well, how about we do it together?” the grey spoke softly, knowing that maybe it would be fun for the two. A better option at least. They where a mated pair and so far they still hadn’t put forth much effort in doing things together, Maybe this would be a way for them to continue becoming a tighter knit couple. Licking her face again, loving her closeness at the moment, knowing she was sucking up as much warmth as she was able to cuddling so close to him. It didn’t bother him though, he was content to be hers, and maybe it meant he’d have to train her how to be a warrior as well. The thought alone hurt him, thinking of his sweet innocent little Layla becoming a dealer of death as well as life. All souls had the capability of doing such work; it all just boiled down to the right techniques to bring it out of them. Those techniques made him cringe in thought.

“Maybe for now since I don’t have much work to do, we can work on the house as a whole, get it ready for winter?” Knowing that human built homes relied on energy sources to provide warmth, they weren’t the greatest at holding heat. Sometimes they were very wasteful and Saluce already knew of several issues with the house that would make it difficult to keep warm. They had a fireplace, but it needed to be cleaned out, and it wouldn’t provide enough heat for the whole house. No they may have to make a makeshift room in the main room with plenty of blankets, pillows and other amenities for them to use in the dead of winter.

“We may have to make a makeshift room in the main room once winter arrives, where we can sleep, and live while using the fireplace for warmth. I’m afraid it won’t be able to heat the whole house this winter. I can work on a solution next spring but for now we need to think about that possibility.”
