The slate and ivory woman smiled as her mate cradled her face, expressing his own excitement to meet their children face to face. It wouldn't be long before he would be able to see them. She did not know precisely how long, but she could feel that it would be soon. Milky blue eyes closed for a moment as she leaned into her mate's touch, enjoying the simple feeling of his strong hand. He would be a great father to their pups, loving, understanding, nurturing. He would teach them so much, indeed in some ways more than she could ever teach them. She did not know for sure, but she hoped that both her children would be born with the full use of their eyes, something she had been denied at her birth. She did not regret her lack of vision, but she wanted so for her pups to be whole, without any infirmity in them when they were born. Heath would be in charge of teaching them things that required eyesight, such as the names of certain things that she could not identify without sight, like the sun and the clouds. She would be able to teach them how to use all of their other senses to the fullest and thus to experience their world to it's greatest extent.

When her mate replied to her inquiry about Lumiere, the collie woman was snapped back to reality, back from the depths of her imagination. Her smile broadened as her mate expressed the wellbeing of his pregnant steed. The luperci mother was glad to hear that her equine counterpart was going through pregnancy just fine. As the mare's approach answered her master's call, Ruri was eager indeed to feel the unborn foal within Lumiere's womb. She let Heath guide her delicate white hand to the horse's distended belly where she pressed her palm gently. The movement of the baby horse inside its mother was sudden, but powerful, much stronger than the movements of both of her pup's combined. "Goodness, and here I thought the pups were vigorous. I can't imagine what it would feel like if their kicks were as strong as that. It'd probably be a great deal more painful!" She laughed, in an almost nervous manner. She would never even think to complain about her pup's quickenings again. Lumiere seemed to have it far worse off than she ever would. Ruri did not dwell on the negatives of pregnancy much, and that was one more that she would never think of again.
