The rounded, compact kick found its target and dealt the blow to the secui’s ribs. The beast turned, sharp fangs in pursuit of his leg instantly, but he had to partially turn and the knee was withdrawn the moment it had connected with the hulky form. That was what granted such strength behind the move without jeopardizing the balance, to be able to harbour full control over the muscles that delivered damage. His stance shifted as the foot found ground behind the rooted one and he allowed his knees to crouch ever so slightly to ensure his posture. Perhaps damage could have been dealt if the creature had not decided to speak.

Hard lilac glared at the form and little attention lingered on the words spoken. Another step backwards brought him on temporary distance from the tawny silver form as long as his front was facing his golden form. As long as the attention was on him, Conor knew that both Gideon, Saluce and Bris could deliver quite some damage before the large beast could turn around again. It was a lost cause for the loner, and so an uncharacteristic grin settled on the Alpha’s lips. This man was old, but he seemed to hold the knowledge of an infant’s when it came to the nature of wolves. If he fought one member of a wolf pack, he had to battle them all.
