First I would like to thank you all for making Noss's debut in Souls so epic Tongue I would like this particular thread to end sooner than later, and I apologize for his backwards thinking and how it may confuse people; he's just a confused wolf as it is :3 So thank you, and sorry about Saluce's tail :S Also, despite his later offer, please don't kill him -w-

Let them come. To the death, was what Noss had thought... Before that streak of snow on too-long legs glanced at the corner of his vision. Unwillingly, unconsciously, with every muscle in his body urging him to keep fighting and stay focused, his mind stopped as the white wolfess sprinted towards him. His jaws and body stopped mid-grab for the autumn-wolf's leg, effectively forcing his legs to react and land with a loud thud off to the side, as the original opponent brought down new, strong fists directly to Noss's spine. By sheer instinct and conditioned muscles, Noss sidestepped as if he were play-fighting in the old days...

Because for that moment, that was all his mind could process.

The white wolf coming after him while fighting forced Noss's muscles to relax; a response he had trained himself to do with Ralla when she was little and he had been afraid of hurting her. It was enough.

The blow from the original opponent grazed him hard on the side--a few inches from his upraised spine--where the autumn-one had kneed him, and Noss felt that blow stun his bones into submission. Knees locking from the unlucky blunder of memory, Noss was slow to realize his predicament where he was now held at the shoulder by the white wolf and surrounded by the others. Very easily he could've reached and bit down hard enough on the white one's own throat before she could get away, but his muscles were still spasming from the near-fatal miss that had nonetheless rendered him paralyzed for the time.

Pride was high on Noss's list. But with that also came the logic of it. To continue would be humiliating, and even he could admit when he was bested. Smirking with the few muscles he currently had control of, Noss craned his chin upward to expose his throat in the universal sign of submission and defeat. "You wolves battle your own kind like you hunt your prey," he said jovially from the post-battle adrennaline. He was not impressed with the singular strength of his opponents, and he felt humbled to have been taken down by a bunch of pups, for that was all they were to Noss; young wolves playing a hunting game with no honor. Despite that, he kept his submissive position to let the winners of the fight do as they wished with him, as was their right now.

But he was already prepared should they fail his next self-formulated test of honor. If they killed him, whichever wolf came near to do the deed would die with Noss. He was fast regaining control of his muscles--that of which, layered, had taken the brunt of the earlier blow--and he would be able to grapple and kill an opponent at such a close range given the chance. It was not dishonorable; simply, in Noss's mind, a fair exchange. If they were to take the Crescent Moon Pack's next Chief, he would likewise take someone precious from them. It was vindictive, but Noss was the one ultimately slighted, and he knew not of the wrong-ness of revenge.

I do not fear death... But I am prepared for it.
