Izaak took a step back as the female had forced her way inside the room. He appeared ignorant of her anger. Or at least that it was being directed at him. How could he when he still had that happy little smile on his lips. He had thought he had done a good thing. He was proud of himself for rescuing something that belonged to another. And he wasn't even considering keep it for himself either. He actually wanted to return the rodents to their proper owner instead of trying to keep them for himself. That was being considerably considerate and kind of him. Especially since anything that he found was quite generally claimed for himself.
"Kennen Sie Halo?" The question was spoken as the boy moved to plop himself back down on the bed. He had no idea that the woman he was seeking had come right to there he was. For all he knew this female could have been the one to steal the rats in the first place. For all he knew that was why she was yelling. He could have thwarted whatever plans she had. He could have ruined all of her hard work. But Izaak's mind was still stuck on how proud of him Halo would be when she learned that he had rescued her rodents from whoever has taken them and caged them up down in the basement.
When he was questioned he eagerly nodded his head. He knew exactly what he had done. Or what it was that he thought that he had done. "Ich rettete Halo's Ratten. Sie wurden gestohlen und gefangen in Käfigen im Untergeschoss. Ich rettete sie." He stated the words rather proudly. Of course he was quite happy with what he did because he had no idea what the rats were trained to do but just that they belonged to someone else. He simply thought that he had been helping out and that was it.
