His turquoise eyes drifted upward from their attentive aim at the ground below his snout, and met the similar gaze of his sister-in-law. His tail lifted and wagged a few times in greeting as he remembered their last encounter. It had been frought with uncertainty for the shy male, but overall, he had enjoyed her company. They hadn't spoken much since them, and he suspected that she was busy with her second litter, rightly so. He was glad to see that she seemed to have taken a break, evidenced by the dead rabbit resting between her paws. Kansas looked away from it, knowing that he would embarrass himself by salivating if he gazed at the sweet smelling blood for too long.



Hey, Ghita, he spoke amiably, closing the short distance between them. I... was just looking for something to eat, eh, and, as if on cue, his stomach rumbled impatiently for all to hear. Really hungry, he explained. He had begun to wonder if there was any prey to be had, but seeing Ghita's lagomorph meal renewered his hope in finding something, somewhere. But, of course, he could first spare a few moments to catch up with the pleasant agouti-furred fey, if his protesting stomach had not disgusted her.
