The man had watched her reaction, stating simply, "Well, it's an acquired taste." It must have been.
Dark ears swerved forward to catch his name, her lips curling back in that signature smile as he introduced himself.
"Strel. Strelein von Rosnete." spoke the handsome man.
Sage enjoyed that he stated a nickname first. He must be friendly; Thank goodness, she thought, realizing how helpless she had been.
The young girl watched, eyebrows slightly raised in interest, as the man took a strong whiff of the beverage. His reaction made her giggle slightly.
"Whoa, that's potent!" he exclaimed, though he seemed intrigued.
Strelein appeared interested in the drink, and so was Sage. Though she'd never tasted alcohol before, she certainly wondered how it might effect her. Strel seemed to be surprised by it, so perhaps it was even stronger than normal.
She eased over to him, leaning her nose near the opening of the bottle and taking a small sniff herself. The pungent scent harassed her nose and she turned her head away, leaning back once again.
"Wow..." the girl looked up at the man, her straw eyes matching his violet ones. She raised an eyebrow once again, nodding her head briefly towards the bottle.
"Well? Go ahead, try it!" she urged gently. Really, she wanted to see if he was able to drink it without retching. Then, maybe she'd be able to, as well. This was the stuff that humans drank on a regular basis, and she had some relatives that had done the same. Maybe there was something good to it, though she knew that it had a bad side, as well. A darkness flashed in her mind as she pondered what she'd seen alcohol do to some. Everything in moderation... was the motto she remembered as she put this thought aside. Sage wouldn't let something control her without inviting it to.
