Heath would never bound someone by their blood. No, since his was tainted with the blood of a rapist and a murderer. He had to keep himself from that, as well as the those that held it. His brother had left, as had his sister. He was all that remained from that family. They had broken the bond and the pledge to destroy the one that had killed their mother. Blood meant nothing to Heath, those faces mere memories and nothing for him to be happy to know still existed. He could not be tied to those that he did not wish to be tied to, and he could not say that Anann needed the same. If they were as this male was then Heath would have run from them too. Heath could see the iron shackles that the gray man carried, ready to chain his golden furred friend to a world she wished to be freed from.
Never could he let that happen.
She no longer goes by the name. He snarled at him, feeling the tension rise once again to another dangerous notch. Heath broke the distance that he had kept with another step. The threat of trespassing into his pack's lands alive in the last words the stranger spoke. His face was set in a scowl, disgusted and angry that he would ever think he could take such liberties when Heath had spoken his warning.
This is not a game you want to play. Heath spat, another warning with teeth perfectly visible. Slowly beside him his hand, the black tinted arm that was practiced in the art, balled into the fist it was all too comfortable in.
