The little girl's reaction broke Maria's heart as she shuffled away. The dark woman had to shift her weight so there was not much pressure on her broken leg. "Montidora?" she asked and leaned forward with her hand, trying to reach out to the child. Her motherly instincts kicked in quickly and she sighed, unable to leave the child alone. "You have family?" she asked and looked around, quickly scanning the area. The child was very much underweight and she cringed at the sight, trying to reach out and touch the girl's side. "You come eat?" she asked and looked back in the direction of her house she shared with her love, where a deer was stored away from an earlier kill. Maria smiled gently, hoping the other would take up on her offer and not shy away.
