She settled with caution upon the others lap, her eyes blinking, blinking, and closing- still feeling terribly frail and sore. She had been walking a long time, and the soreness would not go away until two mornings after. She listened to the soothing words the female spoke, her tail flopping, though hope was hardly lit in her- yet. "Monti ist happy. I is... tired," She said, her eyes closing.


And in two moments more, her eyes closed- and stayed that way, as she fell asleep cradled within the lap of Maria, for the first time in a long time, feeling safe and comfortable, and not fearing for her life.
