Everything was going so quickly yet Shawchert felt as if everything went in slow motion… Fallen seemed to know what he was doing but then, even as she backed away from Shawchert’s touch it seemed that she didn’t want either of them there right then, but Shaw was stubborn and he knew that she needed someone. He took her next wave of pain to hurry to her in the snow and put loving arms around her as she swore, and looking down, his heart stopped… there was blood.
Get a blanket, something, tear the house apart but find a blanket!
He said to the male that knew what he was doing. His heart was aching, and he didn’t know what to do himself, he stroked her fine hair, hoping the pain would stop that it was nothing but a false labor… but the blood, oh the blood.

His voice buzzed in her ear lightly, trying to put whatever calm he had into her being, though if it worked or not was out of his hands, he hoped like heck that she would calm that it was only something that panic was making worse and if it got better everything would be ok. He started humming the lullaby that she had taught him, in hopes it would sooth her in any way, though at this moment he wasn’t sure what really could sooth a poor mother who knew it was too early for her pups to be born.
