Amata sat back, listening to what her mother had to say. The story souned like something wonderful at first, until after her grandmother had explained the pregnancy… she did not know any of this… or even much about her grandfather. It made her heart hurt to know her grandmother had been abused so… she did not know her, but she could imagine her being like her own mother, caring compassionate… loving, though over protective, though it didn’t seem that she would have that quality from the way Savina told the story, though it was as much as she knew of her grandmother other than she had been killed by a bear, and her own mother nearly so.

That was horrible.

She said in shock and anger. How could men do such disgusting things, but her mother turned it around, that though there were men like her grandfather, and the man she’d fallen in love with herself… there were also men like her father… he had been caring, still was, and She loved him, just as the only other male she felt she could love was her brother, but she did not think she could go down the path her sister had with Mati, she had no interest in women, and even though Savina had given her comforting words… she had no interest in males… The best thing for her to do was look forward to her job, and her place in the pack.

Thank you mamma, I will try to remember.

She said, though she was still on the verge of another breakdown, and knew that she had to keep her mind occupied, she looked at her mother’s bandaged arm.

Does it hurt still, I’m sure Cambria gave you something to take for the pain, did you have to get it stitched up?

With them being so busy her and Cambria didn’t have time to exchange notes on what they did to which patient. Amata had gotten the worst of the few, with Jazper’s chest wound she had to stitch it and he had been in and out of consciousness the whole time. She wondered if Savina needed stitching too, how deep it had been, it had to be deep or she would be able to change… it hurt her to think her mother in pain, even though she knew her mother had attacked an innocent, but the woman seemed ot have every reason to… as the bear was trespassing on their property, not to mention the fear that had to have coursed through her mother when she saw her.
