Where it all began

Though the storm had been devestating and dangerous, the King realized that there had been minimal damage. Trees had been ripped from the ground and some of the houses in Lunenburg had been destroyed, but the hotel had remained standing with minimal problems and the stables were standing, the horses safe. He had notied that the iron fence surrounding the hotel had sustained a good deal of damage, but he knew that those things could be repaired. The Blacksmith would work on that as soon as time permitted. What was important was ensuring that everyone was safe. Thankfully, his daughter, her mate, and her mate's daughter had been found. The King was so terribly grateful for that. Unfortunately, Kambujiya still had not turned up... The dog mutt did hope that he was somewhere safe or that he had been taken in by someone else, as long as he was not dead—anything would be preferrable to that.

Now that the storm was seemingly over and they were left without only the aftermath of winter's rage, the King found himself venturing farther away from the hotel where his mate and sons were safe to look over all the damage that had been done to the pack's territory. He was not the only one to be doing so, he realized as the sound of the Huntsman's call for him and for anyone else in addition to come. The male's heart leapt in his chest. What if Niro had found one of their pack members, taken as a victim by the storm? The King took a moment to calm himself and then set off in the direction of the howl, moving quickly and with purpose. It was only as he drew nearer that he realized where the source of the howl had come from. Firefly's Cabin was a landmark for the pack, though he had joined only shortly after it ceased being used to shelter the founding members. Though only one of the founding members, Haven, remained, the King knew that this was an important place for the Miracles pack.

The devestation was obvious; the cabin was torn down entirely, pieces thrown far and near. Jade eyes scanned over the wreckage sadly. Though he had hardly known Firefly and she was no longer a member and was not likely to return, this was extremely sad. To see the original place of the pack's formation so damaged beyond repair added a terrible weight to his heart. "This place is so important to our pack... We should clean it up, and mark the spot," he spoke to both. Amaranth, he knew, had been close to Firefly; this was likely very hard for her.
