She knew he glided in a different direction while they sniffed out their meal, but she did not care. To gain more distance, and to be sure they found their prey there was a need for parting form each other’s sides. Besides, they were hunting rabbits not elk. The female wolf sighed as she snuffed around the ground, her ears pointed up in listened concentration. She huffed and then raised her head up to the sound of Leon’s voice calling her to his side.

She wagged her tail briefly in her privacy before she walked out from her small patch of shrubbery and trotted up to where Leon was. Her ears were erect, and her eyes glanced over to the small rabbit hole. She huffed, and then looked up at Leon.

“Is this the entrance, or the end?” she asked eager to get on with this small hunt.

She looked in three different directions, her eyes darting back and forth until they came to rest once more on her hunting partner. “Where’s the other side?” She asked.
