Kiss with a fist

Geneva spent most of her time at present at Mirror Lakes Villa. She had been working slowly but surely at converting St. Augustine's Church, a modest but large space, into a functional base of operations for Phoenix Valley. The ranch, where she had lived with her son and mate, had once been the informal meeting place of the pack. Now they needed somewhere else to congregate. Since Mirror Lakes Villa was centrally located and had suffered relatively little damage, it made sense to the gray colored female to do her best to make it home, for now.

Every few days, she would set out from the church and neighboring structures of Mirror Lakes Villa in search of supplies. It had been hard returning to the ranch house, but she had been trying to find materials and resources that were salvageable. Some days she was lucky, and other days she would return to the church with her back and legs aching, empty-handed. She hoped that today would not be one of those days.

The small-boned wolfess moved like a two-legged, lithe ghost across the snowbanks, marveling at the fact that she had fought so hard against the same snow only weeks before. Nature could be kind, gentle, and provide great things, and it could also be cruel and dispassionate. She decided to scavenge amongst the abandoned, destroyed cabins for usable supplies. Lime green eyes fell upon Tala. She had not seen the wolfess in many days and had worried about her, but had not had time to seek her out in the midst of destruction and everything else that she had to do. But she was glad to see her whole, if not unscathed by what had passed.

She was obviously taking in the damage to her home. Geneva sank down beside her, surveying the wreckage of what once had been Tala's cabin. With sympathy, she rested a hand on the woman's shoulder."We will help you to rebuild it, when the times comes," she said softly.
