That's what little girls are made of, lol. And we were gonna thread, but you didn't realize I'd put one up, so you didn't reply, and then my stupid husband made me leave Souls.

Nose twitching, Hanna entered the Sugarwoods, a territory of huge maple trees. She had thought her eyes were deceiving her at first, because all the trees appeared to have noses sticking out of them around waist level. Upon further inspection and some elbow grease, Hanna discovered the secret to these appendages. When the little handle was turned, an amber liquid too viscous to be alcohol dripped steadily from the opposite side, which contained a hole. The hole apparently extended into the tree, and was parading the sap from the tree to.. well, currently, the ground. Hanna turned the spigot's handle the other way, and trotted a little further into the forest, where she found the remains of one of the sugar houses.
Gingerly gathering herself up the steps, Hanna peered inside and quickly found a rusted metal bucket. Grabbing it, she trotted back to the tree she'd been inspecting before and hung the bucket from the spigot, then wrenched the knob back to the 'on' position. A steady dripping sound on the inside of the container informed Hanna that her efforts had been rewarded. When a small amount had accumulated, Hanna swiped some onto her finger and into her mouth.
The substance was bitter with undertones of sweetness. With a proper helper, the female decided she could probably make the sap into syrup. Now if she could just find a reasonably handy assistant...
