He was displeased, and it stung a portion of the russet female's pride. It wasn't as if she blamed him. After all, she'd dragged him away from a fresh (albeit disgusting) kill for half-frozen meat and a bad attitude. Still, her ears flattened in distress. "Ist kalt." She didn't understand the words, but could only assume he was commenting on the temperature. As quickly as she'd sat, she was up and digging around for anything she could use to start a fire; it ended up being the remnants of her blue tank top and some small bits of dried timber. Starting the fire was more difficult than it should have been, but she managed, and a small building flame erupted over the makeshift fuel. Something she'd learned from Ezekiel, much like how to cook a basic meal. Unlike her brother, she had no flavorful plants. She'd simply have to make due with hoping the meat itself tasted fresh enough.

The Lykoi used her claws to peel bark from a slender stick, picking at the tip to create a point before skewering the kill. It was a difficult process, with the wood resisting against the solid flesh; determined to please, she pushed with more force, and finally it pierced the slab well enough for her to stand it near the fire to cook. Her crimson eyes watched the flames, waiting for the meat to char just enough to add flavor. "I didn't invite you here to placate your attitude, Cotl," she mumbled, her tail sweeping across the floor of the den in partial irritation. He didn't gain the same docile and loving attention that the golden prince did, purely because she felt entitled to her dominating opinion. Cotl was just another male, while she was a beloved princess of the powerful Inferni, and daughter to Gabriel de le Poer. She was more than he'd ever hope to be.
