Leave it to Bangle to ruin urrvrything. +5

The news hit his bat-like ears a bit late.

As the coywolf had a tendency to do, he packed up some things and traveled to neighboring places, trading goods for others, then making more to compensate. Bangle was on one of those trips, having been gone for only a couple of days, when he heard of Orin finally giving birth. The noises that his oddities and commodities made as he ran through brush, spring, and mire meant little to the multicolored male, but it was the first (proper) birth that the pack would see. And he was missing everything.

It took time, however, to get over the incident that began the gypsy's journey in the first place. The accident was his fault, and his alone, but it would have never brought him to where he was now. After all those years, Bangle felt like he owed something to those young lives that were lost, and felt a certain connection to have to be there when Orin brought her and Shaw's puppies into the world.

His legs pumped, bowls and skulls and other sorts that dangled from his pack swinging in full motion with the coywolf's rapid movements. Snow crunched under his feet, but as soon as he met the ground he was taking another step or two. As he ran, a grin spread itself across his face, feeling strangely excited for his friend that was about to become a mother. When he made a full circle towards the larger houses, the male was out of breath, pushing through the large wooden door.

"I'm back! I'm 'ere! Let's 'ave us some pup--" But as quick as he spit his words out when he slammed open the door, the wandering merchant fell silent. Despite the other three figures in on the scene, the light that played through the windows and streamed through the open door lit upon the new mother like a beacon. And there, nuzzled into her side were three newborn fuzzballs. Orange eyes widened, now knowing how much commotion he made despite the silence that was needed - both for the pups and for the tender moment.

Without another word, Bangle shut his trap and made to close the door silently. It creaked, though, which made the coywolf wince. Jewelry on his body jingled in protest, and the coywolf set down his traveling pack as gently as he could on the floor, afraid to make more noise than he already had. After brushing himself off (and hearing his bracelets 'jingle jangle' some more), Bangle took a step forward, and none any closer.

Standing next to Skye without even knowing it, his exuberant eyes softened, overcome with a feeling he hadn't felt before. Ever since he had joined the pack, and decided to stay permanently, there were many changes that the gypsy had to make. He had friends now, and someone to provide for... things he would never have imagined in his traveling years. But it was the incident with the puppies that forever changed him, and those feelings came back two-fold as the male stared on at the scene in awe.
