Suddenly astonished at how the creature before him was able to pinpoint his heritage just by sensing his accent alone, the Italian was fascinated to know if Italian was familiar in these lands. The typical enlightenment of bewilderment passed over his agouti features, his fiery amber eyes widening slightly like a young boy discovering a mysterious reality for the first time. " … Yes, how do you know this?" For all one knows, Ettore's response could further lead the conversation into revealing what Italian heritage was around these parts - or as Ettore hoped this would be the case. With the dark little creature not acknowledging nor correcting what he was, Ettore was left to simply marvel at this species before him. Luperci were commonplace for werewolves and bipedal creatures of course, but then again… the size factor and the way he was colored threw him off entirely. "Tell me… and, I don't mean to be inconsiderate, but… what are you exactly?" Jackal could be the only possibility (and had been vaguely in the back of his mind), but the truth wasn't revealed until the dark creature spoke for itself.
The creature gave something of a robotic like glance around the ruins of the Amish village, not wearing any such expression of interest, admiration, or distaste. Disappointed to hear the entity (as he referred to himself as) didn't know any ample knowledge about the surrounding area, there was a soft comprehensible sounding sigh to blow through his nose. Not in dispiritedness directly to the entity, but in the knowing there was miles to travel yet before reaching a destination where the location of the area was commonplace among the locals. Ettore jumped to the conclusion the dark entity might have been a vagabond like himself. "Hmn. Unfortunate. Name is Ettore Russo, where are you traveling from?" Ettore went the length to introduce himself, figuring it wouldn't hurt to install some form of friendly mutual establishment in conversation.
